  • This is a good martial art. Lot's of rubbish comment found here from non Indian. What a jealousy, narrow minded people have commented. Fact have to accepted at any cost. I am glad to be Indian and proud about my country & culture. This is ancient defence & attack technique. All have to respect if possible, other than make comment showing your attitude & culture.

you'd be surprised how big asia really is so next time you decide to go on a rant make sure you can back your info up.

btw true martial art's isn't about violence and having the hunger to beat others up, its more then just ass kickin.

  • im impressed with that guy using that steel whip at such speed..to not hit himself

  • Seriously this is a martial arts video, stop with the race hate. People need to move on from the past we should be able to recognize that we're all human by now. I would like to say one thing however, I hate this idea that people have that white people have no real history, just because few people practise wicca and live like the traditional celts and such doesn't mean we didn't have history or a truly cultured people. People need to realise that differences is what makes our world so beautiful.

  • credits to bodi dharma master of kalari

  • kalari and kung fu can kill a boxer in split seconds..and can control ur mind...so whites! listen up..know the meaning of real cultured martial arts..then u people talk...if not just stfu...it doesnt mean u r white..and everything is right!

  • Any style of self defense that you come out alive at the end of the battle is good. Where it came from is really not the point.

  • One thing i know is bodhidharma is the person who create martial art

  • I gotta say the sword work looks interesting.

  • This martial arts looks retarded, it fails I cant even take this shit seriously, india sucks at everything, thats why you ass fucks, get jumped everyday.

  • @hclfa4 i bet u got ur punkass kicked by some indian guy

  • @omniexistus lol indians cant fight, this video proves that YOUR martial arts is gay as fuck and I fought and indian dude and I kicked his ass, I was also gonna fight this indian dude bigger than me, he didnt show up the first time I asked for a rematch and he pussied out hahahhaha

  • WOW I didn’t know that india had martial arts comparable to that of China and Japan. I love martial arts a lot, especially when it’s in great movies! That’s why I got so excited for the release of “Films of Fury” on demand. It had great action scenes and movie clips! bitly .com/uBGPir

  • @mustlovecinema

indians where the first u initiated martial arts in china, japan, his name was bodhidharma who hailed from south india

  • the yoga sustras of patanjali are used in kung fu.not mention the mudaras .so we taught you kungfu and u disrespect u now

  • now coming to kungfu the 108 points are nothing but marma points in kalari pattu

  • epitach for faru gives line describing descent bodhidharma as the first patricah

  • 2.written by tanlin brief biography of 'dharma master' to the 2 entrances and four acts which support bodhidharma as a kalari traditonal south indian. though he was in line for throne he gave his white laymabs robe for the black robe of a monk.

  • to the one talking bluff about bodhidharma. There are 2 extanct records of bodhidharma. 1 .yang xuanchi wriiten by yang in 547 who used to translate buddhist texts to chineese languages.he says in his writings about a buddhist monk from india about 120 years old.broughton tells the presence in luyong between 516 to 526 when yongsi was at its height

  • wiki shaolin kung fu - History

wiki shaolin monestery - patron saint - at the bottom it talks about the indian monk, and what martial arts historians think of him bringing kung fu to China

wiki Bodhidharma - Bodhidharma at Shaolin

NOBODY believes this fantasy anymore. even something as basic as wiki has caught on. keep dreaming.

  • • So in conclusion, there was kung fu before shaolin. There was shaolin kung fu before bodhi. The creation of the animal styles is documented, no bodhi. The one source that credits bodhi is faulty and the author of that one preface was viewed as an “IGNORANT VILLAGE MASTER”

    The End, dreams over.

