  • The best way to have the french accent is to be French ^^

  • @kaporalfive Well, gladly... I AM FRENCH :3

  • that's an accent i've seen in movies like ratatouille, but it's not at all what my french friends sound like when they speak english. it's about the ending of the words than any other sound. believe me, i've mocked my french friends so much i've borrowed a bit of the accent. ;)

  • I'm also french and I really hope my accent is not like that :0

  • How to speak German with a French accent

  • LOL Sorry, I really like your vids, but I'm french and this is not the french accent ! you got the "r" and the "th" wrong ! It's okay, but you need more practise ;-) your "r" are too much pronounced on the back of your throat, the french one is sweeter, but stranger have difficulties to got it right. It's the same with the other sounds, their not exactly right, but listen carrefully and you'll quickly obtain success ;-) have a nice day.

  • I`m Swiss and I speak german, french , italian and english. This videos helped me to change some bad habits I had when switching from german to english and vice versa :)

    Thank you Gareth!

  • I speak French and live in France, and I think this is pretty good

  • This guy must have helped Steve Martin for the Pink Panther!

  • "The dangly bit..." hahahaha I'm so immature

  • It's a mix between French and German accent that you do. Well I admit, it seems like a French accent =)

  • It's very impressive, I'm french and I can tell he exactly sounds like us :) so weird!

  • at 0:31 he sounds like chewbacca lol

  • sounds more like spanish 'cause of the uvular thrill. Never heard someone in french using this though i live on the french border....

  • @Siehna Ow that's normal then =p (Pordia intentar espanol pero no vas a comprenderme xD) people in the South of France have a very different accent, od course every region has its own features, but theres is really a big limit between south and north. And their (southern) accent is way more "singing", I mean it is always made of "bouncing" sounds and can be compared more easily with a spanish one, the "r" might roll, there are some more diphthongs too so you won't hear the R he speaks about.

  • @JoeLaFigue Thanks for telling me, I never knew that there are such great differences between southern and northern France :)

  • I was doing the uvula sound and i gagged

  • c'est un peu affreux on est pire que ça !!

  • Haha excellent

  • 2:13 Herbe, good. Il consomme ça se voit.

  • you looked to happy with tht finger in your mouth... ur a weirdo man i dnt even no y iv botherd to watch these videos. you look lyk a snobby prick and you always look pleased with your self wen a accent other then english cmes out your mouth... not tht there any good .... o_0

  • mdr! sa cest horrible. -.-

  • I had a teacher who had a heavy french accent. Believe it or not, he sounds exactly like this.

  • I don't think that many frenches use the uvular thrill. They use uvular fricative, like germans for example. And personnaly, I use the "f" or "s" for the hard "th" (like "fanks" for "thanks", "srill" for "thrill") and "z" for the soft "th" ("zere" for "there") when I force myself to do an horrible french accent.

Hope that it will help some poor lost tourists! :P

  • I think people who have a native latin lenguage, (meaning italian, french, portuguese or spanish) are really lucky because when you think about it it's much easier for us to learn english and to do the english sounds than for someone who speaks english to learn one of our lenguages.

Anyway, this is my opinion. My native lenguage is spanish (from uruguay) and I think people pick up english a lot faster than englishs or americans pick up our lenguages

  • @missag9 I agree but depends from where you come... I'm a French Canadien (from the Province of Quebec) so my pronunciation of words are kind of closer to english that the frenchs from France... it's way easier for Quebec people to pronounce words in English...

  • c'est quoi cette merde ?!

  • @pooky8282 c'est pas une merde voyons!

  • He looks like the guy from 17 ways to wack you're boss

  • pretty good !!! but a bit stereotypical

  • I am having trouble understanding your british accent

  • HA Lawl!

    i'm french,and i don't speack english like this^^

  • I do the same thing when I speak french. I subconciously say "hospital" which should be "l'hopital" but i add the "s" because I'm a native English speaker. when I'm switching from french to english, sometimes I'll drop the "s" b/c I'm still in French mode

  • Hi ! My name is Karrrrrrrrrrrrrrrim, I'm Frrrrrrrrench in I'm Sixteen. I Zzzzink it's not true,Ze "R" is not with the (what the english for gorge ?), it's the (What the english for palet ?).

