  • This is for keeping the freewaytraffic out of the city area's or villages where the people live.

Their are a lot of freeways along places where people drive off the freeway when there is trafficjam. But some stuppids don't have eyes and don,t wait and like to have the car repaired!

  • 0:55 wow he got air lol

  • The last car pulled the fucking bollard out of the ground!

  • What the hell was that falling off the last car. Awsome video btw lol. Also makes me laugh seeing idiots try to get over these when they should be waiting.

  • I LOVE these things!!! Wish we had them in Canada! You run red light - you smash own car not kill other people! I tell ya... having these all over the place would make more people pay attention thats for sure! lol

  • Now that's what I call a carjacking.

  • Cool thing: The traffic light goes on 'needs-repair' mode after the bollard broke. I love my country :D

  • oh bollocks!

  • They should have a boomgate too. The driver behind does not have xray vision, how do they know why the light was on and what they should do.

they may think its the national freeway, how do they know. My cousin stopped for a red light, but it turned out they were just testing the red light... and the car behind hit her.. the car behind knew they were just testing the light !

  • @isilder If a light is read, stop for it. That's the EXACT reason you stop for them. You may have no clue why it is red. In this case, I only wish the bollards raised a little sooner.

  • @isilder And they should offer a new car to the victim plus free gas for life :)

  • @isilder Your cousin did the right thing, The guy that hit her was in the wrong and should have been paying attention..

You cannot ASSUME that everyone knew that the lights were being tested,

If the light is red.. STOP.. If the light is flashing red, treat it like a STOP sign.

  • did you notice that this happens only on one side?

  • Awesome wheelie at the end.

  • Excellent video. People who pay have a right to use them then other drivers try to go thru and don't even see these bollards rise. Are they blind. Then BAM . Owned

  • I knew a woman who tried that in Coventry in the early 90's. Wrote her car off.

  • We need a set of these in my neighborhood, people keep destroying the gate

  • If that system were to be implemented in Kuala Lumpur, i bet many cars are gonna be wrecked!

  • WHO INVENTED THEM!!!!

  • no cuts !!!! and they STAY up too, excellent !

  • They don't stay on green for long do they!

  • Being i drive an SUV that sits high i would just go right over that with no problem.

  • @001looker dont think so

  • That last one, FANTASTIC!!!

  • that third dude left his nuts on that bollard!

  • Can you imagine the sound that last car made? Ouch.

  • Yellow means "prepare to stop", not "slow down". If you see a yellow light, and can safely stop (eg, you're at a sufficient speed/distance), you must stop at it, just like a red. Unfortunately, most people ignore yellow lights, and just blow through until the light actually turns red.

  • @theguyisinthailand

Its just enforcing traffic laws that are already there, if you obeyed them in the first place there'd be no problem. Green means go, red means stop, yellow means slow the fuck down or get your car fucked up by a bollard.

  • @theguyisinthailand

A light just means the same people who try to dodge bollards would just get a load of tickets or no punishment instead. The physical repercussions of going fast in that zone would still occur. Its better to just wreck one irresponsible person's car than risk other people getting involved in the accidents.

  • @Bottery

a city makes a law and has police put a boot on any parked car without a sign that reads-I LOVE GOD-a law that the whole city is behind and supports.

as a man is driving through that town, he stops to eat and walks around to shop for an hour.

upon returning to his car, a lock boot is on it,a ticket says it will not be removed until a sign is in the front window stating-I LOVE GOD.

a rule about burning the cars was rejected because it might be bad for tourism.

    how far should gov't go???

  • @theguyisinthailand

I don't see what that has to do with what is simply augmenting a regular street light with a physical barrier. The traffic law of obeying lights already exists. They're just enforcing them physically now so if you're obeying the law in the first place there should be no problem. If you're going to be barreling around in a 1-1.5 ton vehicle on public streets, you have to obey driving laws.

You live in Thailand? I think in the Netherlands they have religious freedom.

  • @theguyisinthailand

The time to stop at a light is just the time it takes to come to a complete stop. 3-10 seconds depending on your initial speed. Even in the video you just watched the bollard only stops you for around 4 secs. If you can't handle not moving for 4 secs you probably aren't mature enough to drive in the first place.

10-12 year olds shouldn't be driving on motorbikes they aren't even tall enough to handle it properly. Are you saying that's a good thing?

  • Comment removed

  • @theguyisinthailand

The USA and Britain are far from police states. The reason why there are laws is because something has happened that make the laws needed. Laws don't keep people from having freedom they keep people from being idiots.