  • • Sinews Changing Classic: Scholars disregard this preface because it has many anachronistic mistakes and the fact that popular fictional characters from Chinese literature, including the "Bushy Bearded Hero" (虬髯客), are listed as lineage masters. In fact, Ling Tinkang (1757-1809), a SCHOLAR of the QING Dynasty, described the author (Li Jing) as an “IGNORANT VILLAGE MASTER”

  • • The painting in Shaolin does NOT depict bodhi teaching shaolin monks. It actually only shows many shades of monks, all wearing Chinese clothes, practicing kung fu. Leave it to dreamers to think anyone who is a shade darker than light is Indian. Even if they were, no indication whatsoever about bodhi. PLUS the painting was done a THOUSAND years after bodhi’s time. It CANNOT be used as an indication of the past.

  • • The ONE place that credits bodhi is discredited: ONLY the PREFACE of the 1800s VERSION of the Yijin Jing mentions Bodhi with shaolin at all. Historians (like Tang Hao, Xu Zhen and Matsuda Ryuchi) discredit this preface because it is FULL of INACCURACIES. Even getting the Emperor Reigns wrong.

  • • Creation of 5 animal kung fu styles is documented, NO BODHI: Jueyuan was a master of the 18 Luohan Hands. the original 18 techniques of Shaolin. He expand to 72, but wanted to do more. He travel to Gansu Province to the city of Lanzhou and met Li Sou. He was a master of Hong Quan. they work with Bai YuFeng and expand the 72 techniques to around 170. Those 170 techniques were than divided into the 5 animal forms.

  • • Shaolin kung fu predates bodhi: The 2 men who became the VERY FIRST Shaolin monks were ALREADY experts in kung fu. Shaolin kung fu came from them. ("History of Chinese Martial arts: Jin Dynasty to the Period of Disunity") Also, they found weapons in the monestaries of Chang'an. ("Martial arts Myths of Shaolin Monastery, Part I: The Giant with the Flaming Staff") Suggesting the monks already practiced martial arts.

  • Pure Facts that destroy delusional dreamers:

    • Kung Fu predates shaolin: Spring and Autumn Annals of Wu and Yue, the Bibliographies in the Book of the Han Dynasty and the Records of the Grand Historian all document martial arts that predate Shaolin. A good example is Shuai Jiao, grappling martial art.

  • bodhidharma transfered marial arts to china. Think im lying , that's why bodhidharma is worshipped even today in shaolin temple

  • woow and i must say i'm glad to see a woman in there just basically doing martial arts no sexy clothing nothing but martial arts

  • @amdag1 right bro bodhidharma introduced martial arts to china. when he saw weakness in monks he intoduced physical fitness to strength their bodies which later became shaolin .chineese proudly say that kungfu was creted in china. but historians prove that bodidharma who was expert in kalaripattu was a pallavan prince of tamil nadu.he also taught how to crue several thousand diseases to chineese people. that's why he is still worshiped in shaolin temple.

  • @karatye *sister lol and thats awesome :3

  • WHO THE FUCK IS SAYING KUNG FU WASN'T INFLUENCED BY INDIA? READ UR FUCKING HISTORY TEXTBOOKS OUR INDIAN MONKS TAUGHT U YOGA AND THATS HOW KUNG FU CAME TO WHERE IT IS TODAY.

  • Qing Scholars of the same time as the preface denounced the author of the preface as "an ignorant village master" because there are MANY historical errors in the preface, including getting who was emperor at the time WRONG. that is like saying Bush is still president.

    google this

"A Venerated Forgery: The Daoist Origins of Shaolin’s Famous Yijin Jing Manual By Jim R. McClanahan"

    For detailed examples.

  • im not sure it can really be taken seriously as a Martial Arts...

is it a form of self defense? i think not..

  • this martial art is the godfather of kung fu, karate etc. we can clearly see the exercises, techniques etc. being done here are also in karate, kung fu etc.

  • It's also known as southern Kalarippayatu

  • Indians were great warriors. They always lost against foreign invadors.

  • @ruzickaw haha LOL !!!

