Janusha sound to me like ur a hater of American cars I will b honest weather or not it's a kit type car or not honestly who gives a fuck it's a real car and it's the fastest bottom line so git a life
Its just a concept car. An empty shell. It doesnt actually exist. These pictures are on a royal navy aircraft carrier but I can promise you this car was never there. Its just computer graphics.
The version before... was based on a Lamborghini Diablo replica kit. So it had exactly the proportions of a 90s Lamborghini except for its good looks.
Yeah you see... In America anyone is free to weld a frame in their own garage, buy an engine, handlebars and stuff off the net, get numberplates on it and sell it as a Harley, Chopper, Trike, whatever. No crashtesting, no emmissions, no government approval, no nothing. THIS is where you find american "supercars" at the moment. Kit-cars with every part taken out of other, already existing cars. Its complete amateurleague compared to the real thing.
Shit on a road track the aventador outran the veyron SS and the tuatara actually does 275mph. Veyron dick riders just mad the British keep coming up short after a short lived victory.
To the dumbass who said the ultimate Aero isn't in the records obviously are both blind and deaf. Even top gear acknowledge it was. And the just as British as the veyron. Get a life asshole and hatin. Pop your collar for once stupid ass.
15.1s is best aero with 1287hp, window grille open so more drag
14.5s is downhill with 1183hp, window grille closed
About -1s for increased Hp and less drag
+ 0.5s a shift from 2nd to 7th ( assuming 200mph in 7th tuatara) , = 2.5s or 2.0s in a manual gearbox. Some tuatara will have dual clutch , shift time negligible, based on customer choice. And SSC will definately test the DC for their record.
@ASSHOLELA If the Tuatara can deliver as promised it will certainly be fastest anyway!HOW fast it will be, can until we have the facts, as best just be a, qualified guess. I think we all have to wait and see ;)
Does anybody really care how fast ? These speeds are entirely theoretical as nobody will ever attempt it in reality. Which is why they can just put any damn number.
@Janusha Yeah you're absolutely right. Anyhow people will always be interested in who is the fastest, the strongest, tallest, fatest, lowest and so on! It's a part of human nature I think. It's not very useful for anyone to be the strongest or the fastest man on earth either. People will always compete and that's probably why world looks like it does...or?
yes... People will always throw meaningless stats around as if they mean something. Like these lame Nurburgring lap times which is being thrown around these days as conclusive evidence of an entirely fictional american supercar superiority. I see it as a moonlanding moment. Impressive, sure. But who else was trying. Americans like to claim they "beat" everyone to the moon, at the nurburgring and now in top speeds... But nobody else is doing it, so who did they actually beat.
What you are talking about, human nature and the quest for ever new and better technology... This is where the European car industry is. Instead of wild, unrealistic claims, Ferraris, Porsches, Lambos, Bugatti and your swedish Koenigsegg.. They are all about superior build quality, styling and the latest technology while american supercar attempts are traditionally cheaply built kit-cars with every part taken out of already exsisting cars. Built to appeal to nationalism and nostalgia.
the tuatara will severet kick the Veyron SS and agera R's butt when it comes out.
its gearbox in an Aero is already 0-200mph 15.1s. And SSC Aero only have 1287hp. Tuatara has 1350hp and even more lighter and aerodynamic. Plus it will have a 7 speed dual clutch. That means no more 0.5s manual shifts. The 0-200mph will be like sub 13s, maybe even sub 12s. In that time agera R only at 270kmh.
@ASSHOLELA It will probably say bye bye to AgeraR. Tuataras dryweight is1250kg(2750lbs) and curb weight with driver ,fuel and other liquds as oil etc will probably land on about 1360-70kg. Thats almost 1kilo/hp!!But I don't think sub 13 is possible even with that . Maybe sub 14, we will see :). look at the video with F1 car Lotus Renault R30, It does 0-100kph in3,25 sek . 0-200kph in5,95 and 0-300 in 12,1! add 22 kph to that will give 200mph in about 13+sec. Thats a car wit only 0,8 kilo/hp...
f1 cars have very poor highe end accel, they top out at about 280kmh for HDF, anyways, by 280kmh their acceleration is slower than the veyron SS , Agera And Ultimate Aero.
The lotus renault is significantly slower than the best f1 cars like red bull. Red Bull can reach 340kmh on monza and 0-300kmh in about 10s, 0-200mph in <13s. The ferrari f1 that alonso drove is 0-200kmh in 5.2s, and 0-100kmh in 2.78s.
Both Koenigsegg and Bugatti have announced they are finished and done with speed records so yeah... It will be the only car actually trying to break these records. None of that stops it from being a kit car tho. These speeds and times of yours is pure speculation. Im more interrested in if they can actually make a good car.
@ASSHOLELA What do you think about longitudinal friction on the tires i hear at 250+MPH any abnormality aerodynamically or from road friction can drastically effect top end where there is little torque left.im hoping that ssc can find a faster road than the one they used in texas.love your videos BTW
rolling resistance causes about 5% of the drag losses of the car, but that percentage is constant independent of top speed. This is responsible for the 273mph theoretical top speed of the SSC as opposed to the 290mph or so TheOfficialKC has calculated so using basic aero equations.
@ASSHOLELA interesting i always assumed longituinal friction increased with downforce but like you said since its always there it doesnt matter.what i do know is co E will play a huge part in SSCs sucess.there rumors floating everywhere about konigsegg topping the SS VEYRON.i haven't seen a video or any substantial proof.are you an engineer do you work in the automotive industry.
Tell me.. why bother with these ridiculous numbers ? NONE of these cars will ever do what you are talking about. Who ever saw a SSC Aero do anything at all since they went fast ONCE in 2007. Regardless of unrealistic top speeds that are only possible with a full factory tech crew standing by with laptops and tools setting the car up and police blocking off the streets for 20 miles. Will the actual CAR be any better than the homebuilt SSC Aero or just another silly kit-car.
I wonder why do you call SSC a kit car. None of a mfr car is a kt car in my opinion. Kit cars are those which hobbyists build for themselves, selling to others for "social" reasons not legally binding and have absoluteley no warranty at all for their products.
whoever saw a koenigsegg CCXR trevita do anything at all? The point is these cars are so rare, they are even rarer than mclaren f1s that hardly anyone gets any exposure to them save for SSC themselves and owners who keeps to themselves.There are no excess for press to test.
Whether or not the SSC Aero is a kit-car isnt up to opinion. Any production car MUST have 3 things. I highly doubt they have any of this. An EPA certificate of emissions systems compliance, a verification of OBD II strategy acceptance, a certificate from CARB if you are selling cars in CA, NY, NJ, VT, MA, MI, CT, or RI For company liability and owner insurance rates, there are two other things that it SHOULD have: Verification and compliance testing to FMVSS standards by independent-
- testing facilities, car "crashworthiness" assessment by the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety). NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) performed by NHTSA would be a bonus, but probably not likely for the 16 cars so far made by SCC. And finally...it must be "in production".
That is components from production tooling, assembled either on a line or compartments, and then legally sold to customers with registered VIN numbers. If it isn't, you are just another wisearse building kit-cars.
Nothing wrong with kit-cars/component cars as long as they are honest about not building fully certified production vehicles. Also, any car builder/engineer/fabricator with any self respect wouldnt compare homebuilt kit-cars to a Bugatti veyron, Koenigsegg, Zonda solely based on its HP, Top speed or number of cupholders. People that do that don't know any better and sure as hell never designed, developed, prototyped, tested, certified, or produced a car.
You see.. In america anyone is free to weld a frame in their own garage, buy a Harley engine, handlebars, drivetrain and wheels, put numberplates on it and call it a Harley, trike, chopper, whatever. Without crashtesting or any kind of government regulations. While in Europe, the real supercars are a result of rock hard engineering and years of research & development, US equivalents are home built kit-cars that pick every part out of other cars. How this is is even road legal is a mystery to me.
Sorry for making an essay here.. But you should perhaps know that SSCs business previous to the SSC Aero, was to build replica kits. They used their very own Lamborghini replica kit as base for their SSC Aero. which is why its got the exact proportions of a 90s Diablo exept its good looks. The few reviewers that have tested this thing, say its pointless, uncontrollable and smells of glue. One reviewer said it had all the luxury of a Chinese Rickshaw. They werent very impressed.
this is all very technical and all, but where is the source of all this? Care to quote me?
i dont know if SSC meets all the criteria, but if Guiness certifies it as the fastest production car in 2007, it is bound to meet the requirements that guiness stipulates.
