  • @114church

    And yet you did reply.

  • I don't like this man's name.

Where is my vagina? Where will all the babies come out?

  • He seems like a really cool guy, and he's obviously badass on that guitar! But fuck me .... what an awful piece of shit he's playing. Get a Strat, man!

  • @chapmanpeter11 Strats are shit, Gibsons are shit, Esp is shit, etc. A guitar is a fucking tool. Bumblefoot likes playing weird guitars.

  • @SevenisNine You obviously know your stuff! Lol.

  • Bumblefoot vids never disappoint when it comes to comments from wanna be know it all guitar nerds.

  • @666Hellmask haha thats what i was thinking, but thats any video of someone playing guitar

  • his fretting hand looks like some sort of alien crab

  • watch Ron Plays Shackler's Revenge and explain the technique while on visit in Israel!!!

  • Funny

  • i like where all the idiots in this thread completely missed the point of the joke that is this song. to say ' i don't like it because it's technical dribble ' is completely getting what this song is about and missing the whole fucking point at once.

  • @ggalexhutchings Oh good, I'm not the only one that notices.

  • if you don't know, hes playing the most common blues progression. It's called a I-IV-V. Johhny be good for example uses the same progression. it's a joke. you suck

  • Technical dribble, sounds like arcade game from the 80's

  • @144church You are an idiot, please don't comment here again.

  • @Will137 Thx for replying to a 3 month old post I had totally forgot about this shitty vid.For future reference when a guy hasn't commented on a vid for 3 months it probably means he isn't going to post anymore comments. Thus you don't have to tell them not to reply anymore fucking moron.

  • @144church Idiot!!!

  • @144church

3 months really isn't that long.

  • i like the "feeling" in this song haha

  • @poshlivsena lol. The joke is actually on you.

  • @poshlivsena The song was written with closeminded people like you in mind. Good to see you eagerly went for that "carrot" Bumblefoot was dangling in front of you. You're the u-tube equivalent of Wile E. Coyote running into a wall, on which Road Runner drew a tunnel....

  • I would love to write some lyrics for him. :D

  • @poshlivsena If you bothered to look anything up, you would know that the joke's on you.

  • he sounds alot like buckethead...

  • wow he can play a fucking scale super fast.

  • @dikocaca You do get the fact that the song is actually making fun of shred guitar players, right? Go look up the lyrics to the full tune.

  • @ibanezbloke its funny cause he's making fun of himself.

  • @dikocaca its a joke thats the whole point

  • ..looks like John Frusciante...:)

  • Cool! Awesome looking guitar too!

  • hahah !! He really cant play the blues !! Slash , , , where are u ??

  • @slash129 learning to play guitar :)

  • that guitar is fucking hilarious

  • dude he fucks up!

  • @crazyboyxx

    or chris broderick for megadeth

    broderick's way to good

  • @blackseeds666 shit! chris broderick wish he had the chops of Chris Poland or Marty Friedman! Broderick can shred but its all technique and no feel.. no "hook". His solos on the new Megadeth album are instantly forgettable. Its kinda like Malmsteen amazing technique not enough soul.

  • Guns'n'roses are long gone.

i think you mean "the axl rose project" (:

  • Comment removed

  • "axl rose and friends"

  • And the old G'n'R is GONE! This is how it is, people should realize that. Ron is a part of G'n'R, case closed...

  • Yeah, fuck the old G'n'R. I like the old songs, but it gets boring. Chinese Democracy is the best G'n'R album ever IMO. Slash and Izzy were very talentedguitarists, but Ron is wayyyyy better than Slash or Izzy. Plus, Robin Finck and Buckethead are both better than Slash (even though they are not with G'n'R anymore).

  • Why? Is that important? It seems that people unfamiliar with Bumblefoot get this idea that he's just some hack who doesn't deserve to be in GNR. No. It's the other way around. Bumblefoot's too good for GNR.

  • @ShredST he lives up to his stupid nickname

  • @guitardrills666 Slash is an overrated wanker and Axl Rose is a major Douche Bag, while Bumblefoot is one of the nicest, most talented people on earth. Why compare them?

  • Holy shit, this guy just chilln'.

  • Bumblefoot is awesome. What a great guitar player.

Too bad I can't find his "Barefoot EP" anywhere. :(

  • Yes, Bumblefoot rules and I cannot find Barefoot EP anywhere too.

  • If I ever find it I'll give you the link. :D

  • @necrocago his guitars are made by Vigier, french guitars, I guess you just have to hit the custom shop

  • @necrocago Try amazon.com's mp3 downloads, I'm pretty sure they have it

  • @iuricastro22 cdbaby com cd bumbleft4 [add the dot and slashes] Bumblefoot com store will be closed till 2012... and there's always iTunes for the digital copy.

    just a fan.

