  • Awww man mine doesn't have the lusting lady on the front ::(

  • just ordered this card for $70 on new egg with free shipping yesterday. needed to replace my dead 8800 gts 640mb

  • @MarionetteKazuko yeah i got 2 for crossfire...$140 for 2 of these when they came out at $270

  • can i play battlefield 3 with this?

  • LOL Nvidia Quadro at the END ahaha :P

A Video about ATI Gaphics card with an advertisement of Nvidia on it :P Sweet~ ^_^

  • @TMoHSHaruhiSuzumiya haha...yeah

  • SLI FTW........

  • Anyone else think he looks like the guy from the upcoming Deus Ex game?

  • so... i dont have to sell my 4890 soc cf? :DDD

  • best video card for about 10 years :D

  • @ulysses00001 and now the 5970... sooo goood

  • Ahh... Friday's..

  • Friday cards should be cards. Because you can just pretend that the Friday card is out of school/work and is sooo happy because he/she knows that they are going to get drunk!

  • my 5850 owns this card @ 850mhz...

  • @franzken Erm 4890 has the same clock dude

  • @urban8fxs i mean 5850 oced to 850mhz will own a 4890

  • @franzken even HD5830 at default clock faster (20%)then HD4890

  • @franzken Yeah.. ofc, but I'm still loving the price of the 4890 for those who don't give a damn about DX11 it's a great card

  • 4890 = Computer Sex!

    AMD Phenom 955 B/E @ 3.5

    ATI 4890 x2 @ 875 MHz

    DDR3 8GB Ram 1600 MHz

  • i got my card sittin at 1ghz core clock with absolutely 0 problems. This is a beast of a gpu for the price, and it overclocks nicer than any gpu I have ever used. When the price drops I am gonna get a second 1 to CF instead of getting a newer gen card. Monster performance

  • Good thing the retard fanatics didn't get a hold of this video.

  • are they even doing video reviews for the newer cards coming out already like ati 5000 series or gtx 460 and 480? WTH happen? usually they jump right into those hardwares like hot cakes. regardless if they stopped doing video card reviews on youtube or not i guess ppl will just have to enjoy these reruns

  • why is the 4890 almost the same price of a 5750 wtf????

  • @yungstar49 the 4890 is better than the 5750/5770. Thats why.

  • my cousin bought one of these cause graphics card but he said that hes older 4890 was faster than his new one O_O'

  • hump day -________________-

  • So i have xfx 4890 but a little while it boots up it goes crazy hot, display dissapears and goes vruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum really loud...wtf?! i have 750 watt PSU -.-

  • Thinking about switching out my Gt240 for this.

    Specs:

    Q8300 Quad core @ 2.50Ghz (4CPUS)

    4GB Ram

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Comparitively the 4890 should double my current FPS, I believe.

  • will a lcpower take a hd 4890?

    and kept it cooled down?

  • Hey can anyone help me with this. Can modren warfare 2, farcry2, or crysis 2 be played on a 8x cd rom?

  • i don't understand the video card competition.gtx260 did54 on hawx and the 4890 did 62.i don't get it,it still runs very smooth.

  • xD the Fallout 3 gameplay was xbox 360!

  • @FlareStorm10 maybe they used an xbox controller

  • voodoo lol

  • 4890 or 5770 ? im stuck between them as i know that the 4890 only supports DX10 and the 5770 supports DX11- but i don't really see much different between the 2 plus DX11 will take a while to actually kick in (correct me if im wrong), i have seen benchmarks where the 4890 has come on top of the 5770 wich shocks me as the 5770 is a newer card, so yeah please help me decide wich is the best one to get for gaming. I want the best performance and please no fanboy's !

  • @NitroProffin Definataly the 4890. I was previously in the same situation as you, and now I can't decide between the 4890 or the 5850. I can't quite justify spending the extra 100 quid on the 5850 but maybe it would be better in the long term.

  • why would you buy a better card than this? lol its only 160 euro too

  • I plan to get this card. I currently run AMD Phenom x4 2.3GHz 8GB @ 800MHz with an XFX 4650 1GB.

I will get upgrading to a monitor with 1900x1080, DDR2 8GB Ram @ 1150 MHz. Will this card be the best one for me?

