I can tell from your comment that you have very rarely watched Serena's matches and you only know what's been lamblasted all over the internet and newsmedia. If u had watched most of her press conferences then u would know that she does give her opponents credit & she shows sportsmanship.
Personally, I think that both Serena and Justine bring alot to the sport of tennis. Justine's one-handed backhand is (imho) the best in women's tennis. Justine's service game was not quite 100%, but improved in the second and third sets. It is still an accomplishment for Justine to reach the finals of a major tournament. Serena has improved her service game; she has the best first and second serves (very tricky, high kick) in the women's tournament: effectively uses her body to power groundies.
How about some credit for Williams' strategy? We hear plenty about her power and athleticism. But she deployed the superior tactics tonight. Henin was unnecessarily aggressive, took a lot of unneeded risks, served predictably up the middle, and failed to frustrate Serena with defense. It was Serena who picked her spots, took more measured risks and mixed her location on her serve. In short, she played like a champion.
THANK YOU!!! Finally someone who sees that it is more to Serena's game than just power. Serena is one clever, tactical player. The power of her strokes are just icing on the cake.

Personally, I think that both Serena and Justine bring alot to the sport of tennis. Justine's one-handed backhand is (imho) the best in women's tennis. Justine's service game was not quite 100%, but improved in the second and third sets. It is still an accomplishment for Justine to reach the finals of a major tournament. Serena has improved her service game; she has the best first and second serves (very tricky, high kick) in the women's tournament: effectively uses her body to power groundies.

How about some credit for Williams' strategy? We hear plenty about her power and athleticism. But she deployed the superior tactics tonight. Henin was unnecessarily aggressive, took a lot of unneeded risks, served predictably up the middle, and failed to frustrate Serena with defense. It was Serena who picked her spots, took more measured risks and mixed her location on her serve. In short, she played like a champion.

Henin has had some moments of poor sportsmanship, but indeed she seems pretty classy when compared to Serena. For example, I bet in the post match interview Henin won't claim to have been playing at 30% or that Serena made a lot of lucky shots.
