The first time I heard Youthanasia I wasn't really "open" to it, like some of my now favorite albums, but after listening to it once I kinda put it aside. When I seen this "VHS" I bought it and went home and watched it and thought it was very interesting and entertaining. So all in all I actually watched the making of the album before actually giving it a fair shake and now it's one of my favorite Megadeth album's. It brings me back 15 good years ago. Thanks for posting all these Addiction 747.

@Addiction747 @viper2116, the reason Megadeth recorded "Youthanasia" in Phoenix was because Dave Mustaine didn't like working in Los Angeles anymore. The L.A. scene was too much for him, due to the fact that he was still abusing heroin. He got sober for good the year after this album came out.

@pkj77 probably a B-side, when bands write an album they usually have far more songs than they're actually going to use, and then when they're recorded and mixed everything they usually pick with the label which ones are going to be on the final product, it's probably in someone's basement on tape somewhere worth an absolute fortune haha

Dave seemed so much more comfortable in his skin and with who he was at that point. He seems to be coming apart these days. he's regressed to dredging up all the Metallica stuff constantly and being bitter all the time. He should've kept that lineup together. They were peers, not underlings like he has around him now.
