stairborne, most people don't have land like we do here in Maine, we take it for Granted, everytime I look out on my acreage I thank God for it, then a Coyote comes up and does his Indian whooping call and i get all pissed off LOL and have to get the puppies in....VBG

@Inventifier it's not that they're disloyal, it's just that their curiosity can sometimes get the better of them and they/ll just go off following whatever got their interest... that's why it's generally not recommended to have them off-leash unless you're husky's well-trained...

mishka's a very well-trained and happy dog, though, i doubt her owners would ever have to worry about that... if she's anything like my husky treats will bring her right back, lol...

@Inventifier It's not that they're not loyal, they're just super active and excited dogs. You can't let them inside all day long, they'll get bored and won't be happy, you must have a lot of time to spend with them. I've had huskys since i was a kid, awesome dogs !

They are good girls! Even though my golden is well trained, I'd still be hesitant to let her off leash with such an expanse for her to run in. I'd probably bring an extended leash so she had exploring capability, but I'd still be able to reel her back in when necessary.
