Ramakrisna had no upper and lower caste ideas. I hope all the persons from India who live in America give up these ideas of caste when they come to America. I and one of my non indian neighbors have had two very saddening experiences which we think have their basis in the pride which is derived from India's caste system being played out here where such ideas of inequality are rare. I hope these ideas are given up, knowing that Ramakrisna gave them up more than 130 years ago.