  • epic

  • @ angry no matter how much u bark all martial arts are from india and ur barking does not change the fact not only the arts but also ur way of living is also heavily influnced from indian culture like how u come here to defend ur people or ur country to save ur asses using false citations the point is how u are trying to save ur ass but do not do it unethically accept what has been seen and proven peace be upon u internet bashing is of no use man

  • great!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how about vadjra musti( sorry if i called it wrong)..that's not a mother of allmartial arts?

  • @all.

Martial arts never born in india or sholin kung not evolve from the indian martial art.Actually martial arts was born from himalaya in nepal from kirata mongoloied race, then shifted to india and china.Buddha himself was mongoloied man of nepal or kirata tribe not indian or aryan bear in your mind.Another thing bodhidharma is nothing more then fictitious man and one brahmin from south india can't become buddhist monk, it's all big joke ok indians.

  • indus civilisation is more than 6000years old stop tracing back origins.Hindu religion itself is 5000years old..siddhartha gautam is a hindu name..his father a king(BUDDHA).gurkhas trace themselves to be deciple of a hindu guru.his followers included powerful ppl n brahmins ready to follow him.BTW as far as 2000 years back no india w0 no nepal was there its today on those days hinduism was present upto indonesia so wake up

  • NO WONDER ALEXANDER THE SO CALLED GREAT NEVER CONQUERED INDIA!!!

  • he conquered a part of it(im indian) btw his army refused to go anyfurther...gaddis n pathans r said to be greek army soldiers descendents

  • It's a tall tale that kalari is somehow the originator of all martial arts (though it is certainly the oldest) but that isn't the case with the most famous one. Shaolin is said to be a fighting style influenced by Bodhidharma, the Indian patriarch of Zen buddhism. When he took over Shaolin monastery, he started the practice of martial arts.

  • @lozoft9

    Bodhidharma was Kalari expert

  • there moves look like some lanky form with wierd movement kinda unpredictable i like it lol but it just looks awkward to me i like there weapon styles though

  • the origin of kempo and karate

  • I know them; it's in chavakkad kerala! is it Angelie? I still do Kalari payat!!

    camilia

  • Seems very orientally influenced. My question is, how old could this fighting style be if metallurgy came so late to the South asian subcontinent.

  • @NAzTRAdamUS If you actually had a brain, you'd know that Asian martial arts draws it's origins from India. Plus another thing, the Indians were the unquestionable masters of metal work. They were the ones who creates Wootz steel or have you ever heard of the iron pillar in India? So actually know what the fuck you are on about before you say stupid shit.

  • @tarantinoisahack - LOL!! I love the way you stated that.

  • @bigtexansfan Thanks.

  • @tarantinoisahack : They were the ones who creates Wootz steel or have you ever heard of the iron pillar in India? = YOU ARE RIGHT! But KA-LA-RI Is A Binary-Sound Code That Originates From TA-MA-RE: AfRAKA! The KALARI-Masters Are Grateful For The AfRAKAN Heritage Of Martial-Art Given To Them By The Pineal-Cone-Masters! The Indians Then Passed Aspects Of MONTU-Arts To The Chinese Who Claim They Created The Art Which Is False. The Chinese Are Also Hiding The ORIGINS OF Their TANG-DYNASTY!

  • @Standardfrank I'm sorry but I don't know about these Montu arts. As far as I know, there is a Black tribe in India but I don't think they brought over martial arts.

  • @tarantinoisahack eh. doesn't matter if it originated from India or not.

  • AZ(^O^)7☆It's so cool.I can find roots of martial art.

  • @angryaznman

STFU!!! why is it that you talk so much shit on indian martial arts videos?!?!? srsly, practically every indian martial arts video is filled with your stupid ass comments trying to prove that kung fu wasn't influenced by India. why do u care so god damn much?!? do u even have a life?!?!? you've been commenting like this forever from what i've seen. just stop wasting everyone's time and please get a life.