These are the steps every car maker has to go through inorder to market and sell a car on the american market. Unless you are a kit-car builder. Somehow its ok to weld a steel tubular frame in your garage, dress it up in already government approved parts out of other cars and get numberplates on it. But clearly this amateur league shouldnt be confused for the real thing. Guiness is a british gentleman with a stopwatch. They care little for laws and car building.
Saleen S7, Mosler, Hell even the Ford GT was a mix of other cars. Ofcourse they will tell you the Ford GT is all american but it was designed by engineers from Aston Martin and Lotus. Chassis and handling were done by Lotus, gearbox, drivetrain were picked out of old Jaguars and Astons. British bodywork, British Recaro interior, german wheels, italian brakes, steering out of a German Ford Focus. Just about the only thing american was the engine. Picked out of a truck.
well, unless you are a professor in law you've got to quote me a source about all this stipulations.
Im no law student but if cars like SSC are let loose on American streets the regulations are de facto but not enforced And a law not enforced is a law not at all.
And why should you care at all about the stringent guidelines if Guinness defines production car in a looser way? Their definition suffices for the 99% of public who are not academics?
Guiness book of records is... Not a government office. They do NOT care whether or not a car is legally "production" This isnt open for opinion. There are laws.
The state of the US car business these days.. The lack of investment means that they try to cut every corner when bringing a new car to market. Which is why the new Dodge Challenger is a re-used Chrysler C300 which again is a 16 years old Mercedes. The Chevvy Camaro SS is a redressed Australian Holden pickup with a Corvette-
-engine. Hennessey Venom GT is a redressed Lotus... Because when they reuse yesteryears tech like this, they tell the public that its an all new vehicle but they tell the government its just a redressed old one which is already government approved. Which saves them all kinds of crash testing and simulations that cost shitloads of money.
Dagger GT promises 2000 hp but promisies not to "waste" a single dollar on research and technology. Instead they will take every part out of other cars.
Its all fine that SSC and america is trying.. But this is amateur league compared to the real thing. Supercars dont cut corners. Bugatti forexample had to come up with a front that would withstand a bird strike at 250 mph. If they couldnt make that. Well, then the car cant do 250 mph.
Its elecronically limited to what every single part is built for. Forexample the tyres. While tuneshops and kit-car builders just grab parts out of other cars, sprinkle it with patriotism and shout big words.
Look, instead of rambling away would you just quote a source? is it too hard? People like me like to believe what you say, but we cant coz we dont know whether all this comes from the legislative or your arse.
Guiness is not a govermnet body. correct. but people dont care. Only the law pundits would care. For the general public, as long as guinness says its production the public accepts it.
Quote a source for the laws of bringing a car to market? I listed every single major stepping stone with names. Look it up. Failing any or all of them means the car is technically not road legal. How they manage to put numberplates on kit-cars is a mystery to me, but they do. Just like anyone can weld their own motorcycle frame in their own garage, buy a Harley engine call it a "Chopper" and get licence plates. Like West Coast Customs on tv does. No crashtesting, no nothing.
of course i can google each and every single stepping stone.
But there must be a source of leglislature somewhere compiling them all totegther saying that "Unless all these criteria is satisfied, this car is not considered production" or something like that.
Otherwise, how are we going to be sure if its not a continuum? That passing each test makes a car more "production" and less kit car characteristics? And how are we going to know that this is a cold and hard law an dnot merely a guideline?
I dont actually know if there are any clever places to go to get a comprehensive how-to-do list. I looked into it and what I found is accurate. I take an interrest in such things and have friends at the Koenigsegg factory in sweden. I also visit Lamborghini, Ferrari, Pagani, Maserati, Lotus, Jaguar and such things to see how its really done. Its therefore provoking when you see wannabe kit-car manufacturers that claim best in the wooorld without actually producing shit themselves.
The strict rules by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for motor vehicles make it really difficult and expensive to put a new car to market. Often at considerable expense to type-certify a vehicle for the US market. Upward to 2 million dollars pr model. So to sell a Koenigsegg forexample in USA would cost FIRST 2 million in certification, then the price of the car. This explains why small manufacturers in USA use parts out of other cars that already are approved.
The lack of investment in supercars in USA means they have a fraction of the budgets Euro performance cars enjoy. SSC sold 14 cars. Saleen S7, Mosler, and thats the entire list. Sold around 30-40 cars to die-hard enthusiasts and went bankrupt. NHTSA and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations criminalise the possession of a vehicle not meeting U.S. standards. Somehow, however these rules dont seem to apply to kit-cars. This grey-area is where I really cant find any documentation.
good that means that that law is not known to be explicitly defined, which also means that ssc, saleen , henessey and all the american kit cars can get their liscensce plates and not be arrested. Sure, it may not pass certain QC guidelines, so long as they're legal and can be driven is good enough for us.
As "legal" as someone welding a steel frame in their own garage and fitting an engine to it and then numberplates. Its likely that these things arent considered legal or illegal. Its like driving a motorcycle without a helmet... Which isnt legal or illegal in USA. More at your own risk. There is a bewildering array of legislations and restrictions inorder to put a car to market in USA. Most of which are made especially difficult inorder to discurrage niche producers from starting up-
-and to make it hard for imported cars to dominate the american market. The rules dont seem to apply to domestic products to the same extent.
/en.wikipedia.o r g/wiki/United_States_Department_of_Transportation
Here is a comprehensive list. Still, none of this prevents SSC from being a kit-car compared to the real thing and its top speed claims, entirely theoretical. They DO not qualify as "production" vehicle and I cant say Ive ever actually seen them mentioned in the book of records.
if you take your finest engineers and there ideals along with there knowlege base to 24 Heures du Mans you push your brands ideals along with there knowlege base past there limits to create better products for your brand very simple well i guess for most people : \
this guy i tell ya corvettes are purchased worldwide and respected in many countries.there are a plethora of german race teams that use corvettes.as there race cars.german based zakspeed racing uses vipers and one of there drivers actually set the former dodge viper record at the nuburgring.another german set the new one
Our old viper made from an aluminum tub chassis with a truck motor massaged by lamborghini has all but crushed in my opinion the greatest track car ever built the GT2RS.the Germans are acting very nonchalantly about this but rumor has it porsche is quite furious about recent laptimes by non porsche cars on a track they basically built there company on.there taking there intelligent engineering to lemans.where America has been quite successful to finish delopment on the 918 based GT1 SUPERCAR.
Lamborghini did NOT ever work on the god damn Viper engine.
The Viper did NOT break any god damn records at the Ring. Sending a full race crews there with raced up Vipers does NOT in any way break any records.
Oh and your idea that Bugattis cost more to build than they cost to buy. Another wild american myth. Another one is that they cost 100 000 dollars for a service. And that the Mercedes SLS AMG is really the next gen Viper stolen fron Chrysler.
@Janusha what are you going to to when an italian/american VIPER injected with ferrari dna runs down the ring in the low 7mins high 6mins along side of the 1360.777 kg C7 stingray corvette hybrid with 700hp the seats and dash panels will be made of carbon and soybeans with an pseudo ipad as a command center.no F1 garbage no 100,000eu hand crafted leather and exotic wood to weight it down just pure sports car.I tell ya this nothing from europe will touch them outside of porsche
Haha yeah. Always the next big thing. Nobody can refute the next big thing because it doesnt exsist yet.
ONLY americans bought the Viper. It died when they sold a couple of hundred cars a year and no longer made money. Now that it might return, its with italian design, Italian quality, italian tech. Which makes it Italian priced. So the redneck bang-for-the-buck is out. The big truck engine is out. We all know Italians can build a sportscar. But whats left to get all patriotic over?
