I really can't see how anyone could comment about your lyrics being bad. Perhaps I am not as "sophisticated" as those who complained, but the lyrics seemed expertly done. Overall, don't put yourself down. Afterall, if you were merely average as you say, you wouldn't have a following requesting music like you do now.