  • @angryaznman i know that you can't prove all this shit you're saying to the rest of the world, so you resort to just wasting everyone's time on youtube. LMFAO it's hilarious to see how much of a life you don't have, and honestly, no one cares about your stupid remarks, and making racist comments against Indians doesn't make you any smarter either, your own government would be ashamed of you.

  • @Zacone14 word. couldn't have put it better myself. time for angryyaznman to get another account.

  • @Zacone14 You are not the only person who's come across the indecencies of this ass hole. On Khmer and Laos kickboxing vid this guy has spouted his chinese propaganda as well.

  • @Zacone14 lol

  • @Zacone14 if ur chinese..the person u worship bodi darman..master of all martial arts..he is the a tamilian and master of shaolin kung fu and kalari...u people worship to him and and talk like this...if ur a white...practically just fuck off..u people no nothing about martial arts..all u know is attack in boxing..which lifeless people do..research about bodi dharman he was the founder of herbs treatments..!not the whites!

  • @angryaznman HOLY SHIT YOU ARE STILL TROLLING ON THE SAME VID OMFG.....a YEAR AGO I WAS WATCHING THIS AND YOU ARE STILL BITCHING GOD YOU REALLY ARE A NO LIFER

  • The man who played with the fire was excellent

  • for everyone else. come learn some psychology. eternallyviv is a perfect example of this.

"proof of assertion" look it up on google. he thinks by repeating his own silly comments, i will slowly accept it and he will stop looking stupid.

second example, lets all look up "psychological projection":

a person unconsciously denies their own attributes which are then ascribed to others.

aka. what replying on YT really means when he msged ME first and exposed himself as some sort of stalker.

  • @angryaznman LMAO. This dude is loaded with issues

  • @eternallyviv "Yes, that makes me a pathetic loser but I am not sure why you are spending so much time on internet. You are responding to almost every comment and every dude who pisses you off."

    - YOU

    ahaha

  • Aside from the online argument going on the video that was posted is really interesting.

  • I like how the spin in thisma. It makes it hard and difficult to read momvemnts.

  • u idiot who said buddhism entered china with the Han dynasty?I said Buddhism spread to china because of Ashoka's and Kanishka's patronage of buddhism. Kanishka's empire survived into 2nd century AD, way after Han-wth r u blabbering abt, pea-brain. u gook loving chink, get a brain first before u puke.

  • @ginutg this is known fact. all outsiders were barbarians to the Han Dynasty. including indians.

  • @ginutg

    wiki

    "Great Anti Buddhism Persecution"

"its purposes were to appropriate war funds and to cleanse China of foreign influences"

the most open Chinese dynasty still did this so that YOU never get it confused. they LET buddhism and other things in. when they felt it was too much, they put it in its place.

  • Phillip Zarrilli, a professor at the University of Exeter and one of the few Western authorities on kalari payat, estimates that the art dates back to at least the 12th century CE. The historian Elamkulam Kunjan Pillai attributes the birth of kalari payat to an extended period of warfare between the Cheras and the Cholas in the 11th century CE.

  • @angryaznman foolish cunt, Exeter is bollocks amongst British universities moron. But anyway Cheras and Cholas along with the Pandyas existed long before 11th Century BC.What with Mauryan inscriptions of Keralaputra mentioned. Kalari style weapons found in the ruins of Muziris would also give u itches.

  • @ginutg ahaha whats wrong. cant deal with real facts huh. exist doesnt mean anything. they are dating a martial art. you cant even read LOL.

  • Kalari TRUTH:

In Sangam, Kalari was not used as a martial act according to dick Luijendijk, a researcher at the university of Nijmegen. "Kalari" is a centre of learning in Kerala. they taught language, math etc. later on, there were fight schools, thats what "payattu kalari" means.

  • @angryaznman payattu means action u sodding loser, and learning was coupled with martial sciences in many parts of ancient India. thats based on teaching them to scions of royals.