You think it's freedom for 10 year old kids to drive motorbikes, but I'd rather not kill a 10 year old kid in an automobile accident because he panicked when he got into traffic.

  • @Bottery tell me why im not allowed to buy a gun

  • @chunkyfecalbreakfast

I don't know about firearm laws in the UK, I'd suggest you look it up yourself.

  • @Bottery I know them already, my question was not anything to do with the firearms act (as ammended) 1997, I want to know why I can't own a gun if the UK isnt a police state.

  • @chunkyfecalbreakfast

If the UK was a police state, you wouldn't be allowed to even complain about the laws.

  • @Bottery The law is being changed so that people like Brian Haw aren't allowed to protest outside parliament. Its a steady slide down a slippery slope, I am only 29 years old but I have seen many freedoms removed even in my short existance.

  • @chunkyfecalbreakfast I realize that my name isn't that amazing either, but how do you expect to be taken even remotely seriously with a name like "chunkyfecalbreakfast"?

  • What's in a name Megadude? I'd be more concerned about people dredging up 4 month old posts...

  • @chunkyfecalbreakfast Yup, dredged up. All the way from the vast depths of page 1.

  • @IVIegadude The age of the post was the reference I made, not the page on which is was once shown. PS) This is the internet, is anything here to be taken seriously?

  • @Bottery

-the law says a stop light is like a stop sign in the US.

-once stopped, a car can go through if the road is clear and giving up the right of way.

-you sound as if you follow laws not at how its written and what they say, but like a little kid asking the

teacher to go to the restroom.

-IF THE TEACHER SAYS NO! YOU WOULD PISS YOUR PANTS RATHER THEN DISOBEY.

-A US Marine would piss his pants if not allowed to use the pisser, but anyone else has no balls.

    THAILAND = FREELAND

  • @theguyisinthailand

If Thailand is free then why are you complaining about enforced religion and government laws that suppress individual rights in a completely unrelated video? The law is that you have to stop completely at a stop light. You can see that the people who get into bollard accidents do not give a shit about even stopping at the light. You don't have to follow the law, but you have to be an idiot to drive right into a barrier as attempt to "fight the system". Go wreck your car.

  • If I were riding my bike I would have blown the fucking light and used that little shit of a bollard as a ramp. Fuck the system!

  • @Degr8n8

If you could use it as a ramp you'd be going against traffic anyways lol.

  • i laugh my ass off when that happens to me xD

  • What an idiot, the car wasn't closer enough and fast enough to get throuh.

You've got to rev it up and also break hard as soon as you do this manveuver to avoid an accident with the car ahead.

This type of thing should be taught in the driving school

  • In the US, "boobytraps" are illegal

  • @archon808 what about red light cameras...? isnt that a sort of "booby tap"? 1st offense in california $480.00 WTF?!? i got a ticket about a month ago, then at the same light it tuned yellow then red right away i stopped very quickly and then was rear ended, now my car is totalled, my back is sore. how is this any different?

  • @smellmyfartgas Ya your right. Im not sure why i thought it was a booby trap. Its simply a gate that works.

  • Good point, if it cant stop a motorcycle, whats the point? Its obviously going to end in a accident.

  • only a fascist government would do that to its citizens

  • @MetaView7 Huh? What are you talking about?

  • that last one was the best i've ever seen *****

  • with a bike you wouldn't have that problem ;)

  • Where is this exactly? Thanks.

  • I take it the last one ripped the bollard out, just another way to control us.

  • @eagle55566 Im OK with these. Many people had actually died on that road because of speeders. These bollards are there to make each car wait and therefore they stop people from speeding down the road and potentially causing an accident.

  • what the fucking point in having traffic lights and bollards on a straight road with no intersections or crossings.

  • @TheJimbo4123

    speeding, it's a suburban area I assume.

  • @TheJimbo4123 but why else but to ensure they stop? lol we have these out here and they use the term "traffic calming area"

  • @TheJimbo4123 It's always before a town. They do this to limit the speeding.

  • Maybe we should introduce bollards here in the States. It makes me feel so good to see jerk-offs getting their just desserts.

  • Are these toll bollards or are these just thick as shit people who can't grasp the concept of traffic control?

  • what happens if there colourblind

  • bollards having a great day

  • the blinking light means you REALLY pissed it off

  • great to see the last guy.Hope his car was fuckin destroyed.red lights mean stop for everybody asshole.....

