  • I see a Pod in the back...What do you like about that thing? I'm just curious because I always see metal players use it lol

  • It works for any genre!

I tweaked a preset called "Spinal Puppet" that is now my main Metal Tone.

I have the Pod xt and the newer POD X3.

Personally I find the best tones in the XT, but the FX in the X3 are insane.

I still use the X3 for bass and acoustic guitar and it does a decent job---much better than the Behringer crap.

I use direct recording as to not cause noise---i used to use a (line out) on my rack gear, or (mic the cabinet) in the day, but neither option sounded as CLEAR as the PODxt.

  • I'm reposting on Facebook, MySpace. I think I'm addicted to this, Kami. Some addictions are GOOD!

  • You got the right kind of addiction! lol

  • quick question, was the dimarzio cliplock supposed to come with screws and bushings? cus i received mine today from ups and it only came with the strap

  • The strap, when purchased new, comes connected to a cardboard and plastic wall hanger. Inside the cover encasing it has the cliplock ends and a little plastic bag taped up with 4 screws, plastic bushings and some black metal insert, if you don't like the chrome inserts on the strap itself.

  • alrighty thanks man, awesome playing btw :)

  • @sonicbondage Does it scratch the finish (especially on the horn)? I had one on my RG and after a while, it did. It could probably be the way I put it back in the case too. I don't even want to think about putting one on my Jackson (even though it was bought used but in good shape).

  • @jess1541

It does dull the finish if you keep squeezing it in a case with the strap attached. I've been unclipping it and finding the best place to position the part that remains on the guitar and it's all good.

  • @sonicbondage I do remove the strap when I place it into the case. Sometimes when I forget to put the strap back on (as I usually sit on my bed when I practice), the strap ends scratch the finish.

  • bad ass man

  • I LOVE this, I can't stop listening to it!!!

Kami aka WhamBamKam my account got deleted or spammed etc.

  • Thanks Kami!

I was wondering where your YT account went.

  • awesome dude...i got one question...is the cliplock strap as good as people say they are?

  • I love those straps!

It's basically a seat belt for your axe.

The screws that come with it are beefy and extra long too.

  • cool thanks a lot...ill buy one now that i got some positive feedback about them

  • the sound is pretty great for youtube... see you use line 6 pod for this? and i like your phrasing ;)

  • PODxt...running Stereo direct into my recording software. I later lined up the video and pulled off the crappy camcorder audio! lol

  • You remind me of someone I used to know called Greyham.

  • This just shows you don't have to be super fast to kick ass

    Two Thumbs up Aaron

  • i order to be able to play good slow stuff you have to have mastered speed in my opinion

  • Very catchy bro and nice little tapping tid bit at the end

  • I can't get enough of it! It's more than catchy, it makes me want to dance, any song that does that is quality.

  • It makes me happy to know my solo inspires joy in others. That in itself reabsorbs back into my fragile musician psyche and keeps me going!

After all, many of us out here online do this without ever seeing a penny. Joy is our only payoff! ;)

  • Aaron if you could get one CD out (I told Justin if I ever get rich I'm creating record label & recording studio if he decides to be in a band), I would one of the 1st to buy, of course buy many as gifts, as you don't "tour" there's no income there, so sadly, you're right but I know if you produced a CD it would catch on, I help promote a few bands they owe me you know, I helped promote a metal band in Italy even did a t-shirt for them, I could promote it online to the MAX, & pay my son to help

  • I know alot of musicans are losing $ from pirating, I will NEVER burn a CD I always buy the CD, or download legit from I-Tunes, it's your bread & butter! I see these metal bands 5 bands play a $12 show, even touring sometimes there's little revenue. I've read a few musician autobiographies have learned alot, they have to spen almost evey waking hour devoted to their craft! Even the ones who become millionaires, they EARNED it! HOURS in the studio for a few tracks? OUCH! 52 concerts in 60 days...

  • Well not oh, I call it a barter system. I'll post your bulletins if you add this band etc. worked great! Then created the abuse memorial and got very busy online. But I will CONTINUE to promote your music always! Cause you're such a cool guy, you deserve it!

  • Once I get caught up on the cable TV + Film tracks, I'm going hardcore into making Metal tunes for a CD. At least a Demo to use in order to form a band that will learn the material. Then get out there and play. If I am successful, I will go into a real studio + get a full band experience on CD, but right now that's just too damn expensive to do until there's money coming in.

Hard to convince a bunch of musicians to play your originals + only have the money go into a bank for the band! lol

  • not bad...for a lefty.

haha just kidding that was badass. i especially loved the ending lick XD

  • Thanks man!

I figured you gotta end strong so I worked on that first. lol

I blame listening to Marty Friedman for the outside feel! lol

    Always loved the exotic stuff!

  • Who's your camera'man'? I'm surprised you 'home' video'd it.

  • Camera Woman is Patti!

I lost my tripod footage from a DVD disc error on my camcorder and i had her quickly record me...try to liven up the shot, as most guys just sit still.

  • And I got the Dream Theater Backing tracks Today! Frigging awesome!
