  • Dude. I had this in my favorites for over a year now and wathc it again from time to time. You should definitely put that on vimeo. Which program have you used to create it? It is really great!

  • it is the same in Bulgaria, or even more F@%# up. Life sucks bolls and then You Die! Enjoy! ;p

  • Absolute must see for ANYBODY, who has ever tried to get ANYWHERE

  • Absolute must see for ANYBODY, who has ever tried to get ANYWHERE

  • Damnnnnn it is so f* true!!!!

  • I've never laughed so much at any video on Youtube. So accurate! I remember waiting for the last 19A home from town - arrived at the stop on Westmoreland St at 23:15, timetable said 23:30 was the last bus.

By 12am there was a huge crowd of people and no bus. Nightlink buses started showing up along with a bus inspector, so I said "hey, can you find out what happened to the last 19A? It never came and I'm not paying four times the price to get home". He dismissed me as if I was completely mad.

  • What an amazing little video.. Having had to commute from D15 to D18 for 2 years (on public transport) I know the hell that is Dublin commuting.

Should of had a part where it explains the stupidity behind having a 2 luas lines that dont connect to eachother ^_^

  • Hahahaha!! That's sooo true! :D

Please make one about Dublin Bus routes!!

  • With all the money being pumped into Dublin, you would think that any proper transport system would work. But this is Dublin , where 5 billion actually means 25 billion. You should try and live in Cork, Where no fucking money is being spent, we get all the shitty buses and fuck all rail networks. I 'm sorry , they recently opened the Midleton Line. 1 train every hour leaves Midleton for Cork, and that if it leaves at all.

  • Ahahaha, that is SO true! Even in 2010!

  • in fairness I have to say now the M50 is very good and there are still some exits to finish.

If they ever deliver the metro lines and extend the luas so everything is connected we'll have an acceptable transport system

  • clever and amusing! bikes are best. And trains too. Our heritage is being destroyed so commuters can get from navan to dublin by motorway and save 10 mins travelling but not Tara.

  • Amazing, - the video posted 2 years ago. Nothing practically changed over this time!

  • @mutoid1 Bikes are great, especially if you can tolerate a gentle monsoon, buses overtaking and stopping immediately, people expecting you to get off the road or ride close enough to parked cars to be doored so they can overtake you easily, taxi drivers expecting you to use cycle _paths_ which are full of pedestrians, turn at weird angles, vanish into walls and cause dangerous situations when you merge back onto the road, knackers stealing or casually stomping the wheels of parked bicycles, etc.

  • Very good!!!

  • Nearly 3 yrs later and this could have been made last week ..... some things never change!

  • I never realised it was that old O_O I thought it was a recent thing

  • @irishisis with the introduction of a 30km restriction in Dublin central - I think they are getting worse tbh.

  • It was made in 2004.

  • so true!!

  • Excellent!

  • awesome vid

  • Still not there, and probably never will...nothings got better since the making of this only worse. Get out while you can!

  • Excellent!

  • bang on. this is so dublin. so glad i got out of that rat pit of a city. great sketch!

  • Ummm... the problems we face in the city nowadays are due to the fact that the Government of the 40's 50's and 60's decided that cars were the only way forward, so they ripped up all the tram tracks and neglected to start work on a metro system, a rail system that would transport people between the two, non-connecting rail lines in the city, and a bus service that actually works.

Theres been some progress mate, but as the vid says, we're not there yet... Where did Michael Moore come into this?

  • he whines alot.

  • Solutions are simple - fire virtually everyone with any power in the country and start again. No? That won't work? Then whine. It will eventually turn into a roar.

  • Excellent!

  • ...applicable almost anywhere urban...

    Excellent vid.

  • Really good!! I live in Dublin and this video shows the sad true about the transport here.

  • nice. now you have to do one with dublin bikes... we shall see how those work

  • this clip is so spot on.

  • only one thing.... car was driving on right side :) but it's so true ;)

  • legend.

  • Fantastic video...really funny.

still means I love Ireland though...despite all the Ireland-bashing going on in this comments

  • It is so damn true

  • Wow. Now that is something I dont miss about Dublin. The buses are just useless and expensive. In Calgary the buses are actually spot on or too early. I actually think the airport is OK.

    Good work

  • This absolutely made my day.

Brilliant and so true. I used almost all of them, Cycling, Busses, Luas, Trains and for few days even driving.

Luckily my flights didn't get delayed to much, but the controls, the overcrowding at the airport are just a pain in the... Not to mention the marathon you have to do if you fly with Ryanair.

    Anyway: Great Clip!

