  • Rofl "SOUND"! Uh we don't have sound "Oh.... AAAAAAND ACTION"!!!

  • "Hey throw me that veeskee"! Greatest line in the whole movie.

  • If you watch the actual Wood film "Bride of the Monster," it's Bela's stunt double in the octopus scene.

  • This is Depp's best film performance!

  • "You know I turned down Frankenstein."

  • I've seen enough Hentai to know where this is going.

  • love this flick....JD is great

  • lmfao

  • "fuck you!!,you come out here"

    LMFAO

  • first video with no dislikes, EPIC!!

  • Shake his legs around...looks like he's killin ya LOL LOL LOL!!!!!!!!!! This movie is a classic!

  • This movie ruined Spider-Man the animated series for me.

  • FUCK YOU

  • that's a funny part when he says "Fuck you! You come out here!" :D xD omg this is priceless!

  • "Goddamn, it cold!!!"

"It'll warm up once you're in it."

"Fuck you!! You come out here!!!" XD

  • I couldn't stop laughing during this scene, it was just so hilariously pathetic.

  • Martin Laundau is good but this whole movie does wrong by Bela Lugosi

  • When i first saw this scene, i felt really sad, i don´t know why.

  • @PezunaProducciones ever hear of bipolar disorder? I am not kidding.

  • @anandodasgupta NAh, i think is sad to see an old guy trying to do his best in some shit like this. Its just... i doný know... grotesque, moving, and sad.

  • @PezunaProducciones I did 2. I think it was cuz of poor Lugosi

  • Horror novel see video book trailer

  • To Ed Wood, the first take is always perfect. :)

  • This is the best thing I have ever and will ever have seen.

  • The real Lugosi didn't actually "fight the octopus"---it was his double,a larger man in visible platform shoes, because in "Bride Of The Monster",Lugosi's character is exposed to his own machine, designed to increase people in size.

    Still a great flick---one of Burton's best.

  • he didnt curse like that he never did

  • @jsimone1320

No, but I think Bela would have cursed most magnificently.

  • @repn87 I also think that Bride Of The Monster is

  • Zero Dislikes, Damn! I can't make a joke about it!

  • Nothing but top notch SE and production when Ed Wood was involved. Just have Bela shake the octopus' legs around so it looks like he's killing him, because when they stole the octopus, they forgot to steal the motor that made the legs move. LOL Or give Bela boots with ridiculously obvious high heels so he looks like an "atomic superman".

Need flying saucers over Hollywood? Just get some guys to dangle hubcaps on strings over a fake model of Hollywood.

But "Ed Wood" is a great flick.

  • My favorite movie, ever. It has everything.

"Shoot whatever bullshit you want, just make sure it's five reels long."

  • I think this is really Tim Burton's best film, next to MARS ATTACKS! (1996),his two Batman films, and PEE WEE'S BIG ADVENTURE.He captured Ed Wood, perfectly.Especially with the making of the film and all the stock footage.

  • "We have to match it to the stock footage of the octopus underwater." LMAO that is SO Ed Wood. Stock footage everywhere xD

  • Its amazing how both funny & emotional this movie can get

  • Throw me dat visky!

  • @dkupke hahaha gotta love that accent

  • "that was perfect!"

  • To think that a movie inspired on this über loser (Ed Wood) would become one of the best movies of the 90´s :)

Thank you Mr Burton an Mr Depp!

  • what film was the octopus supposed to be in?

  • @TOHOFIEND54 "Bride of the Monster". :)

  • Martin Landau is a giant.

  • lol love this film,an all the characters

  • There's a story that Ed and his crew stole the octopus from the studio, but they forgot to steal the motor that ran the octopus

  • @snakes3425 Not only that, but it was a makeshift pond. In the middle of the night, the Wood crew went onto a golf course and sandbagged a tiny pond and filled it up with more water from the groundskeeper's hoses. After they were done, they removed the sandbags and all the excess water accidently flooded down onto the fairway of the 4th hole, thus making it unplayable the following day. Nobody who worked at the course knew how it happened. Classic! Lugosi is mesmerizing under ANY circumstance.

  • One of the greatest movies that I always come back to when im feeling down.It proves that the true stories are the best.

  • I love the two guys in the background who are like wtf he's gonna have make the octopus move himself

  • This is my favorite scene from the movie. "Fuck you, you come out here!"

  • "Bela, I have 25 scenes to shoot tonight"

    Hilarious :D

  • Classic scene

  • this scene is damn good! " lets shoot this fucker ! " lol ! so classic !

  • Throw me that "viskey"I love this scene....Bela Lugosi was 1st class in my book. And in this scene when depp says we have no sound but Bela is screaming the whole time."Im doing morphine with a demerol chaser"R.I.P Bela you were one of a kind.

