  • bad explanations i learned nothing

  • lol. i cant believe this vid is still getting comments..i tried to find a way to hide it. its so old! xD

  • hey vs u post haircut ? giv me buzz if u interest in vsin for fun

  • this is hard ! i still don't get how to texturize the hair , how to texturize thick hair ?

  • whats the name of the song?

  • ooh c'mon you didn't cut anything xD it looks like before xD

  • @wurschrtl: uhh i was giving a trim like it says in the beginning..AND the camera ran out of battery so the rest wasnt recorded... <_<

  • I wish I had some that good to cut my hair..... All I got is myself to cut it since my parents can only shave it all into a buzzcut.

  • I always start in the front so the haircut turns even all around then i do side back side it just saves time

  • Great job

  • nice job :D i want a hair cut like that 1 xd

  • oh your cousin is so kawaii! the first metal song was hella irra so i turned off the sound right away. the second song way less agro. thanks for posting. OMG your cute too.

  • it kinda looks same as beginning of video

  • what's the difference betw. razor cut and layer cut? or thinning?

  • you can also give your hair a natural look by cutting it normally and then thinning the tops with the shearing scizors :D ! i think so it happened to me it's all spiky when it's thinned out again :D !

  • name of the song?is it Aqua Timez?

  • @OROCHI70 yep niji

  • is ur cousin using a special scrissor or jsut a nomral one ?

  • @bogdan19902 we use both normal scissor and thinning shears

  • dude you should cut my hair..

  • 5.30 u cousin looks worried..u guys are cute

  • is this thinning or cuttin? cuz it looks abit like thinning but thanks alot it helps heaps! :)

  • its both

  • oh okay, so if i were to get asian cut, do you reccomend thinning shears or, just normal hair shears? xP

  • haha sweet 8] u guys r cute lol

  • hi- like ur video.... but i request you make a better one for the people who don't know crap about cutting -maybe close up shots n back shots

    thankXXXX

  • You should do more videos... I'm gonna cut my lil brother's hair today, so this video helps a lot! x]

  • this may sound sstupid but, is it possible to cut your hair with ordinary scissors? :S

  • you mean like everyday use scissors?? i dont recommend it bc it can cause damage to the hair like split ends

  • I v cut my hair with normal scisssors and it worked

  • ooh okay, did it get split end or anything?

  • No the scissors just have to be really sharp

  • oooh,okay then thanks a bunch :)

  • you can't do layering with paper scissors. they tend to push hair along the edges of the scissors and leave a strange angular 'cut'. not really advisable..

  • You're pretty good. I wish i had u cut my hair =) I live in Washington state though, but I'm looking for a good place to give me a really good asian hair style, cus I'm a male asian too. I don't really know where to go to though :D

  • what's the songs name, it sounds like its from aqua timez

  • it is, the titles are at the end of the video

  • loved the song you used in your video. btw, I'm also learning how to cut hair and I find your video to be very inspirational. thanks~ :D. Btw, do you cut your own hair too?

  • at the moment no, because i dont have a second mirror to see the back.

  • when you do, could you make a video tutorial on how to cut your own hair? thanks :D

  • lol, sure..that might be awhile since i plan on actually going to haircutting school, but i will eventually

  • Your cousin's funny faces are cute~~

  • There seem to be a huge difference between asian and european hair. Would you recommend me to look for a special asian hairstylist or can european stylists handle asian hair aswell?

Obviously my european hairstylist is not used to cut the styles asians want to have...

  • i dunno about europe but in american stylissts dont even have thinner blade/ saw scissors. also they dont tend to use scissors at all much. its impossible to get layered hair w/o these so id reccomend asian stylist. althought stylists for scene hair seem to have the asian thing down :P

basically if they get out the electric shears gtfo!!

  • actually a lot of american stylist use thinning shears. you must be going to the wrong places...and there are european people that know how to cut these styles..you just have to look for them

  • i dont know what to do with my hair because its really thick. I want to thin it but it means that i need to cut my hair which i do not want. help please?

  • are you trying to grow your hair out?? its ok to get it thinned..when you thin, your cutting in between so you shouldnt really lose length. if so, it will be very minimal. if you plan on going to a salon to get it done (which i suggest if you have no clue what you're doing), just say that you "want to thin it BUT keep the length"

  • you dont need to remove oil to cut your hair o__O my hair stylist dosn't do that if you dont have any products in your hair and she uses normal scissors and she can do layers and stuff with it... O__O

  • sure you do...thats the first rule you learn about cutting. people usually dont tend to follow this practice unless they have the more expensive shears..the oils will dull the the blades eventually

  • I so need a new hair style. I need a change

  • my hairstylist just cut my hair.

at first she used like thinning shears with wide gaps.

then she used thinning shears with narrow gaps.

what do you think of that...move onto another one?

  • no. she just thinned your hair with the ones with the 'wide gaps' and texturized with the narrow. like anything else, theres more than one way to do something.

  • Not bad trim liked it even longer your hair looks great longer too.

  • if I just tell the hairdresser "I just want a sort of Asian natural hairstyle" do you think they'll just do it?

  • too bad its not that simple, unless you want a random hairstyle that might not even suite your facial structure. its best to choose your own hairstyle and have them cut it. plus, "asian hairstyle" could mean anything. they could give you that short buzz asian cut with the spikes on top for all you know. =X

  • ei bro waddup with the bangs?? didn't saw how you cut it...

