  • I forgot how much i like this song! Great video!

  • @3dscott Thanks, glad u like it :)

  • why do you have a noctua fan and a coolermaster fan on the megashadow? why not get 2 noctua or 2 coolermaster?

  • @VVoooTang oh that, i spent all my money on buying the main parts, only had very little to buy one noctua fan lol. i ended up buying another one a month later

  • What the song at 3:57?

  • @STAKERism the song is Boom Boom Pow by The Black Eyed Peas

  • isn`t your CPU fan actually blowing down? That ll be a blow if you know what i mean.

  • @Yottskry nope, the creamy noctua fan is intaking air from the 180mm fans at the bottom, the black coolermaster fan on the cooler is exhausting heat away to the top of the case where another 120mm fan exhausts the air out of the case

  • Can your SAMSUNG Blu-ray Drive fit in the top drive bay ?

  • @Ablive07 the blu-ray drive was too long to fit on the top drive bay, it may fit with right angle SATA power and SATA data cable but i dont have these to try. The DVD burner was shorter and would fit in the top bay without any issues, with drives in the 1st and 2nd bay, it would be better to use right angle connections

  • What song is this?

  • @MooreProductionsMP3 its the mortal combat tune remix

  • Nice, liking the lights and the cooling

  • Was good up until you played black eyed peas

  • @ghost626 only song with bass i cud think at the time to test the sound controller lool

  • Nice build, just curious what to have the ram OC'ed too, with the CPU at 4.1

  • @WestCoastMods, thanks

in the bios the ram was 1603mhz. The bclk was i think around 195ish with the multiplier and 21. My old rampage II extreme went, so i got a rampage III instead.

Going to try n get the i7 920 back to 4.1ghz. i'll let you no the settings if im successful

  • @dipzyv Yeah let me know as I have only been able to get the CPU to 3.9 with the ram clocked at around 1600Mhz... maybe with some more tweaking I could have succeeded, but I just don't have the luxury of devoting that much time to it.

  • thats a LOOOOOONG 850 watt psu o_O usually they dont get that big till you bust 1000 watts

  • @TheRealSergentSiler lol. that's what i thought when i bought it

  • That music light sync is awesome duuuuude!!!! Whats the name of this neon lights? any newegg links ?

    xD

  • @madzane94 , Im glad you like it. The cold cathode tubes are from sunbeam and you will also need a sound activated module to make the cathodes flash according to the music. Im from the UK so i have never used newegg but i have checked their sites and they do have cold cathodes from logisys which look very identical to the ones im using. I will message you the link for them

  • @dipzyv Where did you order the cathode and the sound thing? Can you order it from the UK to Belgium? I'm speechless

  • @racerollebol the cathode is made by sunbeam, i got them from maplins, i dont know if they ship to Belgium. The sound module i bought from oznium and they ship worldwide so if shouldn't be a problem from them to send it to belgium

  • @dipzyv Thank you!

  • This is almost identical to the rig I'll be building within the next few months.

Just different video card and motherboard. Can't decide between the 920 or 950.

Maybe 920 because it's cheaper and you have yours overclocked quite well for air. :D

  • @ExorcismSaw , i would recommended getting the i7 930, which is going to replace the i7 920, it roughly the same price and you can achieve the overclock i got or even better with i7 930.

  • @dipzyv 4.0GHz is easy on i7 930 should have no problems at all. :)

  • damn, great light effects!!

  • @mustafakhish Thanks :)

  • love this case...got nearly the same

  • by the way, what thermal paste did you use?

  • arctic silver 5 thermal paste

  • @dipzyv okay. do you know if arctic cooling MX-3 is any good? i have heard good things about MX-2, and MX-3 is supposed to be better

  • @ X0UN0X

I have used MX-2 in the past and it was great. I haven't used MX-3 yet although i may get it in the next few weeks.

  • By the way, what thermal paste are you using?

  • im using arctic silver 5 thermal paste

  • is the prolimatech working better then the h50? and what are the core temps at idle?

  • The temps at idle for the four cores are 30c,35c,30c,34c .

After installing the prolimatech, i found out that it is better than the H50. At full 100% load on teh H50 i was getting 87c-90c on all four cores but with the prolimatech i get 68c-72c on all four cores which is a big difference.

  • have you found any differences in temperature after removing the fan covers?

  • I removed the fans covers and found out that there is a small difference in temps. They went down by 4c-6c on each of the four cores so i guess removing them does give slightly lower temps.

  • Alright, good to know :)

  • one of the fans is rotating at 1500rpm and the other fan is rotating at 1200rpm

  • Comment removed

  • A 5970 will fit in this case but you will have to remove the fan grill for the 180mm fan.

I found a image that shows it will fit in this case, i will send you the link via a youtube message as youtube wont' let me post it with this comment.

  • cheers for the info......... should sway my case decision for my newbuild

  • Nice build, I was thinking about doing something similar. The power cable to the graphics card, would you be able to wire it through the cable management holes at the bottom instead of taking it on the front? Is the cable too short? It looks better if you have it hidden more. It would look better with two black fans on the Mega Shadow or just to fans with the same color. What fans are you using?

Other than those things, I think your build couldn't be better :) Nice work

  • @X0UN0X, thanks for the comment.

Yeah the reason why i put power cable where it is, is because they are short. I tried to see what it would like with the power cables coming out from the managment holes but they went across the 180mm fan affecting air flow. Im thinking of getting extension cables so that i can hide them.

The intake fan on the megashadow is a corsair fan and the other one is a Noctua NF-P12. I waiting on a 2nd NF-P12. If only them fans were black they would look so cool.

  • @dipzyv Okay, but can you get the cable onto the card alright, airflow aside? I have been looking around for good black fans and Scythe Slip Stream Slim 120mm 1200rpm seemed to perform well while being silent, and of course they are black :). I thought of the slim ones in case there might be a problem of clearance for the ram if they have big heatsinks. Fell free to look it up, I might be wrong. Would the airflow improve if the covers for the fans were removed? Might make it even cooler.

  • @X0UN0X , im able to get the power cable alright.

I had to bend one end of two clips that hold the intake fan on the cooler slightly as it was getting in the way of the corsair dominator ram which have large heatsink with fins but you cant tell when you at it.

If the covers from the fan were to be removed, it could possibley cool better, might have to try it and see what the temps are.

  • Okay, try that, and let me know if there is any difference. The strap around the PSU, is it in the way of the fan? If it is, you could remove it and get better airflow through the PSU, unless it's unstable without it. Just a thought.

  • @X0UN0X,

You get little plactiv part that holds the psu to the case which is at the bottom of the psu. its stable without the strap. Thanks for the suggestion.

As for the fans, i will remove the covers and llet you know.

  • No problem, I'm glad to help. How's the noice level of the case, is the graphics card loud, is the case good at containing the noice? How are the CPU fans?

  • @X0UN0X,

The noise level is very good considering there are 3 x 180mm fans on full speed and three 120mm fans. The case has sound damping foam on both side panels, at the fron of the case where the hard drives are and also where the psu is.

I have a Asus 5870 which comes with smart doctor. using this software, i set the gpu fan on auto fan control. When im gaming you can't hear it and also when watching movies its silent.

CPU fans are great, not too load but they cool the CPU good

  • okay sounds good, what rpm are the CPU fans rotating at?
