Nice! I have just made one out of an old bug zapper circuit with a home-made step up transformer connected to it through a spark gap.
It only outputs about 15kV as I rushed the transformers secondary windings a bit, so I might rewind a new one when I have time. Plus everything in the project box case is so tightly packed it was a big pain getting everything to fit nicely.
@FUNKYCILLER I find it pretty close to epic that no stun gun company has ever made one that has been less than deafeningly loud, then you make this one at home, and not only is it cooler looking, it's quieter!
nice one ive made mine out of a ignition coi, dimmer swith and a microwave oven capacitor, running on mains voltage supplied by an inverter and a 12v battery its big but it pumps out well over 300kv,wouldnt want to test it on anyone thats the problem,it zapped me through a flourecent light tube that wasnt even touching it mad stuff that electro trickery lol
You dont really need a circuit diagram, Its simply a inverter to voltage multiplier then to a trigger coil. If you dont know how to wire these togather into a circuit then you are probley not experienced enough to be screwing with HV in general.
How do you get to make the eletric travel in the air like that

Hey, nice.
You may post some pictures at ultra-voltageDOTcom
There are members who would love to see them and may be able to give you some tips.

great work! I want to figure out how to make one myself , I knew a "coil Pack" would come into play to get a continues arc.