  • a bit harsh???

every idiot knows he has to stop for a red light.

if you don't, it's your own fault.

these idiots should not even have a drivers license.

  • @dhgrazer dangerous and not necessary

  • what a stupid invetion!

  • He deserved it!

  • 7 people got caught out by those bollards.

  • Those things should be banned

  • @Area51UFOGynaecology Why? Because you were stupid enough to get caught by them?

  • @billmo23 Because people are stupid enough to get killed by them

  • @Area51UFOGynaecology Sounds to me, these bollards did them a favor then.

  • @Area51UFOGynaecology

then you should have stopped for the red light

if you die because of this blockers, it's your own stupid fault.

and your headstone should say....DUMB FUCK LYING HERE

  • @dhgrazer Oh shit, didnt notice the red light there.

But bollards are a bit harsh i think. Thats what the governments here in scandinavia agree with. Thats why we use gates instead. Ive never actually seen a bollard lol

  • Yeah. crossing red lights should give instant consequences like these EVERY time man. not a "chance" to probably getting cought ...

  • The best is: There is absolutely no excuse for the accidents. They ran the red light just to save money or time :-P

  • At least one of them made it.

  • So, is this mechanism designed only for the spacing of traffic or is there a toll being taken as well?

  • @Brandtalones

It's designed to teach punks who run red lights a very expensive lesson.

  • een gepaste straf voor die door rood rijders. enne dat de verzekering maar niet moge uitbetalen

  • Zwenth??

  • ooof a proper kick in the bollards

  • that fucker needs a disk cutter puttin through it

  • ha if that happened to me id b straight bk there with the oxy torch an throw that fuckin thing in the hedge

  • The last one are the dukes of hazzard. YEEHAA.

  • the last ones are the dukes of hazzard. YEEHAAA.

  • wth was left behind after the last one

  • the bollard broke

  • Installing this at every intersection and the species of red-light-runners would abruptly die out

  • Damnnnnn that was one big wheelie!

  • I'm a little confused as to why these ones are in this configuration at this particular location. Is it an access road to a marina or residential area?

  • Why dont people see the clear trafficlights!! if they crashed into one or our blockers, i doubt they would ever want to drive again! have a look in my vids for the crash tests

  • Hey you Bollardrunners! you like ruining your cars from the bottomside don't you ? Have too much money in the pockets so repair bills won't really matter ? Or have you booked a servicing and repair flatrate?

  • I could imagine just how popular those moving bollards would be in the United States at those freeway onramps that have the red/green traffic signals that allow two cars at a time to get on the freeway to avoid. Man, drivers would be pissed off beyond belief!

  • PMSL

  • Why do people try and outrun them? Why are they even necessary? It must stall traffic to a standstill.

  • woman drivers

  • WHEEE!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't get it. What are the bollards for? It seems there are more of them in Manchester in UK. we don't have any here. Why is this one needed in this place together with traffic lights?

  • @skp115 it for streets that are for pedestian access only, except for public transport and business deliveries. They are to keep the riffraff out

  • wtf is that white thing that sits in the road after the 0:57 crash?

  • @cjellwood I believe that that is the bollard. You can see the hole where it used to be. ??? Maybe?

  • In that last one, the guy ripped the post completely out of the socket! lol

  • hehehe they made these bollards in Serbia..the first night after they put it Serbs digged it out and sold..hehehe..they did again that, and again after three days they were gone..now the goverment quit with that..hehehe..you should try same thing... by the way the iron can be sold for a good money..

  • @apolonos1703 gypsies hehe serb gypsies hehehe

  • You shall not pass!!!

  • i sware i left my bollard right hear shit

  • hahaha last one so funny

  • Anyone that clearly jumps a RED light, Deserves to have their licence revolked as well as their vehicle crushed, and if its not their vehicle, then get the owner to be there and watch it being crushed

  • stupid, he should be closer

  • dude, I do not approve of anything that can and will destroy your car either because of a mistake, or just trying to save yourself a few seconds.... Too Harsh of Punishment

  • yuooooojoojojjojoojojojoj

  • haha he ripped it out! =)

  • haha! van jump from bollard! lol

  • Comment removed

  • i punisment for thoughtlessness and stupidity was possible serious injury or death?

  • @terryjosie Yes, as always. What's the punishment for jumping off a cliff? Let me know when you find out.

