Shes wrong. Bul= Fire Gogi=meat therefore bulgogi=firemeat. And Bulgogi IS NOT a BBQ. If it does not make your eyes water from heat, then you made it wrong. If you don't like spicy foods, then I would suggest eating sometyhing other than bulgogi.
@KingSparta2 I live in South Korea man. I'm from Punsan and I am not wrong. I am telling you that you are wrong. Go to a cherry boy restraunt they stir fry bulgogi. It is not a BBQ. BBQ is a english term used for a cooking method of Korean stir fry. We dont live in America. Any restraunt here barely ever marinates chicken, they usually have a 1 gallon jug of premixed seasoning and liquid, that they add to the stir fry while it is cooking. (carrots, soy, vinegars, onions, spice).
I have been to Punsan. Yes We Call It Korean BBQ So To Americans, Guess What, It's Korean BBQ, And So Do Korean Companies Selling There Bulgogi marinade Sauce Here. It is nothing to jump up and down about. It is a great korean dish regardless.
Beef Meat?? what in the world is beef meat? Make sure your translation is right before you post a video. Bul means fire! Gogi means meat! Also looking like a piece of crap dosen't help much. Expert Village is fail, you all fail!!
I can't believe how Expert Village can allow someone who is obviously not an expert on Korean Cuisine show this video. Bulgogi translates as "firemeat." She also needs to look a little more presentable, rather than sloppy.
Bul means fire and gogi means meat. This is because the meat was cooked over an open fire or coals before Koreans had stoves or restaraunt(sp?). There are many different kinds of bul gogies such as pork or chicken. I don't think it was necessary for someone to be so nasty informing you. I bet you know a lot of things that dan (O= butt hole)park doesn't know.
Horrible instructions to follow since video is in pieces... there used to be 1 that was really good and got deleted. BTW bulgogi is made differently than Kimchi!!!!
i don't know why your got thumbs down when you're 100% correct. hey everybody just because some 2nd generation Asian tells you something about cuisine don't necessarily make it so! BULGOGI MEANS FIRE MEAT, NOT BEEF MEAT.
U need to change the title of this vid because u just gave an explanation of what bulgogi is and one ingredient. Meat.

I Do Agree Koreans Do Tend To Like There Food Spiced Up A Bit.
Some Recipes For Bulgogi Also Use Fermented Hot Pepper Paste Called "Gochujang"
I Keep Some In My Fridge, And Love It.
