You know, these guys are good. I heard Milt Jackson several times, and he would of dug these guys. The bassist holds his own too. Really nice selection too. Imagine, they are even better today.
One of the beautiful things about Silver's tunes is that they can sound just as good 'slimmed down' as they do when played by a large ensemble. Very well done-especilly dug that vamp on the ending. Try his "African Queen" or "Mexican Hip Dance" if you haven't already. They would sound great with a hip arrangement for your instrumentation. All the best from NYC!
sick! Great time. I'm really getting into the vibes these days and it's really sweet to see that the discipline still lives. Pretty damn heroic to see guys excelling in such an obscure instrument. Keep it up Jacob. And solid bass playing too!.
The name is Close Enough, we also play as a quartet (plus drums - Mikkel Find, and sax - Christian Leile) when we are called Svensson Leile Quartet. Thanks for the support!
WOW...First I know this song VIA Cal Tjaders Latin Concert Live at the Blackhawk, and to hear you do it makes me smile. Wow GJ mate, I KNOW ur familiar with cal as you have some of his finesse. Great job!
