That can't be right, i get well over 6 hours battery on mine. I know what you mean about the viewing angle, I guess thats the trade off with having that transreflective screen. It's amazing being able to sit out in the sun and still see the screen!!

I purchased one with 160 Gb HD and 2 GB memory with optical drive. The screen is atrocious - with a very narrow viewing angles and lots of light leakage around the edges so the image is faded. You cannot watch a video on it - especially in dark conditions because of the uneven lighting. The keyboard is the nosiest I have ever heard and bends with each key stroke with a very poor feed back. It takes 5 mins to boot up and will not properly shut down and the battery lasts about 40 mins.

this video is supposed to address concerns about it being too easy to bend (since the laptop doesn't have the structural force people are normally used to in laptops).

And for others it provides information on the robustness of the laptop in spite of it's small size.

This product was around last summer, so a long time before Apple. Also the one I bought has 160gb hard disk, a DVD writer built in and a load of different connections. Much better than the Apple.

Yes I would agree I have an iMac with Tiger and a Macbook with leopard and they both work great. Overall though, in my mind, a better operating is better than a flexible computer

I use both apple and windows laptops... I'd say this Toshiba is WAY better than the Air in many respects. The only thing the Air has that this doesn't is the full-powered, small Core 2 Duo chip.
