I have been here during winter when it doesnt start getting light until around 10:30 am. Its quite surreal when youre not used to it! Such a beautiful, mysterious little country. xx
@johnnypocketrocket We actually went in February so it was late winter and from what I can remember the sun set around half past five in the evening, which is later than here in the UK. I would definately reccommend visiting in the winter. Haven't been during summer, but would like to, to see the contrast!
@johnnypocketrocket To be honest I would imagine that the locals get used to it. And its ponly during the winter months- its the opposite in summer during the MIdnight Sun. And there is so much beautiful scenery and things to see and do especially outdoors, that it more than compensates for a few months of darker mornings! I would definately reccommend visiting here if you ever get chance.
@ailee241 One thing I definitely what to do in life if just once is see the midnight sun, might visit for a couple of day because I've heard Iceland is quite expensive.
i meant to type 'only' by the way :)

@ailee241 That would be surreal night time all the time nearly. Does it not get the locals down being in the dark for so long?
