  • Just amazing and quite beautiful. I tried years ago to get a Copeland whistle, was on waiting list but never happened. Your video gets me all interested again, now that I have time to practice.

  • beautifully played!

  • where's the D-hole?

  • Under my ring finger -- this video was actually mirrored.

  • Who made your whistle?

  • Very nice!

  • Something in your finger technique that is screaming drum core...

  • I was in drum corps, but I was a snare drummer.

  • Wow...that is truly magical...Tis like the sing'n of da angels dem selves!!! Rock on.

  • Very nice

  • Nice performance, one of my favorite tunes, i play it on guitar but i always think it sounds more haunting played on a penny whistle.

  • awesome!!

  • Darn fine job there friend! Its beautiful! Continue playing, as it was a blessing to listen to you play this tune flawlessly!

  • Well played, and this isn't really relevent, but

I've got to ask.. are you filming under

florescent lights? 'Cause I can't think what

else would be causing that disconcerting color-shift..

  • This was using my Logitech 5000 that had some color/brightness correction thing turned on under low light, so it was attempting correct as I moved (thus shifting shadows slightly). I've since figured out how to turn it off. ;p

  • I think its his camera trying to keep the white balance right, I say this cause its shifts when he moves. I could be wrong though.

  • You are correct there.

  • Very nice. The low whistle is so suited to slow airs. I now have one and will be posting a couple of tunes soon. Your videos are very encouraging!

  • very nice, did you get that copeland low off of ebay:) if you did, then it was from my friend.

  • I sure did -- the flute maker.

  • Well, technically, an 'Aire' is any melody. A 'Slow Aire' is a tune that's played veery slowly. Since there weren't any waltzes when this was written (and it's in 3/4) we can't call it that... some people have resorted to just calling the style planxty as they're all very similar. I thank you for the compliments, though! Copelands do have very flute-like sounds which a bit of chiff, which I'm loving.

  • Another haunting tune, well done.
