When I play drums I use both hand right and left..notice when I'm on the Ride cymbal I'm using the right. Right foot bass drum , yes.

I was wanting to listen to this song with the drum beat being emphasized - glad I found your post.

If you re-do this again, I have a suggestion.

Try to begin with just your drum beat for a couple measures, then have the music come in.

And could you change the lead "voice" being used on the midi file to something heavier sounding?

Wow, that WAS very impressive. I do need to get some tracks without drums to play along with. The only thing I don't like about the tracks you have though is the fact that they don't sound like real instruments. Is that just a necessary sacrifice to get the tracks without drums? If so, that's cool. I have a lot to work on.

It depends on your midi sound source. Mine was a small laptop the othere instruments sound somewhat cheezy. However if you ran that same midi file through a nice key synth, it would sound alot better. The basic point is to help train you with your time and playing with a real band. That is what midi files are great for.
