Why does my NTBACKUP look totally different? It doesn't even show me the option for system state data. I'm running 03 Server so what gives? I'd like to get our active directory and DNS information backed up..

@mindbombcor @author: Nevermind, I was able to get it done. I had to uncheck the wizzard box, then start the utility again. It showed the advanced GUI this time and gave me the option to back up the system state data. Good video. Thanks!

Hi, my Active DIrectory and dns server broke, i back up the configuration 1 week earlier, how i restore this data, many permissions were given and i can't remember all. Thanks

@diomaidendays to restore your data, just click on start, click on run, type ntbackup and click on restore wizard. Thats it!

Assuming your server crashes, what is the procedure to restore it using this back up?

Do I burn it as a bootable image dvd, or is it a file you import once Active Directory ir DNS is reinstalled?