  • @TheRalphus666 don't you get it, bela lugosi has returned, just in the form of martin landau :D

  • Tim Burton's 'Ed Wood' is one of the 'fucking' greatest films of all time, great movie.

    "Lets shoot this fucker!".

"It'll warm up once your in it".

"Fuck you, you come in here!".

    Great scene aswell.

  • @MovieMan9991 Lol, yeah, great movie, very underated. Which is unfair for it, 'cause its so good.

  • that was perfect

  • ... that was perfect... :D

  • I think this scene is in the "Bride of the Monster"

  • "Ah rigt, let's shoot this fooker!":D

  • -Sound !

    -We don't have sound...

    -Oh... and action!

    Perfect.

  • Anyone have a link to the original filming of Bela and the octopus if it exist?

  • Great movie. Both the actual film and Ed Wood.

    Landau kills

  • fave, fave, fave!

  • Bela lugosi really is a badass in this movie!

  • My favorite movie ever!

  • My favourite movie ever! :)

  • I really wish Ed Wood got more Oscar recognition.

  • I heard he was Count Drunkula.

  • @Johnnyo743 it's spelled fuck dumb ass

  • his accent is awesome!

  • i <3 Bela Lugosi

"Fuck you, you come out here!"

    "let's shoot this fucker"

  • "Let's shoot this fucker!"

Say that wherever you go, see if anyone gets it.

  • @darky5k1987

"I will do that, Del Gue"!!!!

  • Does anyone know where i can see the original tapes that Ed wood shot of Bela a little before Plan 9?

The one where Bela dropped the rose etc.?

  • @ManInTheMirror124 those scenes are in Plan 9

  • This scene is actually very tragic.

  • FUCK YOU!! You come out here!

  • "Bat happend to deh STREEM?"

  • Martin landau is so good in this movie. The movie Ed Wood is overall a good one, but Landau is just brilliant.

  • "O.K......let's shoot this fucker." LMAO

  • I love this movie !! and this part :P

  • "Fuck you, you come out here." I love it!

  • This is one of the very best American films of the 90s.

Almost inevitably, hardly any Oscar recognition.

  • for a second i thought you were talking about bride of the monster itself haha. thats how brilliant the set design is. great film.

  • @NatSci Are you kidding me? Hardly any Oscar recognition? Martin Landau WON the Oscar for his role as Bela and the make up for making Bela won the Best Makeup Award at the Oscars too. Then again, those were the only two Oscars they wre even nominated for. Still, that's more recognition than most movies.

  • @NatSci Actually, it won 2 Oscars. Landau won supporting actor and Rick Baker won for Best Makeup. I'll admit, the film was definitely missing a Best Actor nom for Johnny Depp--one of his best roles I say.

  • @MOTHMAN225 Landau as lugosi is amazing too. You really believe it's him

  • @NatSci ... which is why martin landau got a fucking oscar for this one.

    ... yeah.

  • Bela Lugosi remembering that he turned down Frakenstein's monster does bring up the point that Boris Karloff took the role, and he ended up becoming an even bigger star than Lugosi.

  • I was watching this movie with a few friends of mine and we just laughed through it. Martin Landau as Bela Lugosi is definetly one reasons why this movie is so great.

  • yep! It's a great film! Gotta love Martin Landau!

  • HAHAHAHA. By the way, what is bisky? A german beverage?

  • I think he said whiskey, not bisky.

  • It´s obvious my friend, I'm just making fun of the East-european accent ot the great Bela. Same when he said "pull the strrrings"

  • i always mix up Landau and Palance after years of argue who is the actor in the film Warning and SimSalaBimSala both landau and palance.anyway Landau had russian accent.Lugosi is a Master

  • Hey...let's shoot this fucker!!!

  • thats what happens when you turn down Frankenstein...

  • Fuck you ! You come out here ! XD

  • It was freakin awesome to hear Mr Lugosi yell those words :D

  • God Damn it's Cold!

  • let's shoot this fucker

  • When he starts "fighting" the octopus, it's really funny.

  • "Hey, trow me dat veesky!"

    CLASSIC.

  • shake his arms around looks like hes killing you !, haha classic line

  • Marin Landau was amazing in this movie. This may be my favorite Johnny Depp and Tim Burton flick

  • Along with Crimes and Misdemeanors, this really established him as a great actor. Love this scene and Ed Wood, which was much more than a quirky comedy.

  • Bold desicion for Bela to turn down Frankenstein. Instead of earning more and mor emoney he chose to keep his pride. I could'nt possibly see Lugosi as the foundation of Dracula AND Frankenstein. Karloff delivers tho but Lugosi is just epic. He can bring epicness into anything he plays. Bela Lugosi... best actor ever :'(

  • Actually, according to everyone else, Bela did not turn down the role. He was actually rejected after make up testing, and whatnot. They found his to be laughable as the monster, rather than scary. Bela claims that he chose not to play the part. So, its everyone else's word versus Bela's word....

