Everyone told me before I had kids that all my opinions would change WRONG! I always wanted to raise my kids to be respectful & courteous to others, learn patience & gratitude & everyone said "Well...you say that now but you just wait!" I am still angry with people who thought I had some crazy unrealistic expectations for my kids when in reality they were all just dicks hell bend on discouraging me! I don't want asshole kids but I'm not crazy either. I let my 6 month old watch Family Guy
I just told my kid to go watch TV so I finish watching this video. lol. gotta go get the boy some french fries. and i just rolled my eyes at him. lol.
My sister-in-law and her husband said all of this. Their son cried constantly as a baby, and he's still going through "terrible 2's" at age 3, By everything they said, I thought he'd be the next messiah and wouldn't do things like cry all the time or do normal mortal child stuff. Maybe he's acting and pretending to do normal baby stuff as not to offend the peasant, stupid children with his massive giftedness.
Oh man. I'm definitely guilty of being so sure of how I would parent and then throwing half of it out the window once my son got here. I'm just thankful I never told a parent what they should be doing because that's now a giant pet peeve of mine.
I was this naive...as a teenager. Once you reach your mid 20's, if you're still thinking that you're that much better than everyone else at something you've never done before, then you're not experienced enough at life to be a mother yet. Get some life-experiences under your belt, so you'll actually have something to teach your children, first.

I don't think anything is wrong with rolling your eyes at kid or not taking a shower.. and how do you know if you will be able to breastfeed for sure? Who says this?
@organicsab that's the point: easy to SAY these things are "bad" until you're actually in the situation and having to live it. then suddenly you realize raising a child isn't so black and white
HAHAHA! I remember being this naive! I think everything pretty much goes out the window when you have to deal with real life situations. Kids definately give you a reality check. I love you and your videos!
I had this fantasy too. << UPDATE! :D

Better yet, the old, "I will never use the television as a babysitter", lol. Don't you love these sanctimonius single people with no kids??
