It was good but it was wayyy too fast. It's not vivace, but allegro, so maybe slow it down. One more little piece of constructive criticism is that when you do the part where it's the low G and E octaves add a little more emotion, cuz right now it sounded good technically, but it could be great if there was more emotion.
@superstar90897 The speed was something my teacher and I played with. We personally felt it sounded better with the faster tempo, and Mr. Vandall enjoyed the tempo as well when he stumbled across my video.
When it comes to the matter of emotion, I personally feel as though the definition of emotional playing varies from person to person. I throughly enjoyed this piece and when I play it again, I will keep your comment in mind to improve my playing.
honeyiloveyouforever if you choose to be so rude about this why do you choose to comment. Its clearly obvious shes playing the piece. But even if you can play oviation #1 you have no right to be rude but if you can play that piece than you have a bright future unless you choose to continue being rude and disrespectful to other talented artist. Im 13 and think you should keep your jealousy mute.
Like abstractpianist said, check a music store that supplies various piano music. I normally find the sheet music that I have and post it in the comment side, but I was unable to find the book that I have with this particular piece.
@bakafolas He was published by Myklas for years, but Alfred bought out Myklas and you should be able to find his music at Alfred's web site, or at any major music retailer.
i am 14 years old.... and i have played Ovation No. 1 and No. 3... LOL you messed up like i used to, on the start of the 2nd line 5th page. You got the two Es in the left hand, but you missed the B in the right hand. I really like the 3rd page, since the Pianos were GREAT!!! all in all I think it was a great job, but just work on the 2nd line of the 5th page(last page) and it would go from great to INSANE!!! keep up the good work. I have a video of me playing this same song...but the sound sucks
Your performance was very fluent and exciting. You were also at just the right tempo. The balances between melody and accompaniment were very well handled. This is the first time that I have seen YouTube videos and I am just blown away by what I have seen and heard. Thank you, very much for making my day! Robert Vandall
Thanks :) I loved the dynamics in this piece to since I don't normally like to pound the piano keys ^^; but this piece helped me realize that loud dynamics in a piece can be a lot of fun
What type of piano where you playing? The piano sounds beautiful and may want to purchase this model at one of the local piano dealers near where I live...
For some odd reason I can not remember what that piano was. And just saying it's a black grand piano with the name in gold, will do no good either. But I think it was either a Baldwin or a Steinway.
Robert D. Vandall and his wife were my piano teachers growing up! :)

I searched everywhere for Vandall and didn't get anything. How should I find the composer?

Any good piano music store should have his sheet music.

Hmmm.... I play this piece also. I must say, I think the rythms were a little off and uneven. And watch the dynamics. But nice job!

Thanks for the critique. I'm not so sure about what you meant with the dynamics though. But thank you anyway :)