@Janusha What's not to get patriotic over once again you confuse engineering with design asthetics.it will definitely have an Italian flair never the less it will be Chrysler based brute force muclecar that can out finesse the great ones same formula as the last one.did we already forget the old one was a dodge with a ram truck engine massaged by lamborghini same formula.this will also be 1350-1450kg of American thunder backed with lemans winning engineering under its belt.shes aged quite well
LOL this guy blurs the lines of luxury car and sportscar some if most sought after sportscars supercars have aluminum for a dash rock hard seats with no headrest
@StanOfGB: Yeah thats because "Janusha" is a gutless pussy, who sits on his parent's farm in Norway, trashing american car videos on the internet. He is a nobody, nothing he says should be taken seriously.
I talk on alot of topics. But only when its american cars, does it explode in anger, hate and bullshit. Because you guys are mental and cant face facts.
@Janusha: Okay so why is it that you cant give me one person on this video thats claiming "BEST IN THE WORLD" WORLD DOMINATING" and all that garbage??? The reason why you can't even give me 1 name, is because ITS YOU. Its your words. No one here is claiming anything, BUT YOU
I dont talk about the car as much as I address the wild claims, ridiculous myths and hype surrounding it.
Its just a overhyped kit-car that sold waht.. 15 cars. Now this new one is a year late already and they havent even shown more than this empty shell. not even a prototype and already the flagwaving fools are comparing to a Veyron or even better.
@Janusha Seriously, here's the last thing I'm going to tell you. How many millions of euros did VW spend on the development of the veyron? maybe 200 million euros or more? The chief of Bugatti said himself that the main goal of the veyron was to be the fastest, so don't start to tell me about the interior and stuff. Then along came a little "kit car" as you call it and it beat the veyrons top speed at a fraction of the cost. Who's more intelligent now? They did it once they can do it again. Bye.
At a fraction of the cost ? Its 6-700 000 dollars. And for that you get a steel tubular chassis as seen in homebuilt race cars since the 60s. The chassis is copied from their own Lamborghini Diablo replica kit. Which is why its got that 90s kit-car look. Inside every single part, gearing, drivetrain, steering, seats, engine, is all picked out of other, already exsisting cars. Speed is the easy part. Dragsters have done it for decades. This is amateur league compared to the real thing.
700 000 dollars for a kit-car. Or how about a Stile Bertone. A redressed Corvette ZR1 for 2 million dollars. Or how about a Hennessey Venom GT for 1,5 million. Which is a modded Lotus built in britain with a 1200 hp engine that they also didnt make. Why so provoked about the price of a Bugatti when your kit-cars cost more. If European supercars were priced wrong, nobody would buy them and they would all go bankrupt... Like american cars do. SSC sold LESS than 15 cars in 5 years. Amateur league !
Difference is... if you were one of the lucky buggers to get your hands on a Bugatti. You are the owner of the pinnacle of automotive excellence for our generation just like the Mclaren F1 was for its time and the Miura, F40, Enzo, Zonda R and all those. Everybody complained how the Ferrari FXX was sooo expensive. They cost 1,8 million and now trade on auctions for 7-10 mill. Bugattis are already selling for up to 3 million.
If the new Tutara is any good. Remains to be seen.
@Janusha Dude, the Bugatti cost at least 5million-8million to make.the owners of Bugatti are currently making losses on the Veyron.The reasons why,Bugatti are making the Veyron to strengthen the brand as a engineering pioneer and to differentiate the company from other manufacturers.Bugatti are seeking new concepts to help aim the company into a niche market.
If you want to waste money you can always get a Stile Bertone. Which is just a redressed Corvette for 2 million dollars. Or how about the Hennessey Venom GT. A 30 000 dollar Lotus Elise with 1200 hp for 1,5 million dollars.
By no means am I trying to say vipers sell Like crazy oversees my point is they are sold and respected in places that are very discerning when it comes to sportscars like Corvettes an vipers.I could care less what sells in Europe.I do have a newfound interest at how we win at your tracks and I'm not alone.America has discovered the nurburgring when patriotic state like Texas sends vipers outside of the US to set records on a track the avg American would struggle to spell we have taken notice.
Vipers have NEVER been sold outside america. Single people have imported single cars but there has never been a dealer or any mass export. Same goes for Corvette.
And by now, you know as well as me these ridiculous american Nurburgring lap times are set with heavily modified vehicles on barely legal tyres with full factory backed race crews to create hero status in USA. A media stunt at best. But what did they acomplish. Viper died, Corvette and Cadillac STILL dont sell abroad.
@Janusha The viper didnt die its at chrysler proving grounds as we speak it has had another injection of italian dna fiat spa has worked wonders with chrysler.the 23year old dodge viper can beat an italia 458 at most tracks now and fiat spa owns ferrari what will happen when a fiat viper touches said nurburgring you think you hate american cars now wait till one hits a sub 7:00 min mark.the C7 is already testing in michigan.the GREAT CARROL SHELBY is even tuning his 620hp 2014 gt500 at the ring
Vipers never died.. Christ.. Instead of you making stuff up as you go along.. Try some reality. Chrysler put the Viper brand up for sale in 2007. Thats why they didnt make a 2007 model. It was only selling a few hundred cars a year and wasnt making money. However dodge found no "serious" buyers according to Chrysler CEO Bob Nardelli. So instead they made a racecar out of it, the ACR, did the Nurburgring media stunt and managed to keep it alive for a few more seasons. Today its DEAD.
According to the Chrysler bankruptcy documents the Viper brand had just 16 million earnings at the time when Chrysler was taken over by Fiat. Thats not enough money to justify research and development of a new model. The engine had to go due to old age and emissions. Fiat considered putting a Ferrari engine into it and letting the Ferrari crew modernise it but that would kill the whole "bang for the buck" thing and it would no longer appeal to americans. Much like a Harley with a Porsche engine.
What Corvette and Viper has both announced is that their next models WONT enter the "already crowded" supercar world to compete with Ferrari, Lambo, Mclaren. Instead they are approaching their LeMans race teams to erase the distinction between racecar and roadcar. Which is probably the way to go for their brand identities given their budgets. Just like the Viper ACR its racecar fast because its a racecar and its a hell of alot cheaper than the research and development that goes into a supercar.
@Janusha Viper died, Corvette and Cadillac STILL dont sell abroad. <<<<<<<<<< COPIED AND PASTED FROM WHAT YOU TYPED.not only is fiat spa not changing the 8.4 there going to incorporate it into a strange looking alfa.the viper is not a mass produced supercar like a corvette its has a more occult following.so it doesnt have to be scrutinized.why make a 500,000$ viper when the 100,000$ one beats up on 1,000,000$ european halo cars.so we can have some fancy wood and handcrafted leather.LMAO
@Janusha what you seem to forget is YES its a crowded supercar market but in all things great its not crowded at the top of the food chain where americas few supercars exist.america has become interested in corners which is a scary thought for the european markets.since we have already dominated lemans decades ago.you guys seem to forget where most of your racing technology comes from.
Yes Viper died...There is no way they could continue the aged truck derived enormous 8.4 litre V10. And therein lies their entire dilemma. If they change the engine, the entire brand identity goes with it. If they put in carbonfibre monocell, active aero, paddleshift, dualclutch, millisecond gearing, proper interior, any of the things you expect out of a modern supercar, then first of all it would be seen as copying Euro supercars and secondly it would end up costing supercar money.
Its funny that you think Fiat will continue using the Vipers engine... For what? You are just making shit up. Occult following... christ.. Why make a Viper at all if nobody buys it?
You can easily buy a 50 million dollar mansion by the sea, designer shoes and jewlery. Shit. you can buy a cellphone for 100 000 dollars. The stereo in a Veyron costs more than a Corvette. You just cant see the market for upper quality cars because america dont make them. Therefore they are wrong and "flawed"
@Janusha as usual you keep missing the point fiat is an italian company they respect the viper.they know there own handy work.the viper has italian dna it doesnt even sound american dispite its looks.halo cars arent for mass production they show the direction of your company and what your capable of.Dodge C.E.O Ralph Gilles has already pulled the trigger on the new viper a year ago.just google 2013 dodge viper its hiding in plain sight.it could keep its 8.4 or it could be a forced induction 6.4.
@Janusha you wacky europeans with all your add ons when are you going to realize less is more when it comes to a sportscar you dont need a 100,000$ interior to gofast.we already proved this at the nuburgring.face it your cars are getting long in the tooth because F1 isnt evolving as much as it used to.look out out of your front door europe is not paved with lamborghinis most people drive little shit boxes with 3 and 4 cylinder motors.a long boring parade of little clown cars.