  • when you land it is not a pre-planed act by an-other

  • Tall buildings are pre-planned acts by another, try jumping off one of them.

Point being you'd have to be driving way too fast to be injured by these things, not to mention you'd have to ignore the warnings and run a red light in this case. If the drivers don't follow directions they are responsible for whatever "punishment" that the laws of physics bestow on them.

  • if every bit of thoughtless or bad driving wes punished with violence there would not be many drivers could be a good thing as the numbers of deaths and injuries on and by cers is ignored and the biggest risk most people face in most countries however governments have a duty not to harm their own people drivers {humans} are thoughtless. distracted and take risks

  • @terryjosie It's not punishment, it's physical restriction. It saves pedestrians from drivers driving vehicles blindly into places where people walk, cycle, or are loaded and unloaded from buses. If drivers are too bad at driving to see the physical barrier that they're running into they should be prevented by any means necessary from continuing. Many people's lives are more important than one idiot's undercarriage and the government thankfully recognizes this.

  • if they were any good they would have been adopted widely. Obviousely they do not efficently stop cars to protect a pedestrian on the crossing {which they are not designed for there is a junction the other side of the lights and they change so quickly as they are designed to filter traffic one car at a time into the junction nothing to do with pedestrians} and anything much bigger will definately not be stoped I have driven in Holland on and off for 8 years and only seen this one

  • No, that system in the video isn't very good. The cylindrical bollards are much better; easier to see and will only damage the bumper of a car if you run into it unless it's still coming up from beneath. But it's the same concept, which is a sound one that will be adopted widely unless people become better drivers.

  • that is why the cil. boll. are being widely addopted and not these

  • and as the engine is at the front and low it is going to destroy the bottem half of the engine again is the punishment for careless driving loss of car for a week and a couple of thousand Euro's

  • The last one !!........LOL !!!!

  • most stupid sistem i ever saw

  • They all deserved it. There's a god damn traffic light there for god's sake. Where did they learn to drive? Green means Go, Yellow means speed up, and Red means Full speed ahead? Dumb drivers.

  • @Str4t0sPh3rE Yellow means Slow down... where did you learn to drive

  • @XxAtomic646xX Those signals I gave was what I assume dumb drivers like the one you saw in this video think those colors represent.

  • That last one's mental!

Honestly, some people have no common sense whatsoever.

  • RIP poor bollard 357123ax. You served your nation valiantly

    next bollard please!

  • And there i was thinking only us brits are mad and take risks lol

  • That last one was excellent

"Oy, mate, the bollard's coming back up!"

"Just floor it, we can make it!"

    "OH SH--" *airborne*

  • Dupne xD 5/5

  • wow, that bollard got owned

  • damn right it did. it deserved it.

  • What is on the road after the last crash ??? :O

  • It's actually the triangular bollard. The car ripped it out of the ground, so notice the hole where it once was.

  • Yes, U are true! Thanks ;)!

  • the bollard!! hahahaha

  • some noobs never, just never learn.

  • why is this bollard here though? is it a toll road? is it a pedestrian crossing? and entrance to some facility? it looks like it doesn't really serve a purpose

  • Later in the vid, when some of the branches have been cut away, you can see how the road appears to narrow to a single lane at the top of the screen. This bollard appears to be controlling a section of single lane road that uses alternating bi-directional traffic. Maybe this road is atop a dike & there's something preventing them from making it a full fledged two-lane bi-directional road, making the bollard the only practical solution in this situation.

  • lol thats funny

  • The last one was hilarious, i feel sorry for the car

  • haha

  • Dropped his tranny bwahahaha

  • lol when the car crashes the yellow light blinks to show that the bollard has scored another point.

  • @DMtactical hahah

    idiots - 0

    bollard - 3

  • how dumb have u gotta be to do that

  • work on the roads.. mate youll see every dumb fuck on the roads.. it still suprises me what i see.. and Ive been a traffic controller fo two years!

  • Holy crap the last one ripped it right out... how many points for that?

  • 0. He died.

  • that's an excellent system, absolutely brilliant.

  • What part of "red means stop" don't these morons understand?

  • maybe "means"

  • not unfamiliar, just uncommon. I've seen them around on college campuses and such... reminiscent of the spikes that only get those going the wrong way.

  • Kia, they're for reducing traffic; only let through the residents and buses, using a special sensor in the car, so European towns and cities aren't clogged up with cars. This means people can then walk and cycle in safety. If you're in America, this concept will be unfamiliar
