With the best of intentions, including no desire to pluder the alien's world, each visiting spaceman unintentionally "plunders" the alien's heart when he fulfils his own desire to find life and companionship, only to expire in the effort, leaving the alien more hurt and alone than before.

The alien's hopes and desires are raised and then dashed each time a new spaceman comes into his world, which explains his powerful accumulated bitterness at the end.

I think the cards are memories of the departed individuals. The pain caused by the untimely departure of so many loved ones outweighing the pleasure experienced from these relationships explains why the alien regards these memories with bitterness instead of cherishing them.

I think what the count down meant is how long before the astronaut's gear shut down...if you pause at the count down screen in the ship you can see the ship and the astronauts vitals....when the count down finished the oxygen in the space suit was cut off..so the astronaut died in his sleep..as the same thing happened to many before him......

I'm not really one to hand out compliments much but that was actually a very nice piece of work. As mentioned previously, perfect soundtrack to go appropriately with the storyboard. Definately gets the viewer emotionally involved with just the artwork. Nice storyline. Alltogether a well-rounded video. You should be proud of it.

I'm not sure, but I this is the way I understood it...

The little yellow dude was alive alone on his planet and he kept being found by other alive solo travelers. But like this last one, they always died, leaving him alone again.
