  • where did you get that red nova car at.. i must know thats the coolest..

  • Nice layout I would move it into the house not the shed the beautiful train deserves better

  • My previous layout was just that. Keep modeling and one day you can go broke like me buying the good shit.

P.S. it is true, you only get what you pay for :P

  • i think the cars are just find you do not have be a millioner to enjoy trains its for your own enjoyment no body elses that why i do not like clups there to picky if your happy with it that all that maters do no not worry about other peoaple what they think i like your layout its simple and fun layout

  • very nice job isee

are those the life like turnouts or atlas n are u using code83 and code100

  • ChessieSeaboardX; you have fitted a very sophisticated track plan inro a 4 X 8 foot space! And the sound effects and smooth running clearly show the advantages of DCC. Just keep on building & adding as you can.

  • A common statistic in modelrailroading is it will cost the average modeler 50-100 dollars per-square foot on their layout.

  • Wich decoder is in locos?

  • I made a horrible mistake. I layed the track when I should've put down a grassmat first. I feel so stupid

  • ouch! :D

  • did the same thing so i cut the mat but then i just redid the cut ghrass mat to turf

  • well thats a DUR DA DUR!!! moment

  • I think its a good layout! I am in the same boat - I too have a poor man's layout though I have dropped $500 on it so far, including table supplies. I have only old Tyco rolling stock that I had since I was a kid (late 80's) and some from swap meets. Love the Conrail hopper! I hope to get some sort of DCC set up, probably the EZ command as well. Hey, sometimes you just want to have fun and these things sure do deliver!

  • hi great video!!!! i have one question, does that locomotive have MU or trainline hoses? thanks

  • What DCC system do you have? Nice layout, and locomotives!

  • Bachmann EZ Command

  • i heard that system is crap

  • It works fine for me. Like I told the other guy a couple months ago if you read my description I call this my poor mans layout. The EZ command system was in my budget. There are some things I would like to change about the EZ command myself, but you get what you pay for. Thanks for you comment

  • yeah, I got an EZ Command controller for $5! NEW!

  • @ChessieSeaboardX

Can you please advise me some very basic train set for my nephew. reading your discussions, looks like you guys are experts and some tips will be helpful... Basic starter train set.. Please advise

  • Yes I know what it is like haveing a small layout for a wile I hade a 4x8 layout but now it's BIGER! I use a small room (calld "the train room") I have noteist that you have more locomotives then cars. And the DCC is so asome I got DCC for cristmas ;o keep up the good wark!

  • good!! Railroad!!

  • nice layout, check out my 4 by 8 layout its pretty good

  • i think the cars are the wrong scale.

  • You would be correct. If you read the info on this video I call it my "poor mans" HO layout. The wrong scale automobiles are one of the reasons why its a poor mans layout. Thanks for posting.

  • at about 0:53 what kind of truck depot is that?

  • It's an old Tyco loading dock

  • Hey, you have more than I do. All three of my engines are now burned out, and I have no decent place to put a mounted layout.

  • Very Nice!