  • Can i put this card on Frontier 450W? I have Amd Athlon 3600+, 4Gb DDR2 and 500GB HDD more on that....now i use ATi 4670 1Gb DDR3..... If someone know can i try it tell me :P

  • @superscottiet 9800's are older than my grandma

  • i have a q6600 2.4ghz quad at stock speed and am going to play 1280 by 1024 on a 17' monitor, should i get the 4890 or go with something lower?

  • @shaninity i suggest you get something lower. what you need is alot lower, something like maybe a gt 240, gts 250, 9800 gt etc. If your on the ATi red side, something like a 5670, 5570, 5750, and if your greedy, the 5770 (waste of money). If your not playing the most demanding games, i suggest something like a gt 240. a 5670 gets better performance on the 1680 x 1050, but it would be wasted performance w/ it (it's slightly more expensive).

  • First of all two games,

    three games sorry,

crysis warhead, fallout3, farcry2 and tomclancy hawk, i am retarded because that's 4 games.

    XD

  • the 4890 is powerful card im getting it soon and after month i will get 4870 and making them in crossfire mode and i will see what performance will i get

  • now lets see what happens when i put this in my laptop :P

  • i still think that you get more bank per buck when you are getting the 4870

  • Also, according to benchmarks, in an actual artical, not just random benchmarks I looked at: The 4890 with a 100mhz OC on the core beat the Nvidia GTX 285 (Nvidia's fastest single Gpu card, period) in 4 out of 6 DX tests, and 70% of overall tests. Stock it's numbers consistently beat the GTX 260, both versions, and stood right next to the GTX 275, neck and neck most of the time. Now, consider price, and DirectX support, and the 4890 is the best card on the market in the sub $200 price range.

  • @HypnoticSuggestion u said nvidia fastest GPU card? what about HD5870 can beat GTX295 (which 5870 more cheaper about $150)??

  • Not sure exactly what you mean, um... If I'm reading you right, um, the Radeon 5870 is more powerful than "any" single Gpu card from Nvidia, the only card that can beat it is a "dual" Gpu card, that is VERY expensive, you probably know, the GTX 295 (Basically two GTX 275's).

However a 4890 still runs very very well with the GTX 200 cards and still has a place in the market IMO, 4870 as well, absolutely, they just won't OC like a 4890 tho, 4890 had major optimizations for OC'ing.

    Peace.

  • yeah...HD4890 really boost for it price

    even can beat GTX280/GTX275

btw GTX295 is basically from GTX260 dude

thats why HD4870 X2 almost like GTX295 even GTX260 in SLI mode

    correct me if im wrong...Thx

  • wrong dude, gtx295 is two gtx280 not 260, aniway ati4890 is a great card, and so 4870x2, not to talk about the new 5970

  • nope....u wrong..

try see GPU-z on GTX295..bus interface n bandwidth is same like GTX260..

i talk about it chip not performance ^_^

  • GTX280 is 140GBps bandwidth while base on 512bit bus unterface GDDR3

GTX260 is 111GBps bandwidth while base on 448bit bus interface GDDR3

see GTX295 on GPUz...it will same as GTX260 dude ^_^

  • Oh, the 5870 cannot beat the 295, it shouldn't, however it runs really good, and half the price. Regardless, I sold my two 5870's and with the tax return got a XFX 5970 Black Edition, I can assure it's the fastest card on the planet, well for now. I think the GTX 480 will give it a run for its' money, well mine lol.

I'll stay with single card, dual Gpu solution until I actually have the money for a full EyeFinity setup.

    I lost a little over $200 doing this....uhg, I rushed it, I'm stupid.

  • by the way HD5970 is dual chip of HD5850 on single board..

so..if GTX380/GTX480 will not pay for this card which price vs performace..

i'll better go for HD5870 CF or like urs HD5970 bcoz can support eyefinity and many more fetures on it..nvidia always prefer a good darc but can broke all gamers pocket dude

    =(

  • isn't eyefinity for triple monitor setup? and crossfire is for dual cards?

  • yes it is why did you know anything we dont?

  • huh?

    what are you talking about?

  • Yes. But I highly recommend two Gpu's for EyeFinity, it would be like running with your shoe laces tied together, unless maybe you grab a XFX Radeon 5970 Black Edition :) The misses is still bitching at me about that one... I'll be fixing everything in the house for the next 6 months....