  • That guitar is creepy.

  • Fucking beast

  • i no y it sounds bluesy now. hes shreading to the 12 bar blues progression. its actually knida clever, not sure if its been done before

  • im not sure if greg howe bad racket is a twelve bar blues. its pretty cool kinda similar might even be a bit earlier than this i duno, greg howe is great as well as bumblefoot and guthrie

  • I literally couldnt agree any more. You just named 3 of my 5 favorite guitarists!

  • well lets be honest, guthrie govan is on a whole nother level than howe and bumblefoot. Guthrie govan truly knows how to play over changes and is one of the most fluent guitar players ever.

  • I don't know man; Bumblefoot and Guthrie have known each other for quite a few years. I think that Ron once mentioned that they used to send each other music and tabs... there's this video with Guthrie and Ron jamming on Yakety Sax, and Guthrie taking one solo, but when Ron takes lead, he smokes him, using a fretless, and proceeds to TAP the main lead in the song with his pinky! I love Govan, though, don't get me wrong-- but they seem pretty even to me :)

  • i dont understand how this guy isnt known as well as slash. clearly he is as good (or even better i dare say) than slash

  • The music industry has more to do with image and luck than skill. Compare Bumblefoot to the Jonas Brothers, for one.

  • Loser, loser, loser!

  • Yeah totally. Hopefully you're about 13, considering your vastly intelligent comment?

  • If you'd like to debate who's the idiot here, maybe we should go back to your original comment you left here, and take a poll. And your result is........

Loser! Loser! Fucking big homo LOSER!!

    :)

  • I don't know who's the lowest form of degenerate here, the one making an observational comment based on both observation and personal experience, or the one making immediate personal attacks at twice the age?

The fact that you're over the age of 13 is actually disturbing. You might even have kids, and _that's_ worrying.

And for the record, Ron Thal is one of my favourite guitarists and main inspirations. Doesnt' change the fact that Disney promotes their shit better due to higher budgets.

  • fuck man, shit happens in the music industry and if u cant deal with it gtfo of it. im sure bumblefoot live a more than comfortable life and if u wanna help, then buy one of his albums like me.

  • I buy his albums and his shirts, as a matter of fact. I also play his music on the guitar.

And the whole point of my post was exactly what you said: That shit happens in the music industry, and that talent is nowhere near worth as much as people think. Not that the artists are any crappier because of this, but despite e.g. Bumblefoots (most likely) wealthy living, you still can't compare it to Hannah Montana or any of the other marketing products of e.g. Disney. No talent: Filthy rich.

  • Dare you say? OF COURSE he's better - by fucking LIGHT YEARS, and then some!! Slash has a bit of feel, but is the biggest offender of guitar plagiarism on the planet, and a very sloppy player as well. Page was sloppy, and creative. Slash, sloppy and copy ;) Don't get me wrong, I like Slash's playing, just not even in the same league as players like Ron Thal, Buckethead, Gilbert, Petrucci, etc.

    Dare I SAY :)

  • i like bumblefoot better but youd be suprised how fast slash can play he knows how to play like this ive heard but he doesnt play this kinda stuff on albums or live stuff

  • Slash can't play as fast.

    Enough said.

  • And Bumblefoot has Zero feeling.

    Enough said.

  • What the fuck? Have you even heard some of his songs? Heart attack was one of the most (If not the most) emotional song I have ever heard

  • Hey look everybody it's that mental midget iNearbot (formerly known as iSmokecock) again. The guy who makes a living going around the internet pissing on BBF clips. He doesn't understand that in art popularity isn't equivalent to quality That's why he's holding on to Slash's cock so tight, people call him his nutsack. Another thing he doesn't understand is that feeling is a SUBJECTIVE INTERNAL EXPERIENCE, making his comments about Ron here as blatantly stupid as ever!!

  • Wow, shut up

  • And another bites the dust! Lol, it's so funny to see all these mental midgets, who can't rate tempo as the valid avenue of expression in music that it is, act exactly on the provocation that Ron is dangling in front of them (with this song). Its like seeing a guy chase a dollar, tied to a string, down the street while Ron is reeling it in. The whole song is a statement towards both egocentric shredders who cant play (fast) with substance as whiny ass narrow minded blues purists.....

  • ....Who immediately have sand in their vaginas, whenever a player uses tempo as a valid avenue of expression. Shredding through a blues framework is the whole underlining, paradoxal, theme of this song. I'm sorry, but if the only concept you can derive from a clever song like this is it's speed, and use this narrow base to immediately call it shit. Then you are clearly not ready for music of this ingenious calibre.