What you people seem to completely not understand is that its not just hypercars and supercars for the rich america DONT make. Its also Also GT cars, sports saloons, sporty SUVs, Hatchbacks, Hothatches, traditional sportscars, superminis and certainly no executives. Infact no upper market cars at all. Here if I want a cheap, great looking sportscar, I have many choices. Lotus, entry level Porsche, Caterham, MX5, RX8, Speedster. Citroen DS3. If I want a sporty saloon there are all kinds of -
-choices. If I want a great looking GT, there is Aston Martin, Maserati, upper BMW and Mercedes or Jaguar. If I want a razor sharp racecar there are options in all ranges from Ariel Atom to Gumpert and Koenigsegg. Or a streetracer like Nissan GT-R, EVO, Impreza, Infact you got easily 100 options while america got Corvette... Which they hype to the skies and try to fit all these categories. Even if it really was as fantastic as you people want us to believe, is it enough to have ONE decent car?
@Janusha ill bet there are a wide variety of fine european cars for you to chose from however like I said before europe is paved with fiats Citroëns smartcars minis and various Japanese and Korean shitboxes with 100hp at best.I don't care what you people drive I care about American record breaking cars remember this video is about a small American company with 2 geniuses working together to take down the arguably europes finest car the veyron and its top speed record.but still have a warrany
@Janusha such choices you say your obviously missing the point of a sportscar you seem to think a sports car has to look like your living room inside and the sports comes 2nd NO that would be a luxury car.as I've stated before your racing programs namely F1 just isn't what it used to be the mclaren one of the most feared F1 cars could not even build a roadcar that cant even beat our bargain Z06 at any track.our middle grade 47,000$us camaro ZL1 has taken down the Gt3 at the ring ethic a 7:43.
Im sure you would choose different.. But atleast there is a choice. And again... There is a choice because people actually DO buy these things.
For your information.. It doesnt take a genius to copy a Lamborghini Diablo replica kit. It doesnt take a genius to put a big engine into a steel tubular race car chassis. There is NOTHING new in that entire car. They havent had the budget to do anything special. Again with your bullshit Ring laps... Getting tired of those.
People are talking about the Mclaren MP4-12c Ring time now. 7-24 or whatever. Which is slower than the Corvettes and Vipers right... While the whole world knows the Mclaren is a far better car. So why is it "slower" then ? Because they ran an actual car without a full race crew and modifications like the americans always do. Or will you tell me next how Corvettes and Vipers are better than Mclaren ? hahaha.. You people. Maybe its time to stop claiming bullshit.
@Janusha it doesn't take a genius to make a production car with a co E of a fish hahahahaha they already beat Europes finest engineers in the auto industry once they didn't have a silky smooth track like Eri lessen to set there record on and to this day is still faster than a regular veyron the worlds finest engineers had to redesign there masterpiece of 23years in R&D just to beat the SSC which the whole company only 4 years old.you wacky euros with your inferiority complexes quite amusing.
The Veyron isnt best in the world for its top speed or for having 1000hp. You can do both of those in a god damn Mustang. This attitude of yours isnt unique. Its all american and its the reason you guys will never establish a supercar or or upper quality car industry. You go to London, Nice, Corniche, Moscow, Biarritz, Cannes, Monaco, Montecarlo and see what people ACTUALLY drive. Like americans with a good income, they arent driving GMs. You guys and your illusions. SSC is a kitcar.
@Janusha obviously a $30,000 mustang will not compete with a veyron but a $100,000 viper will on any track because while the veyron was overengineered for 23years without ever winning a race the viper was winning lemans.sadly for you our 70,000$ mustangs will soon over take the overengineered veyron at the track too.you wacky euros are always trying to reinvent the wheel.you havent even sent anyone to space yet.quite commical have a look down your street its a bunch of 100hp mini coopers.
@Janusha of course your tired of hearing about nurburgring laps.since all you talk about is luxury cars on sportscar videos.well maybe you should leave your comments in Mercedes-Benz bentley videos but that wouldn't be as entertaining as humiliating yourself here on American sportscar videos.to each is own the nurburgring is here to stay and Fia rules and lemans has developed our cars into fearsome track monsters.while F1 has gone soft and stale you people need to get it together
@tingokuman woooah, your the one missing the point. the veyron and all that, thats an upscale sports car. those cars arent exclusively made for the track. the gumpert apollo speed IS exclusively made for the track (like the viper) and beats it round the ring by a second. there. want lap times? there it is. and come on..lets get real here..american cars are complete garbage. giant ohv v8. never changed. just the same thing. thats not record breaking.
@superchargedAMG lol you want to talk about veyrons goto a veyron video.SSC has already sent Volkswagen to the drawing board once.volkswagen pulled the plug on the veyron and if its going to stand a chance against this a private owner will have to pull it off but that's not a production car now is it.the million dollar Apollo sport is only 2tenths of a sec of a 23year old dodge.LOL the European sports car market is running for there lives what if America decided to send a 1,000,000$ C6R
@tingokuman i love how you fuckers always bring up price, yet, price is not performance; if you want to talk price, go on a kia forum. the bugatti veyron, which was introduced in 2005, is a stupid comparison to make to the ssc. the upcoming renissance will be a fair comparison.
@superchargedAMG a stupid comparison ????? WTF are you talking about you ever head of a veyron ss.Volkswagen knows who SSC is they made a 2million dollar veyron just to take there crown back from a 4year old COMPANY what are they going to do now Hennessy motorsports USA is going for the crown too.
Oh you people and your kit cars. You know aswell as me the Hennessey Venom is a british built Lotus modified by a tuneshop. The only thing american on it is the engine which they also didnt make. Its just the Corvette engine again. As in every american kit-car project. Not because its made out of magic and patriotism but its cheap and available and there are already exsisting parts out there to put it at any state of tune. And for that they have the balls to ask a million dollars.
As for your SSC Aero. Its the worlds most overhyped kit-car that failed to catch a public appeal and died. They claim wooooorld speed record for "production" cars but was never a production car. Which ever way you like to turn it inorder to feel better about america, its still a kit-car.
you are an idiot sir , ssc aero was a production car also it held world speed record for 4 years with 6 L V8 TT engine , Bugatti need 16 cylinders and 4 turbos to top ssc only by 10 miles
What part of "kit-car" is hard for you to understand ? Number of cylinders is as important for top speed as number of cupholders. Its all good that america tries to make something special... But dont get amateur league confused with the real thing.
@Janusha LOL wacky euros are at it again.so the standard non modified veyron lost to an SSC AERO KIT CAR LOL you realize bugatti has been working on the veyron since the early 90s and lost there speed crown to a company that makes kitcars
Bugatti spent 5 years on the Veyron and it has been a great success. Anyone is free to weld a steel tubular chassis in their own garage, put in 2000 hp and go fast. Dragsters have done it for 40 years. Where is the achievement.
When Ferrari and Mclaren DONT do 270 mph its because there is no market for it. Not because they are unable to do so. These people build F1 cars from scratch and you think an american kit-car builder is a match based on its top speed or number of cupholders ?
In USA anyone can weld a frame in their own garage, buy a Harley engine, handlebars, wheels. brakes, put numberplates on it and call it a Harley, Trike, Chopper, whatever. No crash testing, no emissions, no production tooling, nothing is required. This is where you find americas supercar attempts. Saleen, Mosler, SSC Aero and whops... Thats the entire list. How these things are road legal is a mystery to me.
This attitude towards supercars is why america will never establish their own brands.