  • I'M FRENCH! WHY DO YOU SINK I HAVE ZIS OUTRRRRAGEOUS ACCENT?!

  • @almidonado HE PROBABLY WATCHES HETALIA ;DD

(not really but I do... xDD it's all sterotypes though)

  • I'm American and I even know thats nothing close to a French Accent xD

  • British people have the worst frence accents and vice versa, Im canadian where it's somewhere in the middle (leaning more towards american)

  • Tray? You got the first part of the word right, but I've never seen a French person completely drop an n at the end of a word in English.

  • @Rahula He's just trying to say "très" (Very in french) with an english accent.

  • hell with spanish im studying french next semester

  • sorry...but this shall be sexy? "senk yu so muts fo zis?" It´s like arabian!

  • @melleEdie

Sorry, I swear on the holy bible my sister was on my account:L

I don't know about anything Canada so sorry :L

  • he sounds like hes speaking russian not french

  • Great video

  • his facial expressions freak me out and the chessey french accent makes him look like rapist

  • @poprox219

That's part of the of the thing. The noble and century-old tradition of molesting women is so well-anchored in France that impersonating a French guy instantly changes your look. Grow a moustache and you're done. Time to get some non-consenting pussy and scare the shit out of them with your majestic "Rrrrrrrrr"s.

  • What's the purpose of speaking English with French accent, unless you want to look dumb?

  • So funny !

    Perfect !

  • well... better then the german one ;-)

That RRRR you can add to about every language which is not english acutally.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm French and I never use z instead of th.

  • @mellieEdie

Canada was concered by france and they speak french so get your facts right before you pretend someone who knows these things doesn't

  • @JepicJail I never said that this wasn't true. As a matter of fact ; I didn't even motioned anything about what you're talking about. What I said is basically that francophone-canadians are not french, but canadians. Just like anglophone-canadians are canadians, and not bloody english. Learn to read a comment before pretending to correct someone when you're not. Condescending twat.

  • @JepicJail Actually the french gave us up to the english after the seven year war. And canadian accents sound mostly american, but have a small french tinge on 'r'

  • perfeeeeeeeeeeect ! i'm french and i thought i was in class !!!

  • your "r" is not right, but all the rest is perfect!

  • I don't agree on the rolling your tongue for the "r" either. The people who do roll their tongue for "r" sound are from Balkan region like Bulgarians, Macedonians etc.

it's very different for the French "r", I don't remember how to describe it anymore but I'm sure it's not rolling your tongue

  • thanks, im going to need this.

  • Ok I'm a french Canadian and there's only French from France who speak like this ! Especially for the Z sound. Instead of Z sound we are saying are D.

  • @gabrielbarbe1 No one thinks of Canada when they hear the word french. They automatically think of France, which make sense. It's pretty obvious that he is referring to France "french accent". Also you are north American, so no need to add the french to Canadian. You're not "french-Canadian" but a Francophone Canadian.

  • I'm a French guy living in USA and trying to get an American accent... this made my day haha :D I never roll my "r" though (even in french). All my friends think that you have to roll your "R" to do a french accent but i actually cannot roll my "r" (i suck at spanish because of that ^^) but it's true that i say "Ze" instead of "the" sometimes and I always drop my "h"...American accent is soooo hard :/

  • Not all french people are like that of course !!!

I speak french as my second mother tongue and i absolutely do not pronounce my r like that =D but it was fun watching :p

  • French doesnt roll R's

  • im french and i dont roll my r's.....their very guteral.

  • 1:39 Suck you so much for this LOL

  • france sucks.

  • My mom's from Quebec and sometimes she adds "h's" instead of removing them in the beginning of words with "e" or "a".

