Erik, Eric Lowen has ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), not cancer. He was diagnosed in 2004, and had to retire from performing in 2009. He stays active on Facebook and is happily married and enjoying watching his children grow up.

@ErickRichardson He's actually my Aunt Wendy's friend from college. I went to his concert this summer which was held at my Aunt's dog training farm in Westport,NY. Dan's singing partner,Eric Lowen, wasn't at the concert because he has cancer. Dan made a very nice slideshow for Eric. Dan Navarro is a very nice man.