@Janusha LOL the Bugatti EB110 was a complete and utter FAILURE.too complex too ugly and Zero demand most of these cars were sold at a fraction of what it cost to built them.HEY thats kinda the same story with the veyron great buisness decisions as usual and it cant beat an american club racer viper on the nurburgring.i highly doubt it will even get close to a 100,000$ Z06.all that effort to make a car thats slower on a track.good job europe ERRRR FAIL.the tuatara has already outsold the eb110
@Janusha Where do you get this kit car thing at JASON CASTRIOTA DOES NOT MAKE KITCARS.he makes minimalist low co efficient cars thats yield higher speeds without increasing hp.dont take my word for it im just a dum ol american.ask BERTONE,FERRARI,FIAT SPA,LANCIA,MASERARTI and SAAB,i could be mistaken how many super cars has norway built i have no clue ive seen some despicable Aetek Fyk from your neck or the woods.our sports cars have even awaken porsche AG theres a rumored LEMANS/PRODUCTION GT1
Whatever you think of the EB110 it was made in the middle of a recession by completely different people than todays Bugatti. The Veyron on the other hand sold all their initial 300 cars + another 150 Supersports while SSC built 16 kit-cars and sold 14. And Jason Castriota. So far his kit-car work includes the P4/5 which is a restyled Enzo, the Stratos which is a reworked F430 and the Stile Bertone which is a redressed Corvette. He designs the LOOKS, he doesnt actually build any cars.
Jason Castriota is a god among men because he is a Italian / american that that worked at Pininfarina doing designs for the actual supercar industry in Italy. Im sure that makes him very special... In america.
As for your "nurburgring records" You know as well as me those runs were done with full factory backed race crews in modified cars. A media stunt at best. This idea that the Ring is some kind of international "benchmark" where we all go to see whats best, is an all american myth.
@Janusha You confuse Aesthetics with aerodynamics and designers with engineers.JASON CASTRIOTA is a designer not an engineer he doesn't have to do anything to a chassis or a powertrain.bertone,lancia,ferrari,fiat ag,maserati and saab.use Jason castriotas expertise in aerodynamics to create more efficient designs that's cheat on mothernature and bear less strain on said powertrains.if a standard SSC AERO took down a 23year old bugatti what would the same car with a barracudas coefficient do
Yea veyrons are sold at 1.5mill eu and depriciate to a mere 960,000eu according to F.A. AUTOMOBILE LOL.YOU europeans you all drive tiny clown cars with 1.3 liter powerplants what is the point of a veyron on your old tiny roads.anyways if nobody has noticed the nuburgring why has the former king of the ring (PORSCHE) decide to get back into LEMANS RACING.ill tell you why lemans wins translates into production cars that stand on par with the best like the CORVETTE AND VIPER.porsche got it right
So much hate. Dont confuse LeMans racecars with roadcars. I can promise you whatever Porsche decides, isnt based on what Corvette does.
Whats with the anger. If Bugattis, Ferraris, Lambos were too expensive, then nobody would buy them, they would go bankrupt like american Vipers and your kit-car builders, problem solved. Its funny how you people were hating Ferrari FXX because they cost 1.8mil. Now they are selling for 7-10 mil. Veyrons have gone for 3 million dollars already.
Lambo, Ferrari, Aston, Lotus and Porsche have all made more expensive cars than the Veyron lately and they arent exactly having problems selling them.
Americans on the other hand are still busy with their 1-2 kit-cars and their record chasing. The whole business is weird. It seems more important to impress flagwaving fools while forgetting that they dont actually build or sell any cars. You are forgetting that, inspite of silly records, both the Viper and SSC died because nobody bought one.
@Janusha It doesn't seem you understand the LOGIC behind lemans racing.other than LMP class our cars use production based chassis,powertrain our GT2 C6R has won 7x at lemans with parts sourced from the production car the C6 like most Europeans.I realize this simplistic form of homolagation escapes you which is why you people worship F1.Porsche needs to stay at the top of the food chain.porsche is a well respected brand in the US.it would be detrimental to porsche as a lesser car than a domestic.
Audi won LeMans 10 out of 12 times. No american has ever won LeMans since 1967 with the british built Ford GT40. American LeMans on the other hand are swarmed with over 50% american factory backed teams. How the hell can they lose? Corvette has announced they are going to use their LeMans teams when they design the next C7 Corvette because already exsisting race parts is a hell of alot cheaper than the research, tech and development that goes into a proper supercar.
Yeah we like F1... Or rather F1 could never have come out of america. where most racing is on an oval track and no technology is required. Look at Indycar. Its just a big gocart with no new tech. NASCAR stagnated technically in the 80s. Likewise your supercar attempts are like Ive said many times before, steel tubular chassis welded in a garage as seen in racecars since the 60s. US performance is cheaply built to appeal to patriotism and nostalgia. There is no tech or build quality. Git r dun !!
Some germans like to race Corvettes and Vipers because they are technically simple to mod and without numberplates, they are considerably cheaper than Ferrari, Aston, Porsche, and the rest. That doesnt mean Corvette and Viper actually sell cars in Europe. These are privately imported by enthusiasts. There arent enough sales to even warrant ONE single dealership in all of Europes 500 million population. Again. Dont confuse racing with roadcars.
@Janusha American race cars are quite simple to work on at the track.I race SCCA mustang outlaw class these cars rarely ever pit for more anything more than tires and fuel.why do i need a full car diagnostic on my laptop to know if my race car is running properly.ironically the company you love so much LOTUS shares these same philosophies in racing with the Americans.winning is about how well your racecar is engineered and nothing else.
@Janusha Thank you for PROVING my point.1 the LOGIC of lemans racing escapes europeans.2.LMP stands for lemans prototype i could be mistaken how well has those wins fared for AUDI these days.ill admit the r18 is the pinnacle of racing engineering but its just overengineering if it cant be homologated into where roadcars.id like to give credit to the AUDI APOLLO FOR its achievements at the ring but quattro technology was pioneered by Roland gumpert in WRC group b and the R18 IS RWD.
lol im a shark i love to debate especially when i know im getting to them i love to see the cracks in there armor and aim for it this guy is just to easy.when i was a kid i had a bed thats was made out of a real 1969 porsche 911.i love all cars thats why i learn and appreciate the history of all makes and models of vehicles.
Another RECORD has been broken by dodge 3 Viper American Club Racers went to the nurburgring and pulled off a huge victory 7:12:13 that's the 4th fastest production car to ever run the ring.(I don't acknowledge radicals as a real cars so I feel the dodge is 2nd but anyway)it almost took down the $600,000 audi apollo.
You people still dotn get it do you. Haha. victory against who? Who was it racing.
And while on the topic of racing. It runs racecar times because its a racecar with numberplates run with a full dodge factory backed race crew. Its called a "publicity stunt" no more, no less.
@Janusha you act like its easy to knock off a Porsche GT2rs.Porsche is the gold standard all sports cars are judged by it beat possibly Toyota's finest work the LFA and was only a fraction of a sec off a carbon fiber racecar 600,000-1,000,000$ Audi Apollo.the viper is an old aluminum tub with a truck motor in front and a surfboard in back for downforce.its a muclecar that can out finesse European halo cars.
Janusha sound to me like ur a hater of American cars I will b honest weather or not it's a kit type car or not honestly who gives a fuck it's a real car and it's the fastest bottom line so git a life

The version before... was based on a Lamborghini Diablo replica kit. So it had exactly the proportions of a 90s Lamborghini except for its good looks.

No crashtesting, no emmissions, no government approval, no nothing. THIS is where you find american "supercars" at the moment. Kit-cars with every part taken out of other, already existing cars. I came out with sub 13s because:
15.1s is best aero with 1287hp, window grille open so more drag
14.5s is downhill with 1183hp, window grille closed
About -1s for increased Hp and less drag
+ 0.5s a shift from 2nd to 7th ( assuming 200mph in 7th tuatara) , = 2.5s or 2.0s in a manual gearbox. Some tuatara will have dual clutch , shift time negligible, based on customer choice. And SSC will definately test the DC for their record.
15.1s- 1s - 2.5s = 12.6s
ASSHOLELA 2 months ago
@ASSHOLELA If the Tuatara can deliver as promised it will certainly be fastest anyway!HOW fast it will be, can until we have the facts, as best just be a, qualified guess. I think we all have to wait and see ;)
ATsUduobleT 2 months ago
@ATsUduobleT
Does anybody really care how fast ? These speeds are entirely theoretical as nobody will ever attempt it in reality. Which is why they can just put any damn number.
Janusha 2 months ago
@Janusha Yeah you're absolutely right. Anyhow people will always be interested in who is the fastest, the strongest, tallest, fatest, lowest and so on! It's a part of human nature I think. It's not very useful for anyone to be the strongest or the fastest man on earth either. People will always compete and that's probably why world looks like it does...or?