  • do you cut your own hair?

  • isn´t it a good way to make it easier for gaining volume by cutting your hair in texturing way? because its much more easier to get them up with products like gatsby or something, if your hair isn´t that thick and heavy anymore, is it?

  • yes

  • whew! NIJI!!!!!!!! aqua timez!!!!!

  • get vid, u should cut me hair too haha but my hair is so uhh not good i guess? haha ah wats a good shampoo to use?

  • depends on your hair type..you can practically use anything EXCEPT Head & Shoulder or V05

i suggest anything that says "shine" or "silk" on it. if you are willing to spend a little extra try: Nioxin / Paul Mitchell / Biolage / Redkin, but if not something like herbel essence should do. its more about preference.

and its better to get one that doesnt have conditioner in it..get the conditioner separate!

  • whats the song's name at 2:25

  • songs are listed at the end of the video

  • thx

  • yeah your cousins' a famous hairstyles at chopchop? haha cool xD i know a hair stylist at the i think it's 13th street hair salon. i hope you get your way to the top!

  • HEY TRUNGIIE! I was wondering how do you layer your hair?

  • by doing a 90 degree cut with point cutting.

also using the technique in my video should help. its, been awhile since i've attempted to make another tutorial. maybe sometime within the next month or so i will probably do a better haircutting vid and styling..

  • Nice vid. How do you style that hair and what products would you use?

  • actually , i have a little question, this may involve most asians, but i have that typical asian fro and im tired of using gel to make it spikey, so i dont want the spikey hair style, so what should i do (if i grow it out, it looks really ugly, mushroom head)

  • ur gonna have a mushroom head anyways so just let it grow and then just thin it and it will b good

  • who the heck still uses gel?

  • yo mama still use gel foo

  • hahaha you talk funny. Its like a wanna be black asian guy.

  • i r use wax and putty haha

  • yep me too. Its wat pros use today rofl

  • gel FTL! wax & clay are the way to go!! :)

  • by the way, to answer youre question, use thinning scissors.

Razor= NO NO. Instead of "thinning" your hair by the correct process, you end up thinning the strand of hair and damaging it by cutting the hair itself.

Thinning scissors are the go. Look at my profile pic (thats with hair wax (not gel)

    Gel= For americans

  • instead of thinning shears after the point cutting would a razor comb work as well to texturize the hair?

  • you could...but with the razor, you cant perfectly control how much is cut off when compared to thinning shears (which is the exact same each cut). razor work is definately left to more professional--which im not. BEWARE: if you do use razor, make sure its not dull or you will damage your hair (very noticable)

  • will cutting my hair with thinning shears give it more shine? cuz i have typical stiff asian hair and use shampoo/conditioner, but my hair still looks dry. If i have stiff hair should i use a shears to cut my hair?

  • no. you have to continually treat your hair to get it from being dry. try getting a shampoo that says anything along the lines of shine. it will take awhile since your current hair is most likely already damaged. but when your new hair comes in, it should be healthy

    good luck :)

  • Thank you so much for this video. My husband is Japanese and I need to cut his hair, but I am from the States... completely different style!! So, I looked EVERYWHERE for a video that would give me good techniques. Thank you so much. It is a clearly illustrated and explained video. Nice cut, too!

  • his not shy, hes got braces lol

  • but thats not the reason... why he ain't smiling xD

  • Where'd you get that hoodie ? Looks friggin awesome

  • never ever use a cheap item to cut the hair. cause will make u look not cool~ i support u... all the best... remember this line is very hard don give up.

  • question:

is a career in hair design enough to stock the fridge?

  • yea, cutting @ $35-40 a head...

  • my haircutter gave me a bunch of / " \ 's -___- is there any way to touch it up~ texturize at home, like with razors or something?

  • -.- I think I want you to be my hairstylist =)

  • do you cut your own hair?

  • thanks

  • great hair cutting vid!! sry it takes me a while to reply back LOL this vid would help a lot for layers and such, esp. for guys. People been asking me to do tuts for guys, but i guess i'll just link this to them ;) keep it up!!! <3 Kaystar

  • so how did you first start practicing? i got shears and the thinning scissors stuff but i can't just go around cutting people's hair you know. what if i mess up. did you practice on a wig?

  • i never practice on a manniquin or anything before. i just started cutting hair..i just imagine the haircut before i do it..i might need to start practicing on fake hair though before i start doing girls hair xD

  • hey cool video dude.

    im also an asian.

i got asian hair style video too.

    keep up the good work

  • really cool. thx!

  • wat are shears??

  • haircutting scissors

  • aww your cousin is so adorable

  • what do you ask for at a salon ?

  • layers and thinning

  • I asked for layer and thin and they did it then i went home and the top wouldnt spike im thinking bout cutting it a bit shorter on the top do you think it will make it spike?

  • spikes sometmes also require texturizing. depends on your hair length. if its long layering should have been enough but you would have to had to cut multiple times with the thinning shear like i show in my video

  • making it shorter wont make it spikey..you have to texturize it in order for it to spike, otherwise it will look like:

    / " \ instead of / \

  • dude your friend is CUTE! xD

  • wow. great job. Love the vid
