R.I.P. >Down in Austin Cap City, Texas. my Blood brother Chris Clark is the Greatest guitarist to walk the face of the Earth. He will pown every guitarist.
i saw this 2 videos of guitar gods and i'm totally agree but may be you can put in there steve vai yngwie malmsteen and paul gilbert .but this is the best video of guitar gods i have seen in here because alot of people thinks that speed is the best but i'm not agree whith that i think that to be a very good guitar playaer is to feel the music and make the audience feel that too. see ya form mexico Cheko Cheyenne
This is nicely put together. It's a good reminder of some greats. It would have to be a few hours long(er) to include everyone who deserves to be in there: Steve Howe, Steve Vai, Steve Morse, Steve Miller, Stevie Ray Vaughan... and that's just a few Steves!
whats wrong with that... those are good guitarists... you might think theyre not that good but thats just because better guitarists now exist.. and thats just because music evolves...
hey you,i think you dont know anytin about guitar,
Steeve lukather,Larry carlton and many more guitarist have their influence from george harrison.george have great taste and melodic phrasing from his guitar playing
David gilmore plays with such emotion and feel......not a fast player, but very soulful..............same with Carlos;he always puts the notes in excatly the right spot, very souful............lifeson is just aregular player, brian is just a little better, satrianni is a great player, not quite as artistic ,townsend is just a regular player
thes classic rock and hardrock guitarst are amazing but toooo much classic rock im not realy into classic rock that much but i lik hardrock and heavy metal much more..thanks video
Where is John Frusciante, or even John Mayer? I honestly think they are much better guitarists than Carlos Santana. Not that Santana is all that bad, but there are some guitarists that I feel are much better, like the above two I mentioned or Jeff Beck.
Like I said, Santana isn't at all a bad guitarist. But I just don't think he is good enough to be considered a 'great.' If he is, John Frusciante, John Mayer, and especially Jeff Beck should also be on this list. Heck, maybe even Dave Matthews (an extremely underrated guitarist).
So I guess Frusciante has sucked his way toward the top with one of the top bands throughout the past two decades? And Mayer has done the same to be rated as one of the top modern guitarists? Clapton seems to like him (he's played with him several times), maybe Eric is losing his mind? Or, according to you, does Clapton suck too?
I think it is called marketing, you know, that thing big companies do, so they put clapton with a fresh star (note that I wrote star, not guitar god) to gain him some younger fans, so what? that says shit, and about frusciante, addmit it, you like the band, the fact that u like them or their succes has nothing to do with their abbilities, as I recall nirvana was hugely succesfull, and kurt was a shitty guitar player, also elvis, and the white stripes, and many other guitar players
wheres Kurt Cobain??!?!??! jk he's a horrible guitarist. but still man your missing everyone. Especially Hendrix and Page and as everyone says Jeff Beck.
this guitarists are the famous ones in rock history youd better give recognition to those are least famous but really good guitarists. Nice selection btw
every single one of these videos is missing one revolutionary individual, Jerry Garcia. hes* better than half these dudes, although he has a whole different style. Garcia forever and ever and ever....and ever
every single one of these videos is missing one revolutionary individual, Jerry Garcia. its better than half these dudes, although he has a whole different style. Garcia forever and ever and ever....and ever
Very Nice selection, although no EVH, Steve Vai, or Yngwie Malmsteen (plus i like the lack of Kurt Cobain), i still respect and relate with your opinion and dont worry what others say, this is your opinion, and you can assert it any way you want, not by viewer request.
I agree with all of those choices, but yeh, you have missed out EDDIE VAN HALEN - I mean if you want the most beautiful piece of playing ever, what about the intro to "Women in Love", or for extreme playing, the A.F.U. solo or One Foot Out The Door
pretty cool, but your missing eddie van halen. i sure hope that doesnt mean you dont like evh cause that guys guitar solos give me chills and make me crap myself.

So, Mr. Internet-keyboard-warrior-genious, what exactly DOES make a guitarist a god?