ATsUduobleT 2 months ago
@ATsUduobleT
Janusha 2 months ago

ASSHOLELA 2 months ago in playlist supercars
ATsUduobleT 2 months ago
@ATsUduobleT
f1 cars have very poor highe end accel, they top out at about 280kmh for HDF, anyways, by 280kmh their acceleration is slower than the veyron SS , Agera And Ultimate Aero.
ASSHOLELA 2 months ago
@ASSHOLELA
Both Koenigsegg and Bugatti have announced they are finished and done with speed records so yeah... It will be the only car actually trying to break these records. None of that stops it from being a kit car tho. These speeds and times of yours is pure speculation. Im more interrested in if they can actually make a good car.
Janusha 2 months ago
@ASSHOLELA What do you think about longitudinal friction on the tires i hear at 250+MPH any abnormality aerodynamically or from road friction can drastically effect top end where there is little torque left.im hoping that ssc can find a faster road than the one they used in texas.love your videos BTW
tingokuman 2 months ago
@tingokuman
rolling resistance causes about 5% of the drag losses of the car, but that percentage is constant independent of top speed. This is responsible for the 273mph theoretical top speed of the SSC as opposed to the 290mph or so TheOfficialKC has calculated so using basic aero equations.
ASSHOLELA 2 months ago
@ASSHOLELA interesting i always assumed longituinal friction increased with downforce but like you said since its always there it doesnt matter.what i do know is co E will play a huge part in SSCs sucess.there rumors floating everywhere about konigsegg topping the SS VEYRON.i haven't seen a video or any substantial proof.are you an engineer do you work in the automotive industry.

@ASSHOLELA
Tell me.. why bother with these ridiculous numbers ? NONE of these cars will ever do what you are talking about. Who ever saw a SSC Aero do anything at all since they went fast ONCE in 2007. Regardless of unrealistic top speeds that are only possible with a full factory tech crew standing by with laptops and tools setting the car up and police blocking off the streets for 20 miles. Will the actual CAR be any better than the homebuilt SSC Aero or just another silly kit-car.
Janusha 2 months ago
@Janusha
I wonder why do you call SSC a kit car. None of a mfr car is a kt car in my opinion. Kit cars are those which hobbyists build for themselves, selling to others for "social" reasons not legally binding and have absoluteley no warranty at all for their products.
ASSHOLELA 2 months ago
red victor 1 is a perfect example of a kit car
ASSHOLELA 2 months ago

whoever saw a koenigsegg CCXR trevita do anything at all? The point is these cars are so rare, they are even rarer than mclaren f1s that hardly anyone gets any exposure to them save for SSC themselves and owners who keeps to themselves.There are no excess for press to test.
ASSHOLELA 2 months ago
@ASSHOLELA
Whether or not the SSC Aero is a kit-car isnt up to opinion. Any production car MUST have 3 things. I highly doubt they have any of this. An EPA certificate of emissions systems compliance, a verification of OBD II strategy acceptance, a certificate from CARB if you are selling cars in CA, NY, NJ, VT, MA, MI, CT, or RI For company liability and owner insurance rates, there are two other things that it SHOULD have: Verification and compliance testing to FMVSS standards by independent-
Janusha 2 months ago
- testing facilities, car "crashworthiness" assessment by the IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety). NCAP (New Car Assessment Program) performed by NHTSA would be a bonus, but probably not likely for the 16 cars so far made by SCC. And finally...it must be "in production".
That is components from production tooling, assembled either on a line or compartments, and then legally sold to customers with registered VIN numbers. If it isn't, you are just another wisearse building kit-cars.
Janusha 2 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
Nothing wrong with kit-cars/component cars as long as they are honest about not building fully certified production vehicles.
Janusha 2 months ago
Janusha 2 months ago
Sorry for making an essay here.. But you should perhaps know that SSCs business previous to the SSC Aero, was to build replica kits. They used their very own Lamborghini replica kit as base for their SSC Aero. which is why its got the exact proportions of a 90s Diablo exept its good looks. The few reviewers that have tested this thing, say its pointless, uncontrollable and smells of glue. One reviewer said it had all the luxury of a Chinese Rickshaw. They werent very impressed.
Janusha 2 months ago
@Janusha
this is all very technical and all, but where is the source of all this? Care to quote me?
i dont know if SSC meets all the criteria, but if Guiness certifies it as the fastest production car in 2007, it is bound to meet the requirements that guiness stipulates.
ASSHOLELA 2 months ago
@ASSHOLELA
Janusha 2 months ago
Saleen S7, Mosler, Hell even the Ford GT was a mix of other cars. Ofcourse they will tell you the Ford GT is all american but it was designed by engineers from Aston Martin and Lotus. Chassis and handling were done by Lotus, gearbox, drivetrain were picked out of old Jaguars and Astons. British bodywork, British Recaro interior, german wheels, italian brakes, steering out of a German Ford Focus. Just about the only thing american was the engine. Picked out of a truck.
Janusha 2 months ago
well, unless you are a professor in law you've got to quote me a source about all this stipulations.
ASSHOLELA 2 months ago
@ASSHOLELA
The Chevvy Camaro SS is a redressed Australian Holden pickup with a Corvette-
Janusha 2 months ago
Janusha 2 months ago
Its all fine that SSC and america is trying.. But this is amateur league compared to the real thing. Supercars dont cut corners. Bugatti forexample had to come up with a front that would withstand a bird strike at 250 mph. If they couldnt make that. Well, then the car cant do 250 mph.
Its elecronically limited to what every single part is built for. Forexample the tyres. While tuneshops and kit-car builders just grab parts out of other cars, sprinkle it with patriotism and shout big words.
Janusha 2 months ago
@Janusha
ASSHOLELA 2 months ago
@ASSHOLELA
Janusha 2 months ago
@Janusha
of course i can google each and every single stepping stone.
But there must be a source of leglislature somewhere compiling them all totegther saying that "Unless all these criteria is satisfied, this car is not considered production" or something like that.
ASSHOLELA 2 months ago
@ASSHOLELA
Otherwise, how are we going to be sure if its not a continuum? That passing each test makes a car more "production" and less kit car characteristics? And how are we going to know that this is a cold and hard law an dnot merely a guideline?
ASSHOLELA 2 months ago
@ASSHOLELA
Janusha 2 months ago
The strict rules by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for motor vehicles make it really difficult and expensive to put a new car to market. Often at considerable expense to type-certify a vehicle for the US market. Upward to 2 million dollars pr model. So to sell a Koenigsegg forexample in USA would cost FIRST 2 million in certification, then the price of the car. This explains why small manufacturers in USA use parts out of other cars that already are approved.
Janusha 2 months ago
The lack of investment in supercars in USA means they have a fraction of the budgets Euro performance cars enjoy. SSC sold 14 cars. Saleen S7, Mosler, and thats the entire list. Sold around 30-40 cars to die-hard enthusiasts and went bankrupt. NHTSA and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations criminalise the possession of a vehicle not meeting U.S. standards. Somehow, however these rules dont seem to apply to kit-cars. This grey-area is where I really cant find any documentation.
Janusha 2 months ago
@Janusha
good that means that that law is not known to be explicitly defined, which also means that ssc, saleen , henessey and all the american kit cars can get their liscensce plates and not be arrested. Sure, it may not pass certain QC guidelines, so long as they're legal and can be driven is good enough for us.
ASSHOLELA 2 months ago
@ASSHOLELA
Most of which are made especially difficult inorder to discurrage niche producers from starting up-
Janusha 2 months ago
-and to make it hard for imported cars to dominate the american market. The rules dont seem to apply to domestic products to the same extent.
/en.wikipedia.o r g/wiki/United_States_Department_of_Transportation
Here is a comprehensive list. Still, none of this prevents SSC from being a kit-car compared to the real thing and its top speed claims, entirely theoretical. They DO not qualify as "production" vehicle and I cant say Ive ever actually seen them mentioned in the book of records.
Janusha 2 months ago
Go to Guiness Book of Records, search for SSC Aero and you get 0 hits. No mention of them whatsoever.