  • hey its a 650watts psu enough to keep this card nicely??

  • @PcMrGaming yeah man with ezz

  • YES!

  • @PcMrGaming

    more than enough

  • Hey guys I don't wanna be a pain but do you think this is a good gaming rig:

    AMD Phenom II 955 (3.2GHz)

    XFX 4890 1GB

    3GB 1600 RAM

  • my bro has the same system (cept 4gbs of ram) and yeah for the most it part tears shit up... just a BARELY i mean BARley slower then my i7 920 + nvidia 285 gtx ocx. for gaming anywho.

  • @2601andrew yea, but get 4 gig of ram, 1 gig makes a big difference

  • @backsider578 cheers man but i'm only using 32-bit 7 so anything above 3gb is usually wasted.

  • @2601andrew go find win7 x64 dude..

can handle more thread than x86 os ^_^

  • Yes it's certainly a good gaming rig. I actually have 2 XFX 4890's in my old (X2/4GB) PC and they ran GREAT, both OC'd to 900mhz on the core!

As for your PC, very similar to my new rig, so I'm certain you can run "any" game.

Phenom II 965 @ 4.16ghz | 6GB DDR3 1800 | 2x 5870's in Crossfire, and a nice Xclio A380PLUS case to keep it all cool on just air. Blows through any and every game @ 1920x1200.

Your PC will run any game, maxed, up to DX10.1, with perfection. Trust me that's very very solid.

  • @HypnoticSuggestion whoooo...

5870 in CF mode...cam imagine it

    TRUE SOLID dude

  • @2601andrew depend other part u use..

but...if combine 955+4890+790GX/FX +1.6GHz ram sure thats powerfull rig

    T_T

  • @ more ram

  • @2601andrew am actually going to buy this righ + the HD 5770 not the 4890

  • @BraveZombie yeah i was looking into the 5770 but im on a budget so the 4890 seemed to be the best option, good job with the 5770 its a powerful card for sure

  • @2601andrew very good

  • @2601andrew no it sucks

  • @Jerrickoh not according to everyone ive spoken to

  • @2601andrew well its the worst computer rig ever. go buy an emachines. theyre the best.

  • @Jerrickoh too late, besides it runs all the games i need perfectly so maybe you need a lesson in system requirements.

  • @2601andrew no way. i got my computer at walmart. and it rocks. i can play games on it like runescape and EVERY flash game. it is the best pc EVER. yours sucks compared to mine. and i only payed 200 for it so HA

  • @Jerrickoh you're kidding right?

  • @2601andrew haha ya. i dnt like runscape and why would i say that i have a sweet machine from walmart on a video review about a graphics card that would never be stock in a pc haha

  • @2601andrew Yes.

  • @2601andrew the processor and GPU is awesome but try upgrading to 4gb ram if possible

  • @2601andrew haha u must b joking , dat rig wud own every game lol

  • @2601andrew its good but the RAM should always be balance for more performance and its advisable...make it 4GB :D

  • @nikkolei Thanks buddy, i'm running 32-bit at the moment so I won't need more than 3 GB RAM. Once I get enough cash for more RAM i'll go up to 64 and make some use of it.

  • @2601andrew well the maximum in 32 bit is 4gb so its okay to use it :D

  • @nikkolei I think it's 3gb but i'm just nitpicking, it's all good.

  • @2601andrew imma buy gts 250 im not sure if its good as HD 4770 D:

  • @nikkolei gts 250 is a kick ass gpu. i was gonna buy it, then i realised i didn't have enough money for it so i opted for the 4890.

  • @2601andrew yeah thats what i saw on the other reviews on the internet thats why im planning to buy it :D

  • @nikkolei Go for it man.

  • @2601andrew The 4890 is actually better than the gts 250. I hope you realize that the gts performs exactly like the 9800 gt. Just go google gpu benchmark and click on the first site which is like passmark benchmark or something.

  • @nikkolei The 4770 actually beats the gts 250 by a little. Just google gpu benchmark and click on the first site which is like passmark benchmark or something. The gts 250 performs exactly like a 9800gt. Just supposely cooler and uses less electricity.

  • @2601andrew hell yeah! :D

  • @2601andrew a veeeeery good one :D

  • @2601andrew thats exactly the same as my rig sept i have a 965 and 4gb instead of 3.