  • is this dude Canadian? :)

  • @Goldrush795 He has an english accent....

  • almost pretty good but I still can heard than he is not french lol (french girl)

  • u helped me freaking a lot!! Im first year at school learning french and because of u my french started sound soo nice!! my teacher and i have the exact same :D THX A LOT!

  • French is farley close to spanish to obviously your saying hospital :D

  • ow do i get to zee ospital?

  • @JeanMarieFr Ah! parce que lorsque tu parles comme une vache espagnole, t'as pas l'air con?

  • "Petits Français" speak funny since they cut their King's head, and adopted his "Précieux" accent like the one Cyrano tried to teach his friend in the Rostand theater piece. Normands and Canadians still have the old way of talking...VERY DIFFERENT!...also many roll their "r" like the Italians and the Spanish, what he's describing here is the Frankish-german harsh "r"...that the northern Italians(Romanolos) also use.

  • oweu aie gaiteu tou ze ospitale

  • Ahhahahah! sorry accents can be sooo funny! :D I love my American accent but i know how to speak French, German and well obviously English.

  • merci! merci!

  • C'est énorme c'est exactement ça !

    Le gars a du mérite.

Good Luck to you if you want to speak our language, with our accent :)

  • c vraiment tous des pd ces rosbeef

  • @ptraxx Les rosbeef n'ont pas de relations sexuelles, ils ne peuvent pas etre pd... par contre toi t'es tres tres con à ce que je vois.

  • 1:02- Cant stop replaying xD

  • I got the main part in my school play which is a french detective and I do Spanish so didint no a thing about french and this video SERIOUSLEY helped me !!!! thank-u !!!

  • I'm french and I laughed hard

  • @MrArthean Right. You laughed for no reason, right?

  • @MrArthean Jerry aussi.

  • @MrArthean

So did I. Zis is not a Frrrrrrrench accente, Zis is jeust carrrrrrricaturrrrrrrrre. Funnny sough ...

  • @MrArthean

Monsieur Poirot, you're Belgian, not French.

  • @IAmCaptainMarvel

Man I'm French... I just live in belgium.

  • this guys videos crack me up

  • i'am french and (z)this is funny haha

  • Am i the only french laughing at this guy who put his finger in her mouth to speak like we do x)

  • I'm from Morocco, I learned French in school since I was 10 years old, let me tell you that the way you spell the "R" is not totally correct, in fact in French there is two kind of "R", try to say "incroyable" and "un renard", you'll inderstand what I mean.

  • @blackshadow888 Ah! mon frire, j'aime bien quand tu dis incroyable! salamalec!

  • i can't do the rrrrrrrr

  • @FateStayNight1000 Then dont try regular German...France was owned by Franks for a millenia...Anglo-Saxon "r" is an extremely local german dialect peculiarity. This "r" is not French but northern European.

  • sank u so much for zis

  • the r sound is easy for me cuz my parents are persian so it's my second language and it has a lot of that sound. my french accent isn't bad, but it's rough.

  • The entire video, I was just thinking of how he said "a t'all" for "at all" lol

  • lol i choked myself when i was trying to make the rrrr sound :/

  • omg i would love to have british accent and french accent at the same time!

  • The r exists in SCOTLAND:

  • trop puissant , comme c est réaliste

  • french sounds like german

  • @reshiram09 no it doesn't.

  • You messed up the R, I agree. It is more like a phlegmy sound than a trill.

  • I'm French and I'm studying English in college, so I hear dozens of French students trying to speak English all day long, and it actually does sound like this ! ^^

  • I'M FRENCH AND IM TOTALLY AGREE WITH HIM ! THAT'S THE FRENCH ACCENT AHAHAHA BUT I HAVE NOT THIS ACCENT IN ENGLISH...WELL iI THINK ! I HOPE ! AHAHA

  • Press 5 repeatedly then 7 repeatedly then 8 repeatedly: DJ Kit! :D

  • 1:40 This is me xD

  • italian accent???
