@NegaNekojin Quite the opposite. Lombre doesn't learn any decent water moves by level up. Only decent one is Hydro Pump at Lv49. In addition, there aren't any good water TMs to use *besides* Water Pulse, but that's way too late in the game.
Isn't Lombre supposed to be half-water? In such case, it's not a Mono Grass run, but a Dual Water-Grass run...

@4CecilSnow13 Errr... not really, By that point Torchic can perfectly be a Combusken an being part fighting gives it quite the advantage over rock. And Charmander in 3rd Gen can learn Metal Claw, which is super effective against rock... Cyndaquil on the other hand would suffer a lot on this gym.
@ZVentus I got Lombre's 5th Gen movelist mixed with the 3rd Gen's one (It learns Bubble Beam at lvl.25 on both 4th and 5th gen) ^^U

@triniking1234 Lombre is part water, so fire is not effective against it.
Flannery should stance no chance at all against a properly trained Lombre.
