  • this song explains my life right now.

  • definitely not sung live, studio version. but a great all time classic. love it.

  • Austrailia's answer to "The Eagles"

  • Great song, great band! wasn't a fan after this singer left tho! he was much better than the guy who replaced him!

  • Thank you,And yes, We Loved one another at the time, And I still do and I guess that will allway's be the mark of an idiot, Thank you!! For ever, for the life you gave me.

  • I don't know. Have you?

  • Harmonizing in a band is rare these days...more bands should learn to sing.

  • excelente!!

  • A Great Band that has stood the Test of Time!!

  • Thats me. meee ! :(

  • I remember this being played on the car radio when I was a kid in the late 70s

  • 1979...I was born that year. :-)

  • Live Quality usually isn't very good and this is very good. Cudos to the filmer/taper of this piece :)

  • I agree they cant for crap these days and make more money, unbelieveable

  • Back in the day where you had to carry a tune and do it very well!!! Lol

  • LRB is one of the few bands that every song they recorded was good. Not like some more popular bands that have a "HIT" song a a bunch of filler songs on the LP.

Just great music that has lasted the test of time. Peace

  • Ahhh...the days when being a singer required the ability to sing! Little River Band is playing a free concert here in Dodge City KS tonight. I won't get to go because I have to work but I am sure it will be a good time!

  • this is my theme song, if i had one. such a classic.

  • Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!

  • Great sing a long classics love the dual singing, they were kind of like a male ABBA, another great auzzie band

  • @madstylesnz ABBA is from Sweden. Damn near as far from Australia as one can get.

  • I remember I won this album on the radio... It was the first album I ever owned! I played it until the needle on my record player wore down to a nub and the record was so worn that it wouldn't play any longer! LOL Those were the days... Thank God we made it through!

  • They dont make em like this anymore.......

  • Back when REAL talent was the norm

  • thank you for posting! we tend to forget how great the old songs are.

  • This is AWESOME cant get harmony and vocals to sound like this live any more! Long live LRB!!!!

  • I keep seeing Mark Wahlberg's angry face when I hear this song . He was hilarious in The Other Guys.

  • there is no comparison to then and now people. this youngest generation of "so-called" musicians already know that. Why do you think there are so many "remakes" of our music? because WE used it all upand didn't bother to share!!!!!!!!!!!!! lolololololololololololol

  • I still have the 8 track. . .

  • Amazing harmony...Hard to find that in todays music.

  • the loved ones soundtrack :D

  • @revilore14 define slaveshit plz. are you as silly as you sound?

  • Down--but not OUT-----the Bible says, "God sets the lonely in families." Sometimes [or most of the time] it's better NOT to run with the crowd. Wide is the gate that leads to Destruction---seek the Narrow Way---

  • @lifevorce ------- thanks- I ran across this when I needed it.

  • @Vindicator58 --Amen!

  • I wish someone could upload the original "Happy Anniversary" by Little River Band. I have been looking for a long time and all I find are the "live" versions.

  • im 15 i love classics

  • This song is the story of my life.

  • Forgot how great they were... Maybe still are! Thanks

  • Great band & Great song! :-)

Thanks 4 this 5 Star Hit!

    E.D.

  • This song still makes me tap my feet-great song that still stands up even today

  • When bands were required to & took pride in vocals/harmonies.

  • tommybass40 is right!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tulsa 1979,man they lit it up!these guys harmony on the intro is unreal!

  • I saw these guys the Peanut Fest in Virgina a few years ago. Great show for some old guys

  • I grew up in the 70's and into the 80's and I swear, to this day, when Reagan

became president, music went right to shit.

  • There are no guarantees except, you quit....you lose....

  • qiutters never win and winners never quit

those who arent willing to try, cant fail

often those who fail will one day succeed

  • Kick Butt Greg You Beautiful Man!!!!!!! Jeese!!!! Your'e awesome!!!!

