  • Ed Norton is superb in this film....but the score by Philip Glass is a phenomenal piece of work as well.

  • Thanks so much for posting this video. 5 stars! (wish Google would stop popping up the ads & ruining the vids though).

  • ahh, Jessica Biel~ the actress who thinks the reason she isn't offered acting parts is because she's too beautiful. what?

  • I don't typically pay close attention the the musical score, but this was one of the best movie music scores I've ever heard! Hopefully the composer was recognized or awarded for his/her work on this film.

  • yeah.. Philip Glass did the score.. he is incredible. you should check out his other work. :)

  • I totally agree!!!

  • Intellegent. This film inspired me to make a portrait of Edward Norton as Eisenheim (may see it on my channel)

  • Edward Norton is absolutely amazing in this film.

  • @Mannom41

Edward Norton is absolutely amazing in every film.

  • was it just me or do ed norton / jessica biel have zero chemistry? i never really felt like rooting for them and thats just weird because i adore ed norton.

  • i disagree...i think they have excellent chemistry...it felt like a true story.

  • I must say excellent movie.

  • this left my mouth open.

  • is the guy had perform at the Italian job movie?

  • yep

  • thanks

  • I absolutely love this film, I must admit that the trailer gave me a very different idea of what the film would be like because of it's (the trailer's) darker mood, whereas the film was a light fairy story. It has a plot that seems simplistic but is actually very clever: It has had all excessive talk removed and what's left dialogue-wise is crisp and strong, the way it all builds up to what the Police Inspector finds out in the end is wonderful (Although I won't give it away ;-)

  • Rufuuuuus!

  • One of my favorite movies just had my mother watch it and she really enjoyed it as well.

Edward Norton and Paul Giamatti were especially great!

  • Cool film, this.

  • i loved this movie, i saw it last night it was amazing!

  • yes it was really amazing the end shocked me , can u confirm me if i had understand it in the right way because i was really shocked ,,,eisenheim and sophie have organized all that(her killing) to be together.. she never dies and they live together at the end???only the prince killed himself and the inspector loses his work, thats it???thnx for answering!!

  • yea, thats about it, i had to watch it twice to understand the movie completly

  • yes me too... i just downloaded it!!!!its e great movie!!!and edwart norton is very talented!one of the best actors nowadays!!!

  • thnx for the spoiler :p

  • No darling, the inspector doesn't lose his job, he gets a promotion from the emperor! Look at how much better he's dressed at the end.

  • SPOILER: wait so the prince never committed a crime then?

  • Spoiler

Nope, it was all a set up for her to run away. He did threaten her but he was drugged when that happened.

  • Spoiler

Because of this, it makes you sort of pity the prince. Indeed he did conspire to overthrow the emperor, but aside from that his fate was completely decided upon the jealousy of one illusionist.

  • I never really thought about it that way!

I guess he did die because of jealousy...wow, thanks for pointing that out =]

  • well he was a violent drunk, who basically admitted to killing a woman in the past... so hes not exactly a nice guy, and he would have killed Eisenheim and Sophie just for being in love, so hes still pretty bad

  • technically, the crime of murdering Sophie he never committed. Sure, u can say he's innocent of that one. But remember that in his last scene with Uhl the prince told him that he could get away with the charge of murder. That's when Uhl told him that although that may be so, he's still guilty of conspiring against the emperor. Now, although the coup was never realized, just planning such a crime was already high treason. The emperor's guards had come for that. So, he's not an innocent prince.

  • indeed. its kinda funny how his actual crime was punished as a result of a crime he didnt commit...(forgive the bad sentence structure...im quite tired).

  • I might add, the prince also killed a woman before. He pushed her off the window but was able to get away with it.

  • Rufus Seawell rocks as a bad guy. I loved it.

  • i liked this movie although i hate magic stuff

  • Its a really nice movie...

  • that movie is terrific

  • i really enjoyed it!

  • goodone
