A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw
They actually made more than four great Albums. Those were the United States Released. They had separate Albums released in Europe. Music from Consequences-very rare, I had the duel album and found the CD pared down to a single album. Snack Attack is another. Goodbye Blue Sky. Then there are various compilations of albums they created. I own "How Dare You" "Rubber Bullets" "Original Soundtrack" "Bloody Tourists" "Mirror Mirror". Also solo albums from Godley, Creme, Gouldman and Eric Stewart.
This song has an eerie feel to it, it really does feel like a swan song to this wonderful band. I still like it though, it possesses a certain charm, to be sure.
I like this song. I don't know what you 'critics' are talking about. As far as 10CC goes, they were 4 VERY talented gentlemen who, individually, were about to BURST. They all toned it down and made 4 incredible albums at a time when originality was hard to come by (it still is by the way). Bands are made up of individuals with lives of their own, but my guess is they would ALL like to have been 10CC a while longer. Those were the days, right guys?
This is not the 10cc sound that we all know and love. Erics vocals are distinctive but it's pretty dull stuff. Was McCartney trying to do an ailing 10cc a favour? Sounds like they both fell short.
Do NOT agree!!! They were a " team" and each contributed to a very important part in the bands success. Lol was a fabulous witty, smart songwriter, played many instruments and could sing incredibly well too. Kev has a beautiful voice too, and writing was no problem for him either. Both Eric and Graham have songwriting talents and Eric is a God on the guitar. I would have loved to see them all together still, however Lol and Kev had other visions and talents and ambitions. Very talented men!
I love this song it's so atmospheric and beautiful! It's a shame that 10cc no longer exists. They were certainly the best original bands to come out of the U.K in the 70's. Not only were they such great musicians, but tremendous singers too individually. It's certainly a sad loss to the music industry, and I only hope they will consider reforming even just for a farewell concert. I also hope Graham and Eric will sort out their differencies, let's face it life is too short!
i agree...they need to all come back and play the four of them ..they got close in 1992 with the meanwhile album which is excellent with godley and creme providing some vocals..
Yes, the chords of the song were written by Paul, and he played them on the track, with Bass, Strings, and Electric Piano. The lyrics and other instrumental parts were written sung, and performed by Eric Stewart.

No, i think it was originally written for Press To Play but they didn't put it in the album.

Why was 10cc post Godley/Creme so drippy and bland? Didn't Eric and Gouldman realise this stuff wasn't up to par? p.s poor show from McCartney.

Actually 10cc was way better when Eric took over.
Sort of like when Phill Collins emerged as the best talent in a band!

I sincerely hope you're joking.

Serious as cancer.
Stewart was clearly the most talented of them all!
Just compare the songs
Its obvious!

@P78756 Couldn't agree more. The bands that are around now are abysmal.

Wikipedia says that it's just Eric. But it says that Yvonnes The One was written with Paul McCartney