  • Comment removed

  • @o0Slipdisc0o But musical genius does not get better as speed increases. In no way is that true. I'd hate to see the day many jazz, classical and blues guitarists are second best to people like this.

  • @GetYourAlbatros You never saw me claim that the quality of a piece or performance is increasingly proportionate to the speed in which it is executed. It's just another avenue of expression that can be used succesfully by people with taste and depth in their playing. I'm just acting against narrow minded people who, by rule, see technical ability and speed as a diamtric opposite to emotion, which is bollocks and part of the concept behind this very clever song...

  • @o0Slipdisc0o This video just shows some scale work shown at speed. It's quite simply that and only that. Not that that makes it terrible art, but it's not any better then the same scale being played slowly with more musical improvisation. (by the way, I never said you did say you thought musical art gets more complicated with the speed it's performed at, you came to that conclusion)

  • @GetYourAlbatros (1/2) Look, it's not my problem you really can't grasp the cleverness of this song. It's not the complexity or the innovativity of the scales or any rhythmic, dynamic, melodic and harmonic aspect that makes it special. The greatness lies in the lyrics and the form. Meaning that he chooses to SHRED his way through a SIMPLE BLUES framework and sing about it. It's what's known as sophisticated humor in music.

  • @GetYourAlbatros (2/2) The song takes a piss at both shredders, who play fast without substance, and whiny (cough...cough) note-bending-face-pulling-music-is-about-the-spaces-between-the-notes (mostly blues) purists who seem to deny speed it’s rightful place in every genre as just another TOTALLY VALID avenue of expression. So … NO, the song IS BETTER than a slower or more improvisational version: IT’S THE WHOLE FREAKIN’ POINT to be just the way it is....

  • @GetYourAlbatros BTW, you did imply that I was claiming some progressive relation between speed en musical genius. When you seemed to feel a need to convince me (your response was directed at me) by saying: "musical genius does not get better as speed increases". You then go on by separating Ron from other guitarists by labeling him "people like this" based on nothing but superficial speed and ignorance towards his music and motives. Very shallow…

  • normally id agree but download this song. this is bad example of it.

    its a pretty good song.

but your right about too many musicians trying to play fast.

  • You missed the point completely. He was just practising a song he wrote that was intended to be a parody of all the 'shredders' out there.

  • @WhatTheEFin

    Without speed, you're a pussy...

  • when yo listen to the whole song its awesome

  • He do it cause you no can.

  • you obviously havent seen the lyrics to the song, or listened to the song.

try that, then act like a douche.

  • ya slash used the same chromatic climbing lick from eagles hotel california in almost every solo he ever played.

  • are those all guitars ibanez?, i lookis like it from here

  • They are Vigier guitars.

  • he really cant play the blues , ha hha

  • there was no emotion at all but it was fast.

  • agree

  • ya but have u heard his other stuff that he has done

  • yea i've heard the other stuff, its not my type of music but he's good at what he does

  • In this song Ron makes fun of both egocentric virtuosos as people who go around claiming how only slow blues based music has an emotional quality. He does this by shredding through a blues framework. With the shredding symbolizing the egomaniacs and to annoy the fuck out of blues purists. He basically pisses over nimrods like you who can't understand that emotion is a subjective internal experience and who can't see speed as the valid avenue of epression, that it is. Good to see you fel for it.

  • i'm not a blues player.......i just jam with people who are and i know the difference i thought he was just shredding so iam srry that i offended

  • Absolutely agree.

  • I have never agreed more with a youtube comment in my life, Slipdisk ;)

  • @o0Slipdisc0o you couldn´t have said it better

  • @o0Slipdisc0o Aha! I knew he was being sarcastic. That's mainly because I highly agree with Ron though. Blues purists can eat my steamy stools.

  • @MusicfromtheDave Lol, that's right. However, it's just as much a diss towards guitar gymnasts who use speed without substance or people who systematically see "tempo" and "technique" as diametric opposites to "feeling".

  • @o0Slipdisc0o Oh yeah, I know. I don't like guitarists that only play fast. I like fast and GOOD. It's just that blues purists disgust me even more because they seem even more closed minded.

  • @MusicfromtheDave Yup. Those are usually the ones for whom "tempo" and "technique" are diametric opposites to "feeling". People who endlessly preach about which player OBVIOUSLY is playing with feeling (or soul) and who's not. People who don't understand that feeling is a subjective internal concept. And usually root for the guy who bends every note into frequencies only dogs can hear, with constipation written all over his face.... They disgust me beyond comprehension.

  • @o0Slipdisc0o Hahahahahaha! I'm sending you a mental high-five right now.

  • @o0Slipdisc0o

thank you, emotion can be anything. different music moves different people.
