You have skipped a trigger which would erase the fighting bunch. Whenever there's a fight in the distance, the characters are substanceless like that. :)

Nice job. That fast hammer usage is a very useful trick. It's known, but finding it out for yourself is quite good.

If they're useful, at least report them. I'm writing a glitch FAQ for God of War II which will have all known glitches & shortcuts, etc.

I don't think this game has been thoroughly glitched yet. :)

That's probably true since 2 years after GoW1 we were still finding huge glitches after satvara found so many. When the GoWII high jumps were discovered, everyone went nuts finding stuff, but I agree, there are probably lots more.
