@Fixyourpet So we can have a world of nothing but accidental, ill bred mongrels? No thanks, I think there is a place for the purebred. Why put irresponsible and uncontentious pet owners in charge of creating 100% of the dog population? That's the consequence of meddlers like you persecuting people breeding beautiful, time honored breeds that people want to own. I say that having picked up plenty of mutts off the street and either keeping them or finding them homes. I've got both.
@Fixyourpet oh will you shut up. People that want to buy pure bred dogs from reputable breeders should be commended. Its certainly not a breeders or buyers fault about over population, go take your whining elsewhere you fucking loser
They are merles, mantles and harlequins. They are all products of a harlequin breeding. You can see more by finding us at Vulpine Great Danes dot Com.
Their mom was a harlequin and their dad was a mantle. It was a color pure breeding, meaning using the right color family and all the colors and typical to be produced in a harlequin color family breeding. This has still been our biggest litter to date. Our second largest was 12. We currently have puppies available at Vulpine Great Danes. Google Us!

That is a common misconception. Danes do not all have hip dysplasia. Many Danes are x-rayed and OFA hip certified normal and their puppies should not end up with hip dysplasia for the most part. It is a common problem with Danes though. There are supplements available for these cases as well that can help if your Dane does has hip dysplasia.
i have one he is huge i hear they only live like 7-9 years he has lived for 13 he is my buddie :) they are more nice then mean they are good family dogs because they look protective but they are playful and nice :)
I've just sold the last of my 12 great Dane pups at 1200 apeice but I tell you the trouble we had wasn't worth the money. The mess was unreal and noise well different story please don't breed thinking there's money involved we've spent about a quarter on vets bills and the trouble wasn't worth it at all
This is definately true! If you are going to breed at all make sure there is a better purpose behind it than MONEY... you do not make money at all! Goes back into the dogs themselves :)
Absolutely adorable litter. I think Great Danes are awesome dogs & it is only fair to the breed to educate before owning. It is not easy breeding dogs and no litter is presented as "cash cows", as it is an insult to a reputable breeder. I used to breed and it was all about the dogs first. I didn't even sell certain dogs although they were all AKC reg. & vet checked if they had faults. Your pups are so cute!!
@KinobiKinobi I have yet to own my first great dane. But I have been doing so much research and look forward to it. I agree with you. I will only get my Dane from a rescue because so many people unfortunately dont breed properly. or a reputable breeder. Its a huge responsibility to breed and I love when people such as yourself take it seriously.
@kramnrublaw It is very expensive to raise Dane puppies correctly. Especially with such a large litter. We were lucky to have healthy puppies and healthy parents. They are not "cash cows" and were not bred to make money.
@didleedidlee2 There not pups any more... most are over 4 feet tall by now. But if you do get a Great Dane that is a pure bred then be careful. Mine just recently passed at only 4 years old because he stomach twited from either eatig too fast or eating somethhing wrong. They are very vulnerable organ problems but the experience is all worth it! (I miss Hoss- my Dane)
deep chested dogs (great danes, weimaraner, etc) have a high chance of dying in this fashion. it's called bloat. and yes, that's exactly what happens. their stomach turns over. i hope it never happens to my weim =[
@cuddlep00p@jonjon1219@cuddlep00p You're right. Many of the puppies in this litter weigh over 160lbs now. Bloat is something the breed is prone to, so the best thing to do is to have your vet "tack" their stomach, or secure it in place when you have your Dane spayed or neutered. This will keep the stomach from twisting which will prevent bloat.
I laughed at this, not only did the breeders do the same thing that I do with dane puppies, (put them in a small pool full of newspaper) but they used the exact same pool and had the same amount of puppies as the last litter my dog had.
i LOVE great danes. i cant express the amount of love they have for their owners. you wont know til you have one. best dog to own!! mine is like my son. goes with me everywhere!!! :) <3
What beautiful little babies they are. Their little barks are just precious. I am a lover of great danes because I have owned a few and find them to be the most intelligent dogs. They are a gift to own and I wouldn't trade them for anything.
You must have at least 16 cute dogs. Wow, your so lucky, but very busy I guess.. they are really wonderful, I stubbled across these cutie's, and they made my day. Thanks for posting, if, you have time to look at this, that is. LOL .

I have seen dane pups sold for $100. How much did yours rake in? Seeing as they aren't "cash cows" i'm sure it was a similar amount.
kramnrublaw 1 year ago
How much did these guys bring in? At least 7k would be my guess. Danes are 4 legged money machines.