  • @ginutg LOL cant accept the truth from historians from KERALA?

thats rich. kalari is a centre of learning, that is old. but kalari payyattu was not. that is the difference and something indians ignore so that they can claim KP was much older than it really is.

but INDIAN historians tell the truth.

  • I saw this in Munnar, Kerala, it is in Indian religious text that this martial arts is mentioned, it said it was training for fighting in wars, instead of fighting for enlightenment this martial art was a training for war, written in the Indian palace museums, Old one of the oldest dating at least 2,300 b.c.e. maybe further, removed from India when British ruled, forgotten and only recently making a come back. It really is just starting to promote themselves.

  • much respect

  • @angryaznman please do not go by course books written by foreign influence, which may even say to the extent that Vasco De Gama discovered China, Hong Kong, Japan and India. Try to check your facts again and go by what locals say which can be Shaolin monks in this case. Otherwise it seems like you are a useless fellow trying to waste everybody's time. There are more people agreeing to Indian version then Your version.

  • @besirper only delusional indians. truth hurts doesnt it. little of what i listed was by foreigners. be clear, no Shaolin Monk says Bodhi created kung fu. recognize the difference between spiritual and physical.

    Also....

wiki Kushan Empire, Contacts with China.

    wiki Sino India War, Result

you are insane if you think Chinese would bother to learn any fighting from Indians.

how many people agree is cop out. cant debate me with facts so just dont.

  • @angryaznman dumb spammer there is no any similarity between Chinese and Indian martial art.If you've got so much knowledge dont show it off in front of idiots.keep it yourself.you know the truth so its great, let other fool around!

  • @angryaznman No shaolin monk says Boddhidharma created kung fu?Hmmm thts yr evidence?Historical documents and verbal connotations passed on are evidence of this fact. Kushan empire, I dont need to wiki. Kushans were an Iranic tribe that existed in Central Asia and prospered due to the silk route.Contacts with China were primarily for silk moron,Kushans werent Chinese.Their original homeland also wasnt in actual China.Kanishka was an Aryanic tribe chief who became greatest Kushan emperor.U r Pwnd

  • @ginutg list them. oh wait, you cant. because indians always lie.

  • Cnt debate u with facts?yr idiotic english aside, facts are not yr opinions, jabroni, Indians r considered to be the primary martial exponents of history.Evidence of it is seen in the Vedic literature of the Mahabharata. Until Han united China, u had no true civilization of magnitude there. It ws Ashoka and Kanishka who spread buddhism so wide and China got an identity.Until then it was confucius saying"Get stuffed and sod off"

  • @ginutg are you retarded? buddhism didnt enter China until after the collapse of the Han Dynasty.

yeah i can argue facts. im going to destroy your pathetic inferior slumdog mind now. read and cry.

  • @ginutg

said "It ws Ashoka and Kanishka who spread buddhism so wide and got China an identity."

You do realize Taoism existed in China befor Buddhism dont you?

  • @1NX9

Do you know about bodhidharma ?

  • @TheDhruv002

Yes I do know something about bodhidharma and also its influence in Asia.

But Taoism existed in China befor the arrival Buddhism.

For anyone to imply that China didnt have an "identity" befor the arrival of Buddhism is pushing it. There was already a thriving culture there.

  • @1NX9

The siddhas were the ones who spread applied philosophy. Bogar was known by the name of “Bo-Yang Lao-Tzu”, and became the founder of the great world- renowned philosophy of Taoism. Bodhidharma went after!. Buddha was still not in view at that time. Chinese people were great in grasping knowledge and innovation as he says in the texts and he took some as students and taught them the science of inner view.

  • @fun4everlast

I hope you are not using Marshall Govindan (which so many sites qoute for the Bogarnathar -Lao Tzu claim) as your source?

