this is a survivor horror, it has rpg elements but it don't make it an RPG...

This first game was an RPG with real experience levels and all that. Maybe you're thinking of PE2 which they pretty much made into a Resident Evil clone.

And I too was surprised when the BABY kicked in, Unexpected and creepy.

Also , when they battle is over , you´re thinking "weeeee I´ve beaten the game" (spoilers) but nooo , insthead you´re running away from that slimy green thing for a good 2 mins. And if it touches you , you die. :(

@Stellarklimatrom A bit of a late reply, but the maps actually AREN'T randomly-generated ala Diablo and various other games. There are set maps, they're just randomized as to where they appear. The official Brady Games strat guide had a complete listing of maps, if memory serves.

@Stellarklimatrom No there was a pattern to them, and a limited number of flood designs, so it was possible to map them out then use key features to figure out what one you are on.
