Christianity does play to older religious symbols and themes to this very day. A bilboard for a local church around may area shows a sun rising in between to mountains, just like the akhet, representing Re rising over the eastern mountains. I doubt the designers are aware of this but it just shows how ancient customs are embedded into out colective uncouscious.

Also, there are some very striking differences between Judaism and Islam. One VERY important difference is The Quran claims Hagar was Abraham's first wife. This is false. The Torah(the original history and law) states that Hagar was a servant and Sarah was his first wife.

They are very similar though, as Christ being the permanent sacrafice for our sins and replacing the sacrificial ceremony in Judaism. But the laws are exactly the same in both religions. Christianity is based off of the laws of Judaism, as Jesus shows in the New Testament. He practiced all the laws and was perfect because he did not break any.

@aimeexroyal The difference between Christians and jews is spiritual and ancestral related. Christians are a group of people that believe Jesus Christ died for their sins and rose again. It has nothing to with ancestry. ANYONE can be a Christian. Even a Jew. I know some personally.
JEWS on the other hand, are children of the two out the twelve tribes of the Isrealites. The Isrealites all come from Abraham.
So, All Jews can be Christians, but not all Christians can be Jews.

The wise men of the east they refer to in the Bible were nomadic tribes of Persians called Magi and often traveled together in large groups (sometimes in the hundreds). @aimeexroyal No dude. U are confused. Jesus was raised in the laws of the Torah. Like i said, Christianity is just a name that got tagged on by the Greeks. Before it was Christianity, it was Judaism. But when Jesus died, he was the perfect sacrifice, which is why we don't have to sacrifice lambs for our sins any more. So basically, "Christianity" is Judaism, but without the sacrifices. So in that sense, The Isrealites have been practicing that since around 4000 b.c.

@pistolpete667 NO it does not! Zeitgeist has alot of credible videos on alot of subjects. But when it comes to Religion, he is totally wrong here. Well at least in the part about Jesus being just like the others... All he did was fabricate a story. Look up every single religious figure he states that "shares similarities" to Jesus. If you read what their texts say, you will come to know how different they are from the story of Jesus, and how Jesus is unique from them.

Excluding Wikipedia, if u read the stories themselves instead of taking someone else's word for it,(Zeitgeist or Christ in Egypt), you will see the proof right from the sources. Write the "similarities" Zeitgeist claims in this video and read every myth or legend for yourself. They have been fabricated to promote Zeitgeist's New Age World View.

@aimeexroyal ACTUALLY Christianity is just a completed form of Judaism with a special name. Greeks gave it the name "Christianity" because it means followers of Christ. Before the Greeks gave it a name, we don't know what Christianity was called. But the non-completed form of Christianity (Judaism) has been around since the Hebrews were kicked out of Egypt by Pharoah. BTW, that is way earlier than 4000 B.C. So, in a way, Christianity HAS been around longer than those religions! :D

The subject on Adam and Eve was not about the fruit per se but about obedience to an order.

The reference to Pisces is also inaccurate. The fish symbol has absolutely nothing to do with astronomy or any reference to "fish" in the Bible for that matter. It's called the Ichthys (ΙΧΘΥΣ), the Greek word for fish. It's an acronym used by early Christians to identify each other while avoiding persecution from the Roman government. I = Iesous = Jesus, X = Christos = anointed, Θ = Theou = God, Υ = Huios = Son, Σ = Soter = Savior. "Jesus Christ, the son of God, our Savior."

The "Three Kings" is also an inaccuracy. The New Testament does not state the exact number of kings or wise men. The wise men of the east they refer to in the Bible were nomadic tribes of Persians called Magi and often traveled together in large groups (sometimes in the hundreds). According to the New Testament; they adorned Jesus with gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Later interpretations simply led to the conclusion of: three gifts = three wise men.