  • @angryaznman : Dude I am asian too and it sucks that we are so well versed with our histor but we end up getting emotional on internet debating history. I know white chics don't like us and our own women are going to them. So we end up sitting in our university labs and vicariously feel triumphant on other races/cultures by pounding them instead of women. I would advise seeing a dating coach and investing some time on self-improvement This way your internet time would be substituted by some sex

  • @eternallyviv ahaha stop faking you pathetic loser. w/e your personal issues in life are your problem not mine.

it is far more likely you are a butt hurt indian that cant accept the truth. truth of history, and truth of reality. that indians are bigger losers socially than anyone else.

  • @angryaznman : Nah dude I am not Indian. But I am not as racially superior as the descendant of Han either. I am vietnamese, inferior to you. Yes, that makes me a pathetic loser but I am not sure why you are spending so much time on internet. You are responding to almost every comment and every dude who pisses you off. WIth so much anger how the hell can you get laid. I would be surprised. I wish I was indian though, at least I have arranged marriage option. But I am asian like u in US.

  • @eternallyviv are you insane? how the hell would you know what i do on the internet.

the only one who needs a life is you if you are following me around like you imply.

you virgin loser issues is your problem, not mine. tell it to someone who cares.

  • @angryaznman please dont kill me han descendant. I am just a gook who like you has given up his quest for women since my own kind, including yours, go for double eyelid surgeries to look more white and then go for white men. While I am here trolling on the web, like you gaining validation by pounding other races and trying to vicaariously gain superiority complex through my gook heritage, in case of you han heritage. I bet you also claim that hans are most intelligent and physically strongest?

  • @eternallyviv nice try. i dont even think you are viet. but it doesnt matter what trash you are. you seem to live in some imaginary world. a pathetic one at that.

you keep thinking this is an online thing, but i am jsut as arrogant in real life. you keep hoping that you got me pegged. a nerd, a geek, a virgin, like you?

too bad. obviously im not going to prove anything to trash like you, but for sure your wish is not true. which is why your ridiculous assumptions are nothing to me LOL.

  • @angryaznman

    angry han angry han,

there was a BOY called an angry han

he trolled through the web to look for fun

he found nothing so his mind went dumb

the more you come back the more you validate the issues you have. Imagine a chic dumping you, you would go ballistic on her like a goofball. I am still telling you there could be a dating coach in HK. Find him, he will help you out get outta your head and make use of the other head

  • @eternallyviv ahaha, that would make sense if YOU didnt msg ME first. even funnier, you came with remarks about what i do on the internet/youtube.

so you basically started with a huge announcement to everyone that you are more like a stalker than anything else.

in reality, you are desperate for my attention. so be grateful i give you 20 sec of my life to give you what you NEED. my attention.

ps. ive taken up to 3rd yr courses i psychology and sociology. please dont waste my time.

  • @angryaznman who disagrees? hans have the highest IQ on this planet. They invented everything. Everybody else is dumber than hans.

  • @eternallyviv you sure are

  • @angryaznman angry han angry han cant get used to a vietnamese pun

dude men people like you make me want to bone asian chics left and right.... yummy

  • @eternallyviv

"no chin" han has the highest IQ on the planet ? I knew they were the ugliest race, but not this ..

Man, the things you learn on the net..

  • @eternallyviv

"Yes, that makes me a pathetic loser but I am not sure why you are spending so much time on internet. You are responding to almost every comment and every dude who pisses you off."

remember that? this is where you expose yourself as my groupie. how would you know what i do unless you are following me around?

but the real gold here is the first part. where you admit you are pathetic loser. which is just funny LOL.

  • @angryaznman I am your groupie, a pathetic loser and an abhorrence on this planet for being lower than han dynasty. What can I say angry han. The more you get pissed the more entertainment for the people until you finally realize that your hate towards non-han and your helplesness towards your own kind getting double eyelid surgeries to run away with the white man is catapulting into a rage that can eventually kill innocents if you go on a shooting rampage in HK. Angry han please spare me.

