Fantastic. One of my biggest problems playing the original Snake Eater was the old-MGS-style top-down controls, which just made it hard to really see the world around you so I always felt detached from the experience. This style of gameplay is exactly what Snake eater needed.

I'm very disappointed that they left out Duel Mode, Snake vs Monkey, Metal Gear Online and Secret Theater (although I care more about the first 2). Surely they could have packed everything from the Subsistence version into the Blu-Ray! Also for MGS2, they omitted the skateboard minigame. What. The. Fuck!? Oh well at least MGS3 is now 60FPS.

It contains pretty much everything MGS2: Substance ever had, but not the skateboarding, I guess that will stay on the PS2 forever.

MGS3 has the camera mode and a few extras, but not the other bonus content.

I thought that Mgs2 and 3 would be like peace walker or mgs4, in the way that there would be over the shoulder shooting and crouch running, and not only that but I thought it would be remade like twin snakes, to me with this game play and graphics its looks more like a port to ps3 then an actual HD remake.

Look at twin snakes they didnt just port ps1 metal gear to game cube, they made it as if it didnt exist before, brand new to game cube, so what the hell why does it look like a port

Most likely 39.99$ because the game collections i bought were the sly cooper collection, god of war collection and the tomb raider collection and they all costed 39.99$ each. But seeing that its in HD then it might be 49.99. Still a great price because you get three games in one bundle!

KONAMI -- are you kidding me... no Metal Gear Solid 1!? MGS1 is the most classic Metal Gear game, period, and is what revived this franchise from the grave and quickly made my top 10 best videogames list of all time. Without MGS1 this is half as exciting.

Not a fan of twin snakes. Didn't offer me the true experience I got playing mgs1. Voice acting was awful, no orginal soundtracks/zero emotion, over the top cutscenes and few dialogue changing. If they wanted to do a remake they should of done it right. The gameplay was not that bad, but not the mgs1 i played as a kid.

@sb50ct They probably didn't make an HD version of MGS since it can be played on the PS3 thanks to its backwards capability. I can understand how this is an issue for 360 owners, but MGS1 came out for the PlayStation and Microsoft getting the rights to get an HD edition of the classic is unlikely.

Following that logic, only MGS 2 would've been released in HD for 360 as 3 & Peace Walker were Playstation exclusive as well. & yet they still did =\ Has ZERO to do with that, its solely because it'd look like a mess even upscaled & it'd make more sense to just use Twin Snakes but Nintendo has the rights for it.

But of course, MGS 4 still manages to use the new audio in Twin Snakes over the old recording.

It maybe would've been nice to of seen an HD port of MGS: Twin Snakes as part of the collection, seeing as that more recent remake of the first game would've lent itself far better for an HD treatment considering it's graphically on par with MGS2, but I bet that would've caused some issues considering it was released on a Nintendo console.

U know, there's only 1 thing i don't like about this collection. I feel like they could of done a better job with Snake Eater, mostly because the Lip syncing in the HD version is just terrible. Other than that i love it. it's not something that ruins the game, but it kinda irritates me, i'm someone who enjoys all the little details in my games.

Kojima took what they had done and handed to a company called Platinum Games in Japan (I think) and they've turned it into something a bit more fast paced and actiony. It's now called Revengeance (awesome name).

Metal Gear Solid 3 is definitely my favorite in the series. The graphics were the most amazing thing seen on the PlayStation 2.
