Wild pigs are fairly common throughout parts of the south. They are the descendants of escaped domestic pigs that have learned to live off the land. They can grow to very large sizes and in some areas have become major pests (I believe they can be shot on sight in Texas).
A lot of food in that big ol' boar, but given what pigs eat, I hope they cook it very well.

I agree with Alien though about the processing part. No way on earth I would eat that thing, especially if it really is wild. To be honest, it is WAY to fat IMHO. Feral Swine tend to be a LOT leaner. We see them in North Alabama too, and I have never seen one quite like that in my years of hunting.