  • @eternallyviv

"proof of assertion" look it up on google. he thinks by repeating his own silly comments, i will slowly accept it and he will stop looking stupid.

    look up "psychological projection":

a person unconsciously denies their own attributes which are then ascribed to others.

  • @angryaznman . Dang sorry han descendant. I realised I was pissing you off and that would put my life under threat as you might end up shooting people/me like that korean kid in that north east university. You are smart and you can trace my IP annd thats it I will be history. Sorry man. I accept I am a loser. Please spare me.

  • 7. So in conclusion, there was kung fu before shaolin. There was shaolin kung fu before bodhi. The creation of the animal styles is documented, no bodhi. The one source that credits bodhi is faulty and the author of that one preface was viewed as an “IGNORANT VILLAGE MASTER”

    The End, dreams over.

  • @angryaznman shut up your just 1 big piece of meat frustration!!!

  • 6. Sinews Changing Classic: Scholars disregard this preface because it has many anachronistic mistakes and the fact that popular fictional characters from Chinese literature, including the "Bushy Bearded Hero" (虬髯客), are listed as lineage masters. In fact, Ling Tinkang (1757-1809), a SCHOLAR of the QING Dynasty, described the author (Li Jing) as an “IGNORANT VILLAGE MASTER”

  • 5. The painting in Shaolin does NOT depict bodhi teaching shaolin monks.

  • 4. The ONE place that credits bodhi is discredited: ONLY the PREFACE of the 1800s VERSION of the Yijin Jing mentions Bodhi with kung fu at all. Historians (like Tang Hao, Xu Zhen and Matsuda Ryuchi) discredit this preface because it is FULL of INACCURACIES. Even getting the Emperor Reigns wrong.

  • 3. Creation of 5 animal kung fu styles is documented, NO BODHI: Jueyuan was a master of the 18 Luohan Hands. the original 18 techniques of Shaolin.

  • 2. Shaolin kung fu predates bodhi: The 2 men who became the VERY FIRST Shaolin monks were ALREADY experts in kung fu. Shaolin kung fu came from them. ("History of Chinese Martial arts: Jin Dynasty to the Period of Disunity") Also, they found weapons in the monestaries of Chang'an. ("Martial arts Myths of Shaolin Monastery, Part I: The Giant with the Flaming Staff") Suggesting the monks already practied martial arts.

  • Pure Facts that destroy delusional dreamers:

    1. Kung Fu predates shaolin: Spring and Autumn Annals of Wu and Yue, the Bibliographies in the Book of the Han Dynasty and the Records of the Grand Historian all document martial arts that predate Shaolin. A good example is Shuai Jiao, grappling martial art.

  • you ignore the fact several mudra's from Indian yoga have been found in chinese and japanese martial arts, so have several breathing exercises, you also fail to take into account the presence of bodhidharma cave on Mt song which is revered by monks TO THIS DATE, also all the monks there agree in unison that chinese ma came from India the only people who debate this seem to be the one's who've never met the monks anyway I'm returning this oct and you can come along and see for yourself,

  • you've chosen to ignore the fact that the people who say chinese ma came from India are much much more respected that the no name random historian who claim to have discredited the yi yi jing, secondly you ignore the fact that several moves in shaolin kung fu name's have INDIAN origins eg: Indra's roar, you ignore the fact that the 108 pressure points of shaolin kung fu correspond to the marmam point's and best of all, I was at song shan for 2 years and everyone said the same thing.

  • also, I see you're from hong kong, well I'm coming back in october and am going to be in HK for about 2 and a half weeks, I've already made it clear I'd really love to spar with you, but I guess you can leave half a dozen comment's full of insults but simply choose to ignore that.great going keyboard warrior.

  • SO IN CONCLUSION, there was kung fu before shaolin. There was shaolin kung fu before bodhi. The creation of the animal styles is documented, no bodhi. The one source that credits bodhi is faulty and the author of that one preface was viewed as an “IGNORANT VILLAGE MASTER”