this guy i tell ya corvettes are purchased worldwide and respected in many countries.there are a plethora of german race teams that use corvettes.as there race cars.german based zakspeed racing uses vipers and one of there drivers actually set the former dodge viper record at the nuburgring.another german set the new one
tingokuman 3 months ago
Our old viper made from an aluminum tub chassis with a truck motor massaged by lamborghini has all but crushed in my opinion the greatest track car ever built the GT2RS.the Germans are acting very nonchalantly about this but rumor has it porsche is quite furious about recent laptimes by non porsche cars on a track they basically built there company on.there taking there intelligent engineering to lemans.where America has been quite successful to finish delopment on the 918 based GT1 SUPERCAR.
tingokuman 3 months ago
@tingokuman
Haha you people and your myths.
Janusha 3 months ago
@Janusha what are you going to to when an italian/american VIPER injected with ferrari dna runs down the ring in the low 7mins high 6mins along side of the 1360.777 kg C7 stingray corvette hybrid with 700hp the seats and dash panels will be made of carbon and soybeans with an pseudo ipad as a command center.no F1 garbage no 100,000eu hand crafted leather and exotic wood to weight it down just pure sports car.I tell ya this nothing from europe will touch them outside of porsche
tingokuman 3 months ago
@tingokuman
Janusha 3 months ago
@Janusha What's not to get patriotic over once again you confuse engineering with design asthetics.it will definitely have an Italian flair never the less it will be Chrysler based brute force muclecar that can out finesse the great ones same formula as the last one.did we already forget the old one was a dodge with a ram truck engine massaged by lamborghini same formula.this will also be 1350-1450kg of American thunder backed with lemans winning engineering under its belt.shes aged quite well

V8Supercar1 4 months ago
@StanOfGB
Janusha 4 months ago
@Janusha Seriously, here's the last thing I'm going to tell you. How many millions of euros did VW spend on the development of the veyron? maybe 200 million euros or more? The chief of Bugatti said himself that the main goal of the veyron was to be the fastest, so don't start to tell me about the interior and stuff. Then along came a little "kit car" as you call it and it beat the veyrons top speed at a fraction of the cost. Who's more intelligent now? They did it once they can do it again. Bye.
StanOfGB 4 months ago
@StanOfGB
Janusha 4 months ago
700 000 dollars for a kit-car. Or how about a Stile Bertone. A redressed Corvette ZR1 for 2 million dollars. Or how about a Hennessey Venom GT for 1,5 million. Which is a modded Lotus built in britain with a 1200 hp engine that they also didnt make. Why so provoked about the price of a Bugatti when your kit-cars cost more. If European supercars were priced wrong, nobody would buy them and they would all go bankrupt... Like american cars do. SSC sold LESS than 15 cars in 5 years. Amateur league !
Janusha 4 months ago
@Janusha SSC tuatara is $997,000, it's not a kit car and the bugatti veyron supersport costs $1.8million

By no means am I trying to say vipers sell Like crazy oversees my point is they are sold and respected in places that are very discerning when it comes to sportscars like Corvettes an vipers.I could care less what sells in Europe.I do have a newfound interest at how we win at your tracks and I'm not alone.America has discovered the nurburgring when patriotic state like Texas sends vipers outside of the US to set records on a track the avg American would struggle to spell we have taken notice.
tingokuman 4 months ago
@tingokuman
Janusha 4 months ago
@Janusha The viper didnt die its at chrysler proving grounds as we speak it has had another injection of italian dna fiat spa has worked wonders with chrysler.the 23year old dodge viper can beat an italia 458 at most tracks now and fiat spa owns ferrari what will happen when a fiat viper touches said nurburgring you think you hate american cars now wait till one hits a sub 7:00 min mark.the C7 is already testing in michigan.the GREAT CARROL SHELBY is even tuning his 620hp 2014 gt500 at the ring
tingokuman 4 months ago
@tingokuman
Janusha 4 months ago
According to the Chrysler bankruptcy documents the Viper brand had just 16 million earnings at the time when Chrysler was taken over by Fiat. Thats not enough money to justify research and development of a new model. The engine had to go due to old age and emissions. Fiat considered putting a Ferrari engine into it and letting the Ferrari crew modernise it but that would kill the whole "bang for the buck" thing and it would no longer appeal to americans. Much like a Harley with a Porsche engine.
Janusha 4 months ago
What Corvette and Viper has both announced is that their next models WONT enter the "already crowded" supercar world to compete with Ferrari, Lambo, Mclaren. Instead they are approaching their LeMans race teams to erase the distinction between racecar and roadcar. Which is probably the way to go for their brand identities given their budgets. Just like the Viper ACR its racecar fast because its a racecar and its a hell of alot cheaper than the research and development that goes into a supercar.
Janusha 4 months ago
@Janusha Viper died, Corvette and Cadillac STILL dont sell abroad. <<<<<<<<<< COPIED AND PASTED FROM WHAT YOU TYPED.not only is fiat spa not changing the 8.4 there going to incorporate it into a strange looking alfa.the viper is not a mass produced supercar like a corvette its has a more occult following.so it doesnt have to be scrutinized.why make a 500,000$ viper when the 100,000$ one beats up on 1,000,000$ european halo cars.so we can have some fancy wood and handcrafted leather.LMAO
tingokuman 4 months ago
@Janusha what you seem to forget is YES its a crowded supercar market but in all things great its not crowded at the top of the food chain where americas few supercars exist.america has become interested in corners which is a scary thought for the european markets.since we have already dominated lemans decades ago.you guys seem to forget where most of your racing technology comes from.
tingokuman 4 months ago
@tingokuman
Janusha 4 months ago
Its funny that you think Fiat will continue using the Vipers engine... For what? You are just making shit up. Occult following... christ.. Why make a Viper at all if nobody buys it?
You can easily buy a 50 million dollar mansion by the sea, designer shoes and jewlery. Shit. you can buy a cellphone for 100 000 dollars. The stereo in a Veyron costs more than a Corvette. You just cant see the market for upper quality cars because america dont make them. Therefore they are wrong and "flawed"
Janusha 4 months ago
@Janusha as usual you keep missing the point fiat is an italian company they respect the viper.they know there own handy work.the viper has italian dna it doesnt even sound american dispite its looks.halo cars arent for mass production they show the direction of your company and what your capable of.Dodge C.E.O Ralph Gilles has already pulled the trigger on the new viper a year ago.just google 2013 dodge viper its hiding in plain sight.it could keep its 8.4 or it could be a forced induction 6.4.
tingokuman 4 months ago
@Janusha you wacky europeans with all your add ons when are you going to realize less is more when it comes to a sportscar you dont need a 100,000$ interior to gofast.we already proved this at the nuburgring.face it your cars are getting long in the tooth because F1 isnt evolving as much as it used to.look out out of your front door europe is not paved with lamborghinis most people drive little shit boxes with 3 and 4 cylinder motors.a long boring parade of little clown cars.
tingokuman 4 months ago
What you people seem to completely not understand is that its not just hypercars and supercars for the rich america DONT make. Its also Also GT cars, sports saloons, sporty SUVs, Hatchbacks, Hothatches, traditional sportscars, superminis and certainly no executives. Infact no upper market cars at all. Here if I want a cheap, great looking sportscar, I have many choices. Lotus, entry level Porsche, Caterham, MX5, RX8, Speedster. Citroen DS3. If I want a sporty saloon there are all kinds of -
Janusha 4 months ago
Janusha 4 months ago
@Janusha ill bet there are a wide variety of fine european cars for you to chose from however like I said before europe is paved with fiats Citroëns smartcars minis and various Japanese and Korean shitboxes with 100hp at best.I don't care what you people drive I care about American record breaking cars remember this video is about a small American company with 2 geniuses working together to take down the arguably europes finest car the veyron and its top speed record.but still have a warrany
tingokuman 4 months ago
@Janusha such choices you say your obviously missing the point of a sportscar you seem to think a sports car has to look like your living room inside and the sports comes 2nd NO that would be a luxury car.as I've stated before your racing programs namely F1 just isn't what it used to be the mclaren one of the most feared F1 cars could not even build a roadcar that cant even beat our bargain Z06 at any track.our middle grade 47,000$us camaro ZL1 has taken down the Gt3 at the ring ethic a 7:43.
tingokuman 4 months ago
@tingokuman
Janusha 4 months ago
People are talking about the Mclaren MP4-12c Ring time now. 7-24 or whatever. Which is slower than the Corvettes and Vipers right... While the whole world knows the Mclaren is a far better car. So why is it "slower" then ? Because they ran an actual car without a full race crew and modifications like the americans always do. Or will you tell me next how Corvettes and Vipers are better than Mclaren ? hahaha.. You people. Maybe its time to stop claiming bullshit.
