Spartens are similar to the Space marines in Warhammer 40k, but they are given the gene-seed of a primarch instead of chemicals and then grow to 8 feet tall and wear 2 tons of power armour lol

@2good2bad44 Spartan III is indeed the "disposable" Spartan. Master Chief's group of Spartans were very costly. Originally, there were many pre-Spartan candidates but only a few members came out of the injections. The failed test-subjects were deformed for life.

The problem with the whole book thing is that Bungie is taking a bunch of stuff from the books then screwing it up. In the world premiere trailer they referenced an event of one of the books, wrongly. They literally could have just replaced the battle reference with a different one and it would have fitted the book. Why wouldn't they?

For all of you that dont know what this is about, this is the movie of how Spartan III Carter was created he is your commanding officer on the new game Halo Reach and he is once of the few of Noble team who are spartans III that get to wear MJOLNIR Mark V armor wich is the one you see on the vid, Spartan IIIs were much cheaper and a lot more than the 33 spartans II aprox 1200 spartan IIIs were created or were in procress of.

For one, Halo Reach is NOT a remake of the book!! And two, the books didn't create Halo, Bungie did, so anything Bungie says about the Spartans and anything else in the Halo world is correct, it doesn't matter what the books say those guys who write those books have nothing to do with Bungie!!

Bungie allowed the authors to write their own take on the events of the Halo Universe. Its like all the Star Wars books and comics, the universe is so massive that many stories can branch from the same tree. So yes the books are correct, but this trailer is also correct.

If anyone wanted to know about the ink/needle injection, Spartans are physically and mentally enhanced humans. Using special injections such as the ones we just saw, you can notice muscle enhancement. The point is to show how a Spartan III is created. If you need information, go look at Halo: The Fall of Reach. It pretty much explains how the Spartans came to be. (Master Chief, Spartan I, Spartan II, Spartan III eg. ) Hoped this helped!!
