@Snoop5856 if you ask that kind of question you probably shouldn't be trying to program at all because it is batch programming anything with command prompt on the machine can do this you could type all of this in a single session and run it if you wanted to.

if you cant see the .txt part of a text document, go to start type in folder options, when folder options appear open it, click the second tab "view scroll down and uncheck "hide extensions for known file types.

second to save some space on something like this you can do this

IF %var%=="1" start calc

IF %var%=="3" start cmd (or "call cmd" to open cmd in the same window)

if %var%=="4" start notepad

if %var%=="6" Shutdown /l

and you really only need "" around things with spaces in the names