  • i saw this film for the first time in Shepparton, Australia of all places, Everyone was in bits laughing at it while i was saying thats the reality of it!!

  • 46A - definitely in top ten bus routes in the world ever

Luas - Dublin is second only to San Francisco for its beautiful tram system.

Admittedly neither is any use if you live in Clonsilla though.

  • 46A is the posh bus, the only line that gets those lovely 6 wheelers. try the 78A pal, ya posh get.

  • Never heard of a posh bus before

  • Obviously you haven't been on the 46a

  • Nope, but some of the busses i get depart form abbey street :P

  • Good Stuff Folks dublin is a pretty shitty city

  • brilliant

  • i love it :) after all fecking bad monday u made a smile on my face ! thx

  • The fares on Dublin Bus are like Jesus Christ...

After three days, they Rise again.

  • so far, every second of this is true. traffic in this country is one aspect of how fucked up it is to live here. the irish are a bunch of fuckin retards with their collective head wedged into their collective ass. and for some fuckin reason they're smug about it. i hate this fuckin country and i hate it's fucked up inhabitants. and this is from somebody just as fuckin irish as you, so don't try to turn a race card on me.

  • i agree completely i'm irish to and lived in dublin for 3 years once studyin animation in ballyfermot and hoped on a city bus to get to my flat which was a half an hour walk away coz i'm a lazy cunt and the bus took 3 hours to get me home and the cunt of a bus driver wouldn't let me off coz we werent at a fucking bus stop cunt

  • yeah bus drivers are the biggest pricks on the road. AND they get paid too fuckin much and if they don't get what they fuckin ask for they'll go on strike and paralyse the city.

  • That is super! laughing quietly at my desk to that one...

  • This is about right, I always knew we lived in a BANANA republic

  • Sounds about right to me , always knew we lived in a BANANA Republic.

  • "Dedicated to the Minister For Transportation".

I sure hope he/she got it.

  • in fairness though, do you think that idiot will ever see this?

  • How eerie... it seems transport in Dublin is identical to what we have in Sydney. :P

  • oh it sure is. worst train line ever "northern line", everyone else who doesnt ride that line has nothing to complain about. constant worse and worse experiences all the time. and its the fastest method of travel by 20+ mins. transport infrastructure and updates do not exist.

  • at least you have good weather. when you're standing outside waiting an hour for a bus, at least you don't have the gulf stream shitting itself on you

  • I used to live in Dublin and I've visited Sydney multiple times for longer periods of time. While Sydney definitely does not have the best public transport it's far superior to the Dublin one. For one, it actually goes places. The two Luas lines in Dublin do not connect! The Dart only runs along the seaside. There is NO rail to the airport. The bus lines are shaped in a star, forcing one to always pass through the center. There is a reason why there are about 24k taxis in the City!

  • The cop bit happened to me

  • the cops are 1 step over the knackers in terms of value towards society. watch any cop walking around and you can see the arrogance exuding from them. those fuckin pigs love themselves.

  • lol that is hilarious i saw this on tv a few hours ago and i had to come find it on youtube

  • lol i just saw this on TV

  • very very astute.congrats

  • One the funny videos lol

  • I love it :D

  • Very true, I live in Dublin now and I must confess that the dreaded public transport system of Budapest is a... khm... little bit better... :) But I am fond of Ireland anyway!!!

  • Haha, this is so true.

This country is a piece of shit run by fat ugly corrupt politicians who only serve themselves.

  • dont like it? leave

  • how about you vote for decent politicians and then we wouldnt have to leave because they make a balls of the country.

  • Your username tells me all i need to know about your level of maturity. FOAD

  • Does it really? What does it tell you? Does it tell you that i sympathise with the IRA or something? Is that what you are trying to suggest? You couldnt be more wrong if you tried. I suppose anyone who has the word rock in their username must sympathise with HAMAS? If only youtube had eye rolling emoticons...

  • Oh, i just realised that you attacked me because i dared vent my dissatidfaction with our country's leadership. mucksavage, Fianna Fail, incompetence... its all beginning to make sense now.

  • That sounds like most of the 'free' world.

  • Absolute kudos!!

  • you really think its that bad? try staying in some other country may be you will appreciate what you`ve got!

  • Its fucking pathetic. We are a country that has a very low population density. Making this country run like clockwork would be no difficult challenge. We have no proper rail infrastructure(we had but decided we would rip it up in the 60s),Dublin has congestion that a city 10 times its size shouldnt have, out public transport is a joke and our roads are like dirt tracks. People like you who settle for this shit annoy me. No wonder the place is going down the drain...again.

