To ski uphill: Go downhill really fast and execute a J-turn.

Alternately, just in case this was a serious question, skate on them like a cross country skier. Watch the guys giving lessons they do this all the time to get from one end of the class to the other.

To go uphill on skis you have two choices. If you are using cross country (nordic) or telemark skis, you can use a manuever called Herringbone, which is where you put your skis into a V shape. If you have alpine skis, there are climbing skins that you attach to the bottom of the skis that allow them to grab the snow so you don't slide backward as you're going up.

Yeap ;) Those people that say it's easy just forgot how long it took them to learn it: now skiing is in their muscle memory so they don't even think about how they do it. Take this memory away from them and they will be noobs all over again ;).

Skiing is so easy. I don' see why people need these videos. I just got on the lift and went right down a black diamond slope, no problem. And as soon as I get out of the hospital, I'll do it again.

I went on the ski trip (i'm 13) with my school, Skiing is so easy!!! It's really fun as well. At 0:27 and 0:35 there doing parrallel turning, and everywhere else it's just carving. I know my profile says i'mm 27, that was an accident, anyone know how to change my age?

im going skiing in december for my first time with my school i have been snowboarding in switzerland when i was 12 so about 4 years ago if i could snowboard would the change to ski's be easier also whats the comparison of an artificial slope to the real thing there is one in pembrey which is about 20 miles from my house
