I was there that day in 1992, and it still goes down as the most amazing concert I have ever seen. And it was free! Vedder was amazing. I don't think enough credit was given to the music committee that year for Day on the Hill. To get Pearl Jam to play at KU was the biggest coup ever! jinxdogg, I'm sure you're exactly right...Pearl Jam never was paid a smaller fee than that from then on.

@gerryfey - I was there too. It was one hell of a concert but you have to remember that this is just before (a month or two?) Pearl Jam took off on MTV - it wasn't that much of a stretch for the day on the hill people to get great shows together back then. Does 'Day on the Hill' even exist anymore? I think there were over 25,000 people at this one in '92 if I remember right.

Eddie is such a monkey!!! I love this. An early PJ video they sound great, and it must be before they were really well known, seeing the cars driving by in the background and cars parked in the background, you would never ever see them do that today. Looks like the stage is set up in part of a parking lot, or next to a street. Thanks for posting this kick ass video!!! Love to Pearl Jam and All the Pearl Jam lovers in the world!!! Saw them three times in '92, and was scared for Ed's life. Remember reading reviews of shows, and about Porch in specific. I worried that Ed was gonna die, but I'm not even sure he injured himself with all the crazy stunts! Amazing.