  • So true. That's why I'm already out of this poxy country. GL to all who still live there. Not there ever! :D

  • i guess the only way is walking!

  • Awesome... spot on lads!!

  • Glad you're all loving this. It is soooo true. Barryftx really hit the nail on the head. Why are we still in this country?!

Just so you know, I didn't make this but I mailed the bloke who did to tell him what a good response it has been getting the last week or so. Anyone who has endured this country needs to see it.

  • I've just spent the last 5mins 36secs pissing myself laughing! I know I really shouldn't have been, but this is just BRILLIANT. Its so funny cos its soooo true

  • this is absolutely fucking amazing. spot on

  • fuckin brilliant! love the bingo train times!!! :D

  • Absolutely brilliant. So true, all of it. The people who run this country are criminals, its a disgrace.

  • man well done fuckn class

  • begs the question...why do we live in this overpriced underserviced shi*hole??? Paris had a feckin metro service in July 1900! thats 109 years ago!!!!!!!!! if it wasnt for the greedy criminals getting into government this wouldn't be such a bad place to live. Now, i'm off to punch someone in the face!!

  • It's true. Dublin badly planed if somebody planned the city ever.

Schedule of buses is joke. Last train can be cancelled.

  • soooo funny. It is very true. Im so glad not to be working and living in Dublin anymore!

  • Great work. am i laughing or crying? jaysus, can we barr the rulig class in this country from ever running for office?

  • Brilliant stuff, everything showed happened to every single person living in Dublin.

Great stuff, well done to all.

  • Lol its all true .. so so true .. love it.

  • Magnificent!! For fun, have a look at a map of the Luas "network" - where other cities have a vast web of interconnecting lines, the Luas has (no kidding) a picture of a man WALKING from the Green line to the Red line. In this situation, all you can do is laugh so please keep making films like this!

  • Absolutely fantastic video! Well done to all those involved!

  • It is a good thing that the Irish people are so artistically gifted. At least the movie board can use public money to fund a film about what the Ministry for Transport is unable to do. And NO I'm not suggesting that the money for this film should go to the transport system. It would be spoiled anyway.

  • it would be so funny if it weren't so true :)

  • Get me the fuck out of this country! My road tax is €1200! That's right, it pollutes as much as x9 Micras! What a load of bollox!

  • Jeasus this thing is the fecking true :)

I remember the mess up with the Dublin Port Tunnel :P 5 years in hell with the M1...

Please, continue to make it funny...

    I'm loving it :P

  • Funny cos it's true. Amen to a local job :P

  • Replace the names and this could've been made in San Francisco. Glad to see we've got *some* good company in Europe!

  • believe me, no matter how bad san francisco is its still not as bad as the shambles that is Dublin or this country in general. We really do accept shit from politicians too easily

  • I love it. Great job.

  • that is so hilariously true

  • One of the best I have seen in a long long time. Bravo Excellent 5 Star and sadly all entirely true.

  • i was in das vaterland a while back, and let me tell you its paradise compared to this snake pit.

  • hilarious! I'm just too happy I can live in town and walk everywhere, cause this is so TRUE

  • Brilliant!

And note (C)2004, it is 2008 and nothing changed...

  • Fanbluddytastic and spot on!

    Well done.

  • missing Dublin! :D Lol!

  • man this is MY LIFE! I cant afford a car. Lottery never comes out! Traffic is so bad! To live far from work means change 2 buses...if they come, so I pay more to live near work! Amazing video and please Minister for Transport, fix Ireland's STUPID public transport, especially Dublin!

  • Absolutely brilliant!

  • Heh, this video is so true...damn you dublin bus!!!

  • I saw this on TV in Australia on the weekend and can assure you that this is not just a problem in Ireland!!! I thought it was brilliantly done

  • This is brilliant! I spent a bit over a year in Ireland, and was aghast at the state of your transport system. Evidently it hasn't improved at all since then.

I'd have thought that they'd at least have made an effort to make the 747 bus (yes, the one that runs to the airport) reliable, but I really should have known better...

For what it's worth, this film was just broadcast on SBS (Australia). You're famous :)

  • Very Nice Animation, Funny too

    FIVE STARS

  • thats so good!and so true!i luv the leaf on the dart line bit.stupid country

  • Outstanding! It's funny ,cos it's true!

  • god public transport makes me so mad sometimes, fucking bus eireann!

  • that's brilliant!

  • Class! Just missed the start on RTE2 so I thought I might find it here! Good job on the animation lads sums the countries transport up nicely