  • Everytime I listen to another an Oldie there seems to be another in the list next to the song I'm listening too, Great music, great era.........the 70's Wish these bands were still around. Todays music is crap conpared to the 70's thanks for the memories!

  • exactly... singers today dont have shit on songs like this... or even the bands who sing them... like little river band, fleetwood mac, CCR, all of them....they can never be beaten, never be replicated... singers shuddnt even try to remake old songs...it still wuddnt b as good...

    ROCK ON!! \m/ (^_^) \m/

  • OMG...i remember going to see LRB live at the Meyer Music Bowl... i was about 14 and it was my first concert...there is not much these days that even compares...brings back so many good memories....

  • tjerwin1....Couldn't have said it better myself. Great music from the 70's is now lost with the stuff that is called music nowdays.

  • I think the other version with mat Dillon is better!!!

  • Excellent music but its not the audio from this performance.

  • Always loved this group. Always will. Great classic band.

  • Listen to how crisp and clean the vocals are. Truly amazing...Miss this music!

  • Glenn Shorrock, Graeham Goble and Beeb Birtles were the heart of this band when they first started, and in my humble opinion, which doesn't mean much, were the best trio that ever was, other than the Bee Gee's. Nothing can convince me to say otherwise. These guys are and always will be to me the best harmonizing band that ever was...listen to "It's a Long Way There" and you will be blown away by their ability to meld together like gold....simply put..beautiful vocals!

  • put the eagles up there with one of the best harmonising bands too!

  • @squonkdh UR right on NO ONE can touch the original LRB!!

  • I so much prefer the music of yesteryear, my growing up years. You could understand the words they were saying. There was no screaming lyrics. These songs, such as this one, are absolutely timeless classics. Today's music can't hang with it on it's best days.

  • good ole tunes . back then they played with instruments . not like nowday bands they play with there balls..

  • you can't generalize all modern day bands into crap, look at susan tedeschi, big bad voodoo daddy, robert randolph & the family band, or muse. A lot of bands have amazing musicians within them

  • follow these words

  • One of the best bands EVER!!!!!!

  • Glenn Frey has been quoted as saying LRB is the best singing band ever :)

  • now thats what i call music

  • legends of aus music......hi to dave briggs and graham goble

  • The singers of today should take advantage of these classics and see if they could even keep up with them. Great musicians and singers from the 70's. My growing up era. Love 'em. Thank you so much for the memories.

  • @tjerwin1 Can't say it any better, my friend. What a freakin' classic.

  • @tjerwin1 I grew up in this era as well, but loved the 80's more. I think that is because I never really bought in to the disco era. Either way, good music and good songs are good no matter when or where you hear them...LRB were great in their day...

  • 30 years ago seems like yesterday. I still have my vinyl copy of First Under the Wire that this song was on.

  • Love this song, And i miss the rock bands that implmented great vocal harmony, great rock music, that spoke to the common man. these guys remind me of the eagles alot!

  • I was instantly transported back to college when the first several notes played. The whole piece is a masterful work.

  • What happened with today? poor videos, poor music and recording techniques that just make any crap sound glossy. These guys are just the best. memorable sounds written by people that cared about music.

  • It's sooo sad that I didn't grow up with this. Unfortunately too young

  • @Vegeta366 Thats ok, you're listening now. Nothin wrong with that.

  • ABOVE EXCELLENT!!!

  • god they was great and so under rated no one hit wonder with this band

  • i love oldies so bad i want them back!

  • I love this oldie.

  • @Ficadigi golly makes me feel realllly old, but i 'member roller skating to this song...

  • any body knows bout the song title is love will survive/ pleas give me response and or post it in yutube

  • great song brings back memories well a little almost to early for mre. but good song

  • Glenn Shorrock, Graeham Goble, Beeb Birtles, Ric Formosa, Roger McLachlan,Derek Pellicci.

  • That's the original line up, but not the one on this song. George McArdle had replaced Roger M on bass, while Formosa had ben replaced by David Briggs. Otherwise, the guys are the same.

  • can anyone name all members of the group
