Great melodies and overall concept with the song, but I think the production needs a little beef(a ala - my drums, no fer reall, i could rock this). Oh yeah, the vocoder on the vox is kinda played out too. But pretty kewl song none the less.
The guy singing is trying a bit too hard at times though. BUT, I LOVE the look on his face at 3:13, ha ha, nice!
i LOVE the colors in the begining(that light green couch juxtaposed with the deep green floor) and the little kid with the suit, very hip.
around 1:05 the little boy's face immediatly reminded me of a Death video for the song "The Philosopher", check that vid out approximatly around 1:24(the little boy's face). (continued on next comment)
The music and video production aspects of this are great. The song is unique, catchy, and the video is very well produced in my opinion. It shows a fun creative side of Shael I haven't seen before, and I think it's something he should do more of. Shael, you're the new Billy Corgan of awesome.
Overall this is just really good. Sure there are little bits here and there to gripe about, but as a commercial producer I can safely say this is really good work not worth complaining at all about.
This seems to have more of a story than more Nerdcore music videos do. Definitely the best music video of the genre, thus far. Beefy's section could use some syncing, imo. And then intro is a little long.
Unsolicited advice: Really good during the music video portion. I mean REALLY good. But you may want to edit down the introductory sequence to about 10 seconds. That (in addition to the mysterious 15 seconds of blank screen) really bogs down the overall product and, frankly, is kinda boring and would repel anybody without cause or patience to wait.
That is why you read the description as it loads. You are doing something while you wait for your video to load and that long 15 seconds just doesn't seem that long anymore.
I love how sinister Shael looks around 2:38.
