Believe it or not but Ian Flemming was completely outraged when Sean Connery was cast in the role. He considered him a complete utter goon. Actually Moore was the closest to they way Flemming wrote the character. A suave English gentleman. I liked Moore in LALD, MWGG, and SWLM. After that Bond films have never been the same.