Janusha 4 months ago
@Janusha it doesn't take a genius to make a production car with a co E of a fish hahahahaha they already beat Europes finest engineers in the auto industry once they didn't have a silky smooth track like Eri lessen to set there record on and to this day is still faster than a regular veyron the worlds finest engineers had to redesign there masterpiece of 23years in R&D just to beat the SSC which the whole company only 4 years old.you wacky euros with your inferiority complexes quite amusing.
tingokuman 4 months ago
@tingokuman
Janusha 4 months ago
@Janusha obviously a $30,000 mustang will not compete with a veyron but a $100,000 viper will on any track because while the veyron was overengineered for 23years without ever winning a race the viper was winning lemans.sadly for you our 70,000$ mustangs will soon over take the overengineered veyron at the track too.you wacky euros are always trying to reinvent the wheel.you havent even sent anyone to space yet.quite commical have a look down your street its a bunch of 100hp mini coopers.
tingokuman 4 months ago
@Janusha of course your tired of hearing about nurburgring laps.since all you talk about is luxury cars on sportscar videos.well maybe you should leave your comments in Mercedes-Benz bentley videos but that wouldn't be as entertaining as humiliating yourself here on American sportscar videos.to each is own the nurburgring is here to stay and Fia rules and lemans has developed our cars into fearsome track monsters.while F1 has gone soft and stale you people need to get it together
tingokuman 4 months ago
@tingokuman woooah, your the one missing the point. the veyron and all that, thats an upscale sports car. those cars arent exclusively made for the track. the gumpert apollo speed IS exclusively made for the track (like the viper) and beats it round the ring by a second. there. want lap times? there it is. and come on..lets get real here..american cars are complete garbage. giant ohv v8. never changed. just the same thing. thats not record breaking.
superchargedAMG 3 months ago
@superchargedAMG lol you want to talk about veyrons goto a veyron video.SSC has already sent Volkswagen to the drawing board once.volkswagen pulled the plug on the veyron and if its going to stand a chance against this a private owner will have to pull it off but that's not a production car now is it.the million dollar Apollo sport is only 2tenths of a sec of a 23year old dodge.LOL the European sports car market is running for there lives what if America decided to send a 1,000,000$ C6R
tingokuman 3 months ago
@tingokuman i love how you fuckers always bring up price, yet, price is not performance; if you want to talk price, go on a kia forum. the bugatti veyron, which was introduced in 2005, is a stupid comparison to make to the ssc. the upcoming renissance will be a fair comparison.
superchargedAMG 3 months ago
@superchargedAMG a stupid comparison ????? WTF are you talking about you ever head of a veyron ss.Volkswagen knows who SSC is they made a 2million dollar veyron just to take there crown back from a 4year old COMPANY what are they going to do now Hennessy motorsports USA is going for the crown too.
tingokuman 3 months ago
@tingokuman
Janusha 3 months ago
As for your SSC Aero. Its the worlds most overhyped kit-car that failed to catch a public appeal and died. They claim wooooorld speed record for "production" cars but was never a production car. Which ever way you like to turn it inorder to feel better about america, its still a kit-car.
Janusha 3 months ago
@Janusha
you are an idiot sir , ssc aero was a production car also it held world speed record for 4 years with 6 L V8 TT engine , Bugatti need 16 cylinders and 4 turbos to top ssc only by 10 miles
Dominator5515 2 months ago
@Dominator5515
What part of "kit-car" is hard for you to understand ? Number of cylinders is as important for top speed as number of cupholders. Its all good that america tries to make something special... But dont get amateur league confused with the real thing.
Janusha 2 months ago
@Janusha LOL wacky euros are at it again.so the standard non modified veyron lost to an SSC AERO KIT CAR LOL you realize bugatti has been working on the veyron since the early 90s and lost there speed crown to a company that makes kitcars
tingokuman 3 months ago
@tingokuman
Janusha 3 months ago
In USA anyone can weld a frame in their own garage, buy a Harley engine, handlebars, wheels. brakes, put numberplates on it and call it a Harley, Trike, Chopper, whatever. No crash testing, no emissions, no production tooling, nothing is required. This is where you find americas supercar attempts. Saleen, Mosler, SSC Aero and whops... Thats the entire list. How these things are road legal is a mystery to me.
This attitude towards supercars is why america will never establish their own brands.
Janusha 3 months ago
@Janusha LOL the Bugatti EB110 was a complete and utter FAILURE.too complex too ugly and Zero demand most of these cars were sold at a fraction of what it cost to built them.HEY thats kinda the same story with the veyron great buisness decisions as usual and it cant beat an american club racer viper on the nurburgring.i highly doubt it will even get close to a 100,000$ Z06.all that effort to make a car thats slower on a track.good job europe ERRRR FAIL.the tuatara has already outsold the eb110
tingokuman 3 months ago
@Janusha Where do you get this kit car thing at JASON CASTRIOTA DOES NOT MAKE KITCARS.he makes minimalist low co efficient cars thats yield higher speeds without increasing hp.dont take my word for it im just a dum ol american.ask BERTONE,FERRARI,FIAT SPA,LANCIA,MASERARTI and SAAB,i could be mistaken how many super cars has norway built i have no clue ive seen some despicable Aetek Fyk from your neck or the woods.our sports cars have even awaken porsche AG theres a rumored LEMANS/PRODUCTION GT1
tingokuman 3 months ago
@tingokuman
Janusha 3 months ago
Jason Castriota is a god among men because he is a Italian / american that that worked at Pininfarina doing designs for the actual supercar industry in Italy. Im sure that makes him very special... In america.
As for your "nurburgring records" You know as well as me those runs were done with full factory backed race crews in modified cars. A media stunt at best. This idea that the Ring is some kind of international "benchmark" where we all go to see whats best, is an all american myth.
Janusha 3 months ago
@Janusha You confuse Aesthetics with aerodynamics and designers with engineers.JASON CASTRIOTA is a designer not an engineer he doesn't have to do anything to a chassis or a powertrain.bertone,lancia,ferrari,fiat ag,maserati and saab.use Jason castriotas expertise in aerodynamics to create more efficient designs that's cheat on mothernature and bear less strain on said powertrains.if a standard SSC AERO took down a 23year old bugatti what would the same car with a barracudas coefficient do
tingokuman 3 months ago
Yea veyrons are sold at 1.5mill eu and depriciate to a mere 960,000eu according to F.A. AUTOMOBILE LOL.YOU europeans you all drive tiny clown cars with 1.3 liter powerplants what is the point of a veyron on your old tiny roads.anyways if nobody has noticed the nuburgring why has the former king of the ring (PORSCHE) decide to get back into LEMANS RACING.ill tell you why lemans wins translates into production cars that stand on par with the best like the CORVETTE AND VIPER.porsche got it right
tingokuman 3 months ago
@tingokuman
Janusha 3 months ago
Lambo, Ferrari, Aston, Lotus and Porsche have all made more expensive cars than the Veyron lately and they arent exactly having problems selling them.
Americans on the other hand are still busy with their 1-2 kit-cars and their record chasing. The whole business is weird. It seems more important to impress flagwaving fools while forgetting that they dont actually build or sell any cars. You are forgetting that, inspite of silly records, both the Viper and SSC died because nobody bought one.
Janusha 3 months ago
@Janusha It doesn't seem you understand the LOGIC behind lemans racing.other than LMP class our cars use production based chassis,powertrain our GT2 C6R has won 7x at lemans with parts sourced from the production car the C6 like most Europeans.I realize this simplistic form of homolagation escapes you which is why you people worship F1.Porsche needs to stay at the top of the food chain.porsche is a well respected brand in the US.it would be detrimental to porsche as a lesser car than a domestic.
tingokuman 3 months ago
@tingokuman
Janusha 3 months ago

@tingokuman
