Had one of these when I was a kid and actually beat the thing once. 31 rapidly flashing lights and sounds to repeat then victory. Had the winner tune followed by the low tone which stayed on until I switched the unit off. Of course you could easily generate the winning tune by selecting to create your own sequence and then just keep pressing the same colour over and over until the end.

I used to own one of these portable Simon games when I was little. I played it a lot. I remember this little trick where, I'd switch the game on, and start pressing one of the color buttons repeatedly and consistently for a long time. Then after a certain number of times, or amount of time it would play the won game pattern or something where all 4 buttons rapidly (lit up) played a series of random tune patterns by itself. At least that's what I recall. This was years ago when I was a kid.

It would be possible... For a super computer. Even though it does a random button, a super computer can finish it because of it's perfect memory. The Simon Says machine can't go on forever, as it will run out of RAM to keep track of the pattern it has randomly generated. The unit will probably crash, that is unless Simon Says is programmed to stop after a while allowing the user to win the game.
