@ps3isdasht GOOD FOR YOU! Just don't get discouraged if you don't feel great right after quitting. Your body has to cough up all the crap in your lungs at first. But in awhile you'll feel so much better. I promise.
I highly recommend reading Allen Carr's The Easy Way To Stop Smoking. Rather than "dealing with it" or "coping with it", Allen Carr's book is the cure to nicotine addiction. From the moment you put the book down, you'll be a happy non-smoker, and you'll never crave a cigarette ever again. No withdrawal masking nonsense.... but a genuine end to the desire to feed your nicotine addiction. Free yourself from the slavery of nicotine addiction with Easyway. Seriously. It works.
the reason why people smoke is because they like the feeling of when the adrenal glands are signaled to release adrenaline, this causes their chest/heart area to feel "high", that "high" feeling is what gives them pleasure, however during this feeling they have a lot of trouble breathing

I am 16. I started smoking Cigarettes when i was 12 Years old. If someone tells you to start, Please get off it. Cause when you smoke up to a pack a day, Its hard to get off. Please take my word and everyone elses.
Started smoking as a really dumb 15 yr old saying that he will never get hooked now a dumb 19 smokes a pack and a bit a day of reds (16mg of nicotine) wish i never started kills you and drains money
I am addicted to that wondrous combination of caffeine, sugar, and other ingredients known as Coca-Cola.
I shall break this 50 year addiction only by establishing a camp deep in the woods many miles away from humanity in the woods of British Columbia, with God's help.
my life with nicotine is this, smoke alot for a month then don't smoke for years. doing snuff for a half a packk then quit. no addiction but i'm playing with fire...
Giving up smoking is one thing, giving up nicotine is another. I was advised that nicotine addiction is forever. After 30 years of smoking, giving up the actual smoking was straightforward, but I still use nicotine gum and patches even after almost a year. I have also put on a considerable amount of weight. Anyone have any suggestions ?
@xaltotunofpython I wrote my initial post before reading yours... Nicotine addiction is NOT forever. Allen Carr smoked for 33 years... as much as 5 packs a day, never less than three packs a day. His method has been proven effective for over 25 years for millions of people worldwide. Just read the book with an open mind, and follow his instructions (which include abstaining from using nicotine gums or patches). You won't put on weight, you won't fear life without nicotine.
This is the dumbest thing you can do! In the end it's ONLY another nicotine delivery device. I also needed 3 tries to get away from and somehow I don't understand whythe nicotine mafia is legal and other things are forbidden....nicotine is really harmful...
motivation should not be short term reason, if it is short term once you fullfill the reason you get bored if not fullfill it disappointment then you tend to go back to nicotene. it should be like long term like your health.
The tobacco industry is such a hypocrite. The spend millions on the drug war just so more people will use their drug. Thousands and thousands die from their addictive products each year and yet the federal government continues to allow them to continue to prosper by addicting people to nicotine. What some people will do to others for money, including the U.S. government who prospers from cigarette taxes. It's all about the money and not human beings. Legalized criminals!
There is hope for the Hopeless that are struggling with addiction. Reformers Unanimous is a faith-based addictions program. We maintain an 82% percent success rate! Check us out @Ruinternational.
