What was a originally frantic and manic song has been turned into a meandering, slow mess, the tone is completely wrong, the background guitar is boring and repetitive, the voice is anemic and frequently off-key, there is no emotion in the song, every verse sounds the same as the one before.

I've been a fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas for as long as I can remember. I LOVE the original score and I honestly think there is little to nothing that anyone could do to make it better. Danny Elfman is a genius. So the fact that this version doesn't live up to the standard of the original doesn't really surprise me.

While the original is SO much better, this version really isn't bad if you just count it as a completely different song.
