@Purrete There are a lot of extra musicians on the stage - I don't see why they had the other guitarist play the second half of the solo because he wasn't anywhere as good as Gilmour. Nick Mason looks spaced out and Gilmour has that goofy expression on his face. It was interesting to see the tamborine player smacking the symbols with the tamborine at 5:25 and 5:30. Ouch!

It does look a lot like Gilmore, but is fatter and has a different face. Because of the extensive use of double-tracking and all that, Pink Floyd had to have extra musicians to play live. To achieve studio like sound. Dave is in the back near Mason. He is playing rythym guitar during the solo. This is the only solo he does not do. Reasons, I don't know.

So, when it came to this, they had to have extra musicians to overcome the layered and tracked feeling of the Wall. But, as you said, it is worth it.