  • @darkelfin593 Nice job, that baby will last years!

  • ATI HD 4890 or HD 5770?

  • sir 4890 is far better than gtx260 216, there isnt a single benchmark on the web that says otherwise...you are totally wrong, and a slighty OC 4890 can compete with gtx280 easyly

  • @DarkS3phiroth17 pwns 275 too

  • @DarkS3phiroth17 GTX280 litle faster

  • gtx 260 core 216 beats a 4890.

  • @chorinicpker, Are you fucking retarded? I think so because most 4890s are comparable to GTX 275s..

  • no they arnt. they can maybe match a gtx 260 core 192.

  • wrong sir wrong...

  • it does.

  • @chorinicpker Rly?

I bet you didnt see the video lol

  • i did.

  • @chorinicpker Then your just plain stupid.

  • i obviously know more then you.which isnt saying much.

  • @chorinicpker Well why would i use my time on writing a effin long message.. give me one reason..

Your a nvidia fanboy... admit it

Oh i know whats coming "And your a ati fanboy" Nope....

the benchmarks in theese videos shows its more powerfull...

other benchmarks and research even videos here on + the comments from loads of people says its stronger..

You sir are just a ignorant narrowminded fanboy Dot

  • im more open the you. but have u took time to rsearch on your ridiculous claim.

  • @chorinicpker I did, i researched alot, at least 10 videos plus ive been on the look for a video card upgrade for my computer...

So ive made ALOT of research...

Your more open than me... No... I think not...

  • nope.

  • @chorinicpker Wow... thats all i got to say about you... Wow

Grow the fuck up... Excuse me but yeah...

  • im getting two of these: 950MHz Core (Factory OC gonna make it hit 1GHz) 4.3GHz Memory (Compared to 3.9GHz) 1GB DDR5 Ram

  • how do you learn to talk that fast?

  • by time i ques thats not his first vid ;)

  • Wich one is better:

    ATi Radeon 4890

    or

    nVidia 260+?

  • 4890 is better (is very similiar in power to 275 gtx)

  • @NoThInG1337rofl radeon 4890 of course.

  • whats with so many companies and the eye logo?

tiger didnt have in their logo before but now they do and nvidia has the eye logo too =/

  • why cant real girl be as cool as the one in the artwork?

  • the 4890´s

  • @Gere93 what about 2 gtx 260's or 2 4890's??

  • i think that 2 4890s would be more powerful

single 4890 is more powerful than single gtx 260

4890 even more powerful than gtx 275

  • more powerful than gtx275 ? not really

  • i've seen some comparison charts

i can't remember where, but they seem to show that 1 radeon 4890 is more powerful than the gtx275

    i could be wrong

  • @csplayer12345 obviosly two 4890s

  • 2 gtx 260's just because more games use sli than crossfire well but i got a single 4890 what is awesome

  • 60-70 percent increase i mor than i thougth

  • cool cheers for the info

  • the pc im looking at has this gfx card in crossfire mode , how much of a difference does it make , thanks

  • depends on the card, scaling wise your looking at 50-60% increase with 2 cards, mabe up to 80% if they are quite recent. it really depends on what cards they are.

but to answer your question, yes. there should be about a 60% increase in performance with 2 over one 4890's.

i have 2 x 4870's and get around that, so you can only do better as they are quite similar cards

  • he talks very very very fast

  • how much watts does it use? pls reply

  • How do you think this card will do in crysis @ 1680x1050 on very high settings with this setup?

    Intel Core i5 750 2,66ghz

    4GB DDR3 @ 1333Mhz

    Intel p55 Chipset motherboard

    Radeon HD 4890

  • @vebaceba very well?

  • yeppppp just overclock that i5 and probably 5fps+ probably running at 30fps

    i run 4890 4gb ddr2 q6600 3.0 everything vhigh at 1920 x 1080 full hd 20-30FPS

  • @vebaceba

It will run great. maybe a little bottleneck from ur i5 but that is nothing to worry about

    and what PSU?

  • will this card work on a pc with 4GB RAM on windows vista 32 bit?? 100% work?? or is goes the graphics card memory down?