  • yeh, but he played frankenstein in frankenstein vs the wolfman, and he didnt look silly at all as the monster, in fact, he looked kinda cool.

  • poor bela. to go from turning down frankenstein to wrestling in a kiddie pool...

  • He was addicted to prescriptions, he could have said that and not know that he said it, but it is true, he turned down frankenstein because it was the polar opposite of Dracula

  • I love it... Long live Wood and Bela

  • When he's talking about how he turned down Frankenstein, it's almost kind of sad.

Almost like he's saying: "Maybe if I had taken Frankenstein, I wouldn't be doing this crap to earn money just to live."

  • Epic Battle

  • "God-damn it's cold!"

"It'll warm up once you're in it."

"Fuck you, you come out here!"

  • I love it when he curses XD

  • Shakes his legs around looks likes he's killing you.

  • -SOUND!?

    -Ed,we don't have sound...

    -Oh...and ACTION!

  • Let's shoot this fucker!

  • isn't it funny when he say... "hey trow me that viskey" haha

  • Alright let's shoot this fucker.

  • dosnt he shoot up right before this scene?

  • yes

  • Oh sorry, don't let me slow you down...

  • Epic battle.

  • "Let's shoot this fucker."

  • I have 25 scenes to shoot tonight hahah!

  • This looks more realistic than when the actual scene with Lugosi in BRIDE OF THE MONSTER. Still, this movie is good along with Ed Wood Jr's films. PLAN 9 is the best!

  • "Goddamn, It's cold!"

"It'll warm up once your in it"

"Fuck you you come out here!"

    xD

  • I would give so much to work on that film. Or basically any sort of B-film, they just look like so much fun.

    "Uh, we don't have sound."

  • Karloff? SIDEKICK!!!???

  • FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!

  • Throw me dá vísky!!!!

  • hhahaha, fuck man

  • What the fuck!?

Is youtube, censoring text now? What the fuck?!?

  • did you know i turned down frankestien?

  • "Did you know I turned down Frankenstein?"

That's technically true although I remember reading that James Whale (Frankenstein's director) really didn't want Bela for the part of the Monster at all and he had makeup man Jack Pierce do Bela up somewhat like 'The Golem' instead of the classic Frankenstein Monster look and told him that the part would call for him to do nothing but walking around grunting and gave no hint that the role would have pathos and scenes such as Maria being drowned.

  • the first time i saw this movie (one of my favorites) I had to rewind this scene like five times. So hilarious.

  • what a classic! funniest movie ever! Landau and Depp are superb! Indeed that was perfect!! lol

  • This scene was the best of the bunch.

  • God damned, it's cold!

It'll warm up when you're in it!

Fuck you! You come out here!

    Hey, throw me that whiskey!

    O man, I burst out laughing! :+DD

  • "Fuck you you come out here!!!"

    lololol

  • OMG I love this scene! lmao ;)

    Bela sure seemed cranky

  • "Let's shoot this fucker." A well deserved Oscar for Mr. Landau. He turned a good movie into one for the ages!

  • well.... I was shocked when i found out the octopus was not real :0

    so realistic!

    Great movie 5*

  • This movie was so good it inspired me to actually watch Ed Wood's movies. All I have to say is that afterward, I could understand why they all tanked haha.

Anyway, Johnny Depp and Martin Landau are hilarious in this. They should work together again.

  • LOL awesome movie

  • probably my favorite scene of the movie. this movie didn't make alot of money but the critics loved it. Imagine that.

  • that's what I call a low-budget movie :-)

this scene is hilarious and sort of tragicomical

  • Very underrated movie.

  • lol its hilarious in a way I cant even explain, its just such a pathetic moment for everyone.

  • "And, CUT!.... that was PERFECT!" lol

  • Funniest scene in Ed Wood.

  • LMFAO....1:50 -end...

  • "Let's Shoot this fucker!" Lol great

  • this movie was fucking amazing

  • "GOD DAMN IT'S COLD!!"

"it'll warm up once you're in it!"

"FUCK YOU, YOU COME OUT HERE!"

    xD

  • Martin landau deserved the Oscar, no question!

  • alright lets shoot this fucker, ha!

  • "throw me that VEESKY!"

  • That was hilarious...and kinda sad

  • the only movie by tim burton besides beetle juice, that uses the word fuck

  • HAHAAH!!! one of the funnyest scens from Tim Burtons Ed Wood, hahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lugosi got F'ed in the A by the studios for his daring to turn down a role they offered him. Same fate happened to Michael Keaton when he didn't want to do any more "Batman" movies, you may have noticed.

  • Can't blame Keaton for turning down a return in Batman Forever.

  • ha ha ha ha

    ahhhhhh!!!....ahhhh!!!!