  • This card is better than the 5750 and 5770 if you are wondering. Considerably. Just doesn't have DX11 :(

  • yea but the 5770 is more overclockable, but I don't know, I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out which one to get the 5770 or the 4890.

  • @ahmadclk More overclockable seems like a stretch but I've compared lots of cards and the best bang for the buck is either the 4850, 4890, or 5770. So, depending on your needs I would say. I'm going to buy the 4890 personally because I'll be playing at high resolutions and the extra power will help a lot.

  • yea I've been looking at benchmarks for the past 4 hours and I have to say the 4890 = pure ownage. I mean I knew it was good but not thatt good. It actually beats the GTX 285 in some games, and that card is like $200 more expensive. F DX11 and 5770, I'm going to get the 4890.

  • @ahmadclk 4890 is more powerful but the 5770 is new w/ dx 11 its pretty much even

  • @hbkfitz yea and the 4890 memory interface is twice as fast which makes the difference (256 over the 5770's 128 bit)

  • @hbkfitz So lets say i was running counter-strike source maxed out on 1280x1024. And 1 pc had 2 5770's and another hd 2 4890's which one would get the most fps?

  • 4890 the have a 256 bit interface while the 5770 has a 128 bit

  • Can 9800GTX 2 way sli beat this?

  • yea, depending on the game it should,

  • @Feder147

    great thx

  • for enthusiasts, WHY ARE YOU WATCHING THIS VIDEO? 5800 series is FTW. I highly reccomend the 5850 and 5770.

  • @BLOODsweatandTECH Uhmmm because thats a waste of money? because 90% of our games are still on DX9 ? DX10 was a fail and itll be at least 2 more years until DX11 actually becomes standard? .......

  • DX11 isnt the only thing the new 5800 series has to offer. They have doubled the clock speeds of the previous genration, which is why the 5850 kicks the GTX 285's ass in almost all areas of benchmarking.

  • Which would be the best graphic card for playing blu ray movies with HDMI input...Thanks...

  • Really any of the 4800 series. Right now the HD 4870's are way down in price, you can pick one up for $120. I'd say go with the HD 4870.

  • @crissglitch666 :Thanks for the reply appreciate...

  • i fucking ordered this card on BLACK FRIDAY...

    ITS DECEMBER 16 NOW!!!

its been fucking back ordered this whole time...

  • alright im not sure what i should get...

    this for 199.99 or a sparkle 9800 GTX+ for 139.99..

the 4890 has about 100 mhz of core clock more but im not really sure what that means..

  • i am deciding the same thing. i just got a 9800GT from best buy and was gonna take it back for the GTX+. but then i thought i should look at ati one last time. the 4870 is better then the 9800gtx+. this is the 4890, and its even FASTER!! im goin with this card i hope i dont bottleneck my Pentium D 3.4

  • Yeah. The 4890 allso has 800 Steam prosessors. Its a much faster card then the 9800GTX If u want to combine a Nvidia then you should combine the 260GTX and 4890 and even there the 4890 is lil faster

  • is this card faster than 1 gtx 285 factory clocked?

  • @tklu84 No, But you can easily overclocked it to that

  • is this better than gtx 260 oc or gtx 275?

  • yes. :)

  • there basicly the same

  • its better then the gta 260, but im not sure if its better then the gtx 275

  • It's way better than the GTX 260, is a bit better than the GTX 275.

  • Do you have to use a power supply with this card or can you also play without the 6 pin pci express power supply in?

  • Recommended power supply wattage??

  • hello i my current sysytem is :

    pentium 4 ht 3.2ghz

    1gb ram

    gigabyte ga-8i915pl

gigabyte geforce 6200 turbocache (pci express 16x)

    hdd westerdigital 160gb

and i was wondering if i can install this graphics card into my system or not.....if i cant which graphics card would you reccoment me for my system...thank you

  • The processor and memory will bottleneck the card. Your powersupply probably isn't good enough. The motherboard might work with it, but the newest video cards use pci express 2.0. I don't know what card to suggest to you.

  • not a great gaming computer i would recommend at least a dual core for gaming

  • yes i know i'm going to fix a more powerful pc in about 5-6 months i just want a temporary solution for know:)...btw i;ve seen similar systems work quite well with cards like th hd 4850 , HD 4780,the gt220,gt250,the 9800gt....

  • You have to look or it is compitable with your psu (power supply)
